While not everyone was wearing masks, many were and all it took was a simple request for the people working on me to mask up. Joe did my cut, and I have to say he spent more time with me discussing what I wanted than anyone else in the past. He was meticulous! It's probably the best cut I have had in decades. I'll definitely be back!

One Star - Furious, Heartbroken, and Completely Let Down…read more I cannot believe the experience I had at Trendz Salon in New Jersey. I booked an appointment with Miriam for bridal party glam waves, clip-in extensions, and makeup--clearly stating this was for a black tie wedding I was attending that night. The whole reason I scheduled this service was because I got off a flight from a wedding in Vegas at 7 AM this morning and needed to be camera-ready and on time. When I arrived, no one told me that Miriam doesn't specialize in this type of styling or makeup. They just let her take me back like everything was fine. I showed her a photo of myself with the exact look I wanted. Fast forward 2.5 hours--my hair looked frizzy and windblown, and my makeup hadn't even started. I was told I'd be done in under two hours. I was in tears at the front desk. Thankfully, two kind stylists rushed in to help and tried to salvage what they could in about 30 minutes--I'm truly grateful for their efforts. But still, only 3 of my 9 extensions were put in, and I looked nothing like I asked for. Worse? I was charged $316--full price--for this disaster. For reference, I paid less for my actual wedding hair and makeup, which looked 1000 times better. Because of this, I was also late to the wedding I was trying so hard to make it to in the first place. This experience was not only unprofessional--it was emotionally exhausting and unacceptable. I own a salon myself and would never allow something like this to happen to a client. If you're considering Trendz, do not book online. Call directly. Confirm your stylist is experienced in the service you need, and ask to see examples of their work. I will never return here and strongly caution others to be very careful before trusting them with important events.

Genuinely so sad, should have trusted the bad reviews on here…read more Carmen sat me down at a dirty station that had obviously not been cleaned up from the last client. Hair and equipment all over the place. She barely sprayed some water in my hair and proceeded to rip through knots in my ends. Didn't ask me what side I parted my hair on usually, didn't put any product of any kind in my hair, and when she did the face framing, she left me with blunt edges that made me want to cry. Edited: she didn't show me my layers in the back but when I got home and looked it's worse than the front. I never should have gone here or paid for her to ruin my hair! I walked out googling a salon near by to fix her work and everything was closed. I would have asked her to fix it but I didn't trust her skills or abilities. I added photos and I can't believe she finished the framing and said "perfect." That really nailed it in that she didn't know what she was doing.

I finally found the return email from the owner, and replied a 2nd time, but I never received a return email or phone call thereafter. Seems that this person is spitefull. It's shameful that owners of salons do not recognize a past loyal customer that needed direction and wanted to return to this salon; I had my girlfriend, who lives in North Carolina, provide her services for the past 3 years. Since this owners prices increased and was giving instructions to a junior stylist the last time I received services, even though I was paying a higher price for services from the owner ( master stylist ), I have found another salon which immediately returns both phone calls and emails and does an excellent job that I've gotten many many compliments. The owner of the salon I have found does not allow any junior stylist to work on my hair since I pay a higher price.
