3 men/movers & only 1 was qualified to carry furniture & secure in the moving truck. A large, valuable piece of furniture was not secured in the truck & turned over, broken in several places, glass shattered, cracked wood. Then 2 men were carrying it up stairs & turned it upside down, only to drop it on the stairs & cause more damage. When first getting a quote, I was told furniture items would be wrapped in moving blankets & secured in the truck. Not one piece of furniture was wrapped. I was told repeatedly it would be replaced, yet the item is no longer available. No one contacted me from the company. After days of trying to reach someone, I got several texts. They wouldn't even reimburse me enough to cover repairs. Paper work forms were completed after the move. I hired this company once before, from the original owner, it was a perfect move. I wanted to hire again to support local business, not knowing the company had different owners. One of the movers was high & should have never been allowed to touch any furniture. He was inexperienced & not coherent, didn't do much. So I paid for 3 movers when 2 would have been more ideal. Do not hire - poor judgement in hiring & if items are lost or damaged, you will not get compensated. read more

Great Day Moving did not offer us much in the way of a great day. We had originally scheduled a move with 5 team members and they showed up, without any prior notification with 4. When presented with an issue in regards to moving a piece of furniture, one of the team members became extremely irritated and threatened to take items off of the truck. He was asked to leave the premises and did, but his behavior was fair below a professional level. The move ended up taking over 4 hours and we were actually charged for an additional hour. When we asked for compensation for the way we were treated, it was denied and scoffed at. Our moving day, therefor, was less than great and I would not recommend using this company. I would like to say that the 3 team members that remained throughout the move were efficient and easy to work with and this response is not based on the work that they performed. read more

They were very accommodating, priced fairly, and the men they sent to do the job were very professional and took great care not to cause any damage to the walls or the furniture I was moving. If I could give zero stars I would!!$ Worst moving experience. Do NOT use this company. They were supposed to arrive for our move between 10:30 and 11:00 am. After stringing us along throughout the morning, ignoring phone calls, and having rude customer service on the moving day they finally showed up to our house at 5:00! We thank god found a company to move us at the last minute and chose not to have Great Day move us due to being 6 plus hours late!!! They claimed a move before us lied to them about how much they needed moved and it took way longer than expected. Instead of coming to us on time and telling the people who were deceitful they would have to come back tomorrow. They ghosted us for a few hours and finally came at night. We had multiple confirmations on the phone and email about our moving day and time and they completely disregarded everything! Don't let their blessed day introduction phone call fool you!!! They communicated before the move to get us to commit and promised unrealistic things they knew they couldn't do!! I have never been spoken to so rudely on the phone as I was on moving day when they ignored us for hours. We waited and waited for them to show up. Bad experience with Great Day Movers. They quoted me an estimate for $505. When they came to settle up they said they could not leave until I paid them $910. They dragged their feet to rack up the time - standing around talking to each other about motorcycles and siblings in prison. Several items were damaged. Our newer leather recliner couch got tears and they ruined the plug-in so now it doesn't recline. I showed them sections of items in our old home that needed to stay because they were going to thrift store. They moved them anyway so I had to haul them all back. It took them an hour to drive the 30 min drive to our new home. They stopped for lunch and wanted me to pay for that time. New Apple Pro charging cord disappeared. They acted like shady street thugs. We were scammed by Northstar Moving and Great Day Moving came out with just a few days notice on Memorial Day weekend to pick up our 3bdrm household from KS to move to WA! We hired these mover for a move on June 23. The load being a little larger than what had been estimated and the path to the truck end up being a lot longer then originally thought, but no worries. We used them to move into our home 7 years ago. We used them again to move out 2 months ago. They are fairly priced and did a decent job. I did appreciate the flexibility they afforded us in our move date. We ran into a scenario of not knowing for certain when the new place would become available. They were a little careless and rough with the walls and furniture, but nothing truly outside expectations. They did treat the antique desk with good care when called out specifically as an item to be careful with. Overall we would use them again. read more

Terrible. Showed up late to begin with. Left boxes that were clearly marked for rooms in our garage instead. Left a gas grill in my garage so I had to move it myself up 2 flights of stairs. They broke a piece of my lawn furniture and told me they would send someone to repair to get their signature. Instead, I get an email with them offering 13% of the value of the item. I tried to call their office to talk to them about it and I was told I had to reply to the email and that I couldn't talk to the guy that sent me the email. Shady to say the least. For the money I paid I did not get a professional experience and the resolution of fixing a clearly broken item has been terrible. I feel like I've been cheated now. My best advice is don't use these guys. They don't stand behind their work and they are not customer service oriented at all. read more

I've moved all over the United States, and great day moving is by far the best company I've ever used. the movers go out of there way to help with any and everything. Then to top it off the owners kept in contact with me the entire time, even after I had gotten settled in to my new place. Actually no, what you have stated is not correct. When I called to inform your company of all the damage, the man I spoke with said that as I did not indicate the damage on the sheet prior to the movers leaving, he could not do anything but he appreciated me letting him know. He recommended I go buy touch up markers at Home Depot. read more

This company is the worst run do not hire them. They showed up at my 9th floor loft and my daughter was sleeping on the couch. She had just gotten home from college where she had been diagnosed with Mononucleosis 2WEEKS earlier and had broken 2 ribs from trying to play powder puff at the same time. They looked around the loft and then decided that they were afraid of getting sick from her so they cancelled my move and let me stranded to move myself. What did the company spokesperson say? He refused to acknowledge that he had a contract with me because we had not signed anything. I must assume then (and so should you) the they were all up to criminal activities and were scared off by my Great Dane. I will consider myself lucky they left my daughter and my belongings un assaulted. Funny thing on their website they state to beware of "Rogue Movers" described as -"rogue moving companies. One online dictionary defines a rogue as "an unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal." Sadly, there are many movers out there that fit this description."
