Then of course, play and enjoy! Place: This playing area as I said earlier is down the stairs near the entrance. It's a lot more spacious than I would have thought, and it's pretty clean. They also have long tables which can easily each seat around at most 8 people. Activity: There's a lot of boardgames that you can play and of course, it's a first come, first serve type of thing so if the game you wanted to play is already being used, then you're gonna have to find another game to play. For me, I did not know many of these boardgames, but for those who collect and play numerous boardgames, you may know these games. Or just like me, you may not. But I think that's even better. In mid August, Jupiter Games opened on the Vestal Parkway (in the Plaza with Rite Aid, across the parking lot from Olums and Staples). This is a great game store. Personally, I'm a big fan of many of the "Euro-style" board games such as those produces by Rio Grande games. Most game stores tend to lean towards only carrying trading card games, or Miniature driven games such as Warhammer. Jupiter has a good selection of those games, but also carries a huge variety of card games, jigsaw puzzles, family games, strategic titles, and the Euro-games that I love. I make it a habit to visit gaming stores whenever I travel (God I'm a geek!)--and I'd stack this one up against anything that I've seen when I've traveled. They will be sponsoring tournaments, offer free wi-fi in store, and will be holding periodic Friday night game nights. We now have an excellent resource for gamers in the area--let's support it to keep it successful!

The cancelation was done with no notice or apology - the only reason I noticed was because I saw it pop up in my PayPal account. I am a reasonable customer and would have understood a cancelation back in February or March. This would have given me a chance to lock in an order through alternative means; however, I really have no choices now as the booster boxes are impossible to find at the prices they were back in February and March. Very disappointed and would highly recommend anyone thinking about ordering from them to not - especially if the product is a preorder!

They have already placed a special order to find a game they didn't normally carry - so customer service is great. They have a gaming room out back for playing Magic and other games. Just Games is located in a large strip plaza in Penfield, and can be a bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area (i.e. me). However, once inside, it feels like you've left the hustle and bustle of the plaza behind. The manager (owner?) of the store was super nice and showed me a few things in the store, gave me their normal schedule of events, and made sure to introduce himself and get my name as well. I purchased some sleeves for one of my games and signed up for their free customer rewards program. As well as having your normal Magic the Gathering cards and supplies, the store boasts a large collection of tabletop games and accessories. Newer titles were on the shelf as well as plenty of expansions and other goodies. The store itself has a large collection of games that customers are welcome to open up and play while in the shop, and if desired, rented out for a small fee. This was probably the highlight of my visit. I tried out a couple new games and made mental notes of the games I wanted to come back and play/rent. Despite living about 75 miles away, I fully plan on taking a trek back out here to join a game night and meet some new people, learn new games, and enjoy what this shop has to offer.

I would say this store is a must see for the casual collector. If you are looking for a rare back issue, this store is probably better suited than most for your goal. Figurines also seem to be sold with the collector in mind - Fourth Wall has one of the largest selections of pop figurines I've ever seen outside of a comic con. There are also so many odd random items tucked throughout the shop - while there, I saw a Hulk Hogan board game, a puzzle displaying meat, a variety of vhs tapes, stacks of used books... The inventory here is really unique and interesting. The stock on current issues seems a little limited, especially in Indies, but that is not unexpected in a relatively new shop. I found the staff to be welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. What makes this store really interesting is that it is already fitted to be a great community space. From the pinball at the door to the wide back issue selection to the gaming/tv/couch area in the back, 4th while invites you to hang out and stay awhile. It's a great place to bring the whole family to peruse while you pick up your monthly pull list. I look forward to seeing the store grow and find its niche over time.
