They have my preferred needles- the super speedy stainless steel ChiaoGoo circulars, in just about every imaginable size and cable length. They carry lots of quality yarn, host trunk shows for artisans, and have local made products for sale- such as the bright pink skull stitch marker I picked up when I was last there. The shop itself is beautiful- bright with natural light, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The work they have on display makes me want to become a better knitter. I hope to take one of their numerous classes in the future. Knitty Gritty is very responsive on social media and their website is as great as their physical space is. There is a private parking lot which is sizable.

I saw this place the night before and made it my mission that I was just going to stop in and check…read morethings out but I ended up buying an armload of superwash wool! The woman working there was extremely helpful with my many questions. There were yarn brands that I was not familiar with and she encouraged me to take my time and have a look. The shop is nicely organized, bright, and welcoming. On this day, there was an amazing selection of yarns on sale out front!

There is a variety of price points available - and the sale rack isn't only stocked with "leftovers" or less desirable options. There's an extensive array of brands at the Yarn Cupboard, from more widely known to lesser known ones - I've been introduced to new favorites by trying out new options. Additionally, you can find yarn in many different fibers and fiber-blends. I can find the softest wool for our sensitive-skinned red-headed family members, as well as many vegan-friendly fiber choices. If you're unfamiliar with yarn or yarn crafts, there is always someone there to help. The owner, Susan, is incredibly knowledgeable - as are the employees and those who head up the classes they offer.
