I was greeted just as warmly by Deb, the shop owner, who chatted with me as I browsed. She's got the level of attentiveness just right-- she's lovely and engaging, anticipating customer needs (like offering the fitting room, if you're looking to try on their cute selection of vintage clothing) while also giving you room to explore the gorgeously-curated boutique. There are quirky, fun details to be found in every corner. I've learned pretty much everything you see is fair game! Even antique pieces I was sure were display only, like vintage thermoses and framed art. All affordably priced. Stationery, slim beeswax tapers, canvas pouches, unique kitchen/home goods, retro posters, knicknacks, vintage accessories, and so much more. I'll be adding photos, since words can't convey the array of awesome to be found here. Even better is it's pet friendly! Bring your furry friends. I know I'm going to visit as often as I can to make up for not discovering this Ithaca gem sooner! What makes the vibe immaculate is the shop staff, especially the owner! They have been just sincerely kind, generous, and lovely people. They have a basket of free water bottles to keep visitors hydrated. This is a new local hospitality bar set! A new store every time you shop, Mimi also posts updates on instagram, so you can keep up-to-date on what's in house even when you don't have time to pop in... which you'll want to do whenever you can! Our family lost our house to a fire, so we are "frequent fliers." Most of the furniture that we now have was purchased at Mimi's. The pieces we bought all have some small story behind them which we enjoy. Mimi's has been a godsend for us. Mimi's is conveniently located in downtown Ithaca, the staff is friendly & helpful, prices are reasonable and there's always something fun and funky to marvel at even if you don't take it home with you. There are a few prime meter-free spots, but bring some change with you in case you need to park on the street. The staff has tape measures handy, but if you're looking to fill a space at home remember to give it a quick measure to ease your shopping. Mimi's, at times, can be jam-packed full of good things and navigation can be tricky if you have mobility issues. Well worth checking out again and again in person and online!

They are all in working order and ready to go. Ponzi is the force behind the shop and is very helpful and knowledgeable about the clocks. Prices are fair but due to the quality and caliper of the antiques, be prepared to spend. If you are serious about antiques, this is the place for you- you will be awed by the collection.
