Well in NYC all of the good silk pressed salons and hair stylists have all of these appointment requirements and it really felt so good to see this salon state that they accept walk-ins and just to call prior to coming in. Well, let's just say this was the best hair treatment that I have received in a very long time well 5 years to be exact. I went natural and this was my very first silk press and yes I got the works done. Let's just start with the amazing customer service I received when I just walked in and then the ambiance was just as amazing a the service. My stylist was Jonyece and she was very professional and she made sure that I was aware of all of my services and she definitely had the hands of magic because my natural hair came out so beautiful. The services I received was a black color, treatment, trim, wash and blow. Happy to say I now have a go to salon in Georgia. He was very friendly and personable, cutting our hair exactly as requested. He did it quickly while still checking in throughout the process to make sure that we were happy with it. My sister's stylist was also very thorough and made sure to check in with me as well to ensure my sister was getting what she wanted. This is the second time I've gotten my hair cut by Michael, and I've been very happy both times. This salon isn't close to me by any means, but it's worth the drive. Unfortunately, when I saw my hair I told her it looked really dark. She assured me that it was because it was wet and the toner would fade a bit after a couple washes. I gave her benefit of the doubt bc it looked a little lighter when she dried it. When I got home and could take a better look, my hair was a full gray and beige color. I was bright blonde. I also still have roots showing. The salon hasn't responded to either of my messages asking what we can do to fix this. It will be very hard to correct this without ruining my curl pattern and I am probably going to have to get a keratin treatment somewhere, which isn't cheap. I told my stylist that I keep my hair light bc of thinning areas because they make me self conscious. They are fully visible.
