I've gone to expensive upscale salons and stopped doing that because it usually ended up to be not what I asked for. At Great Clips between Dawn and Crystal I'm never disappointed ! I showed up on a recent Sunday on a whim to find out they were having a $9.99 haircut weekend ( versus usual price with us completely reasonable ) !! It's truly the best cut I've ever had. Vibe is fun and upbeat to boot ! read more

I was a walk in, and it only took 10 minutes to get to Nancy to get my hair cut. Nancy listened to exactly what I wanted. My hair came out exactly as I wanted, thanks to Nancy. I will request her when I go next time. read more

They really need to do some training on how to do a fade / taper. I asked for a 0-1 fade on the sides and back (I don't trust them to touch the top). They chop up my hair for 5 minutes and charge $19 for it. Crazy. read more

Just got a haircut today at Great Clips. Erin cut my hair, and she's amazing! She gave me an incredible layer and bangs. Erin listened to what I wanted for my hair and provided fantastic suggestions. This place is awesome!" read more

Very good service and pleasant staff. Didn't have to wait to long as a walk-in. Thank you.

My son went to this great clips to get a fade from Nancy who is the manager. She had done one before that was okay. This time my son said she was talking to the other stylists and seemed like she lost control of the cut. The attached pics are what she did to my 16 year old son's hair 2 days before his sister's wedding. My advice, stay fat AWAY from this establishment. read more

A 1 star is nice The worst haircut I ever received. My four-year-old nephew could've done a better job. So choppy, extremely short, I asked for a quarter inch off she took 2 inches. The hair is so uneven. It's so short I can't even go in and get it fixed right now until it grows read more

Shaina is my most favorite stylist ever, and I would go out of my way to have her do my hair, regardless of where she was. She is clean, professional, kind, and LISTENS to what you want done. Shaina never cuts to much, and she always makes me feel like I'm her favorite because she always remember me and what we've spoken about regardless of how long it's been. I have thin (but a lot) waves hair that's just out of control, and she always puts it into the most perfect cut, she has also recommended products that have done wonders for my hair. read more

I went in and was very impressed with how sanitized my stylists station was. Her name was Shaina. Her booth was clean, which was very comforting to me with all of the covid stuff going on right now . when it came to my haircut she was very thorough with explaining things to me and answering my questions so i immediate felt comfortable with her doing my haircut. Im glad i did because my haircut looks great and was exactly what i wanted even though i couldn't quite describe it myself! So so happy that i found someone who can actually communicate with me PROFESSIONALLY. Shaina knows what she is doing and i will be asking for her from here on out! read more

My husband had been going to this Fry's at Rita Ranch location regularly, 5 to 6 times/year since we moved to Vail, AZ many years ago. He came home tonight after getting a horrible haircut from Samantha, who not only "feathered" his hair, (instead of "layering" it, as he's always requested), but also chopped off his sideburns, contrary to his specific request that she leave them alone. The entire time he was there, she apparently talked incessantly about having found her Savior, Jesus Christ - even after he asked her politely, again and again, to stop such talk. Frankly, I was appalled at his appearance when he came home - he looks at least 10 years older than he did before he went to Great Clips tonight! Whoever is responsible for hiring and training Samantha should be alerted to both her sub-par styling skills AND in her lack of responsiveness to customers. As for my husband, while his hair will grow back, he will never return to Great Clips - his trust in this establishment has been destroyed, as has mine - and we will be sharing this bad experience with our neighbors, and anyone else who asks where he got such a wretched haircut! read more

Terrible hair cut. Had to fix most of it at home. Hairstylist (Monica) was rude and i got the feeling that i was a burden to her. She never asked if the length was ok i had to tell her to cut it shorter. She never asked about my sideburns, she never asked about the back of my neck. she never even showed me the back of my head after the cut. Definitely avoid these clippers if you can, there are way better places to go. I'm pretty sure the stylist was either ill-trained or doesnt care about her job. She didn't look like she cared. read more

Poor quality, long wait, checked and showed up a little early, 5 min according to the app, got skipped twice ended up waiting 30 min

Been coming here for years super disappointed today. 4 people waiting and 3 stylists and one decides to go to lunch at 11:45 even though customers waiting, leaving 2 with one doing long hair and style. I signed in online now waiting for 30 minutes after getting here (way past online check-in estimates). read more

Extremely rude! We took our 2 year old toddler and have never felt so uncomfortable. My wife apologized up front that my son might cry, but he usually will calm down after a min. The stylist rolled her eyes and made it very known that she did not want to cut his hair. At that point all she had to say was that she felt uncomfortable cutting a toddler's hair and we would have waited for a more patient stylist. But instead, she said "he's going to have sit still, or I won't do this". I get that a toddlers isn't the most ideal client, but to be rude and roll your eyes is not how to handle it. I will never go back Great Clips again! read more

Extremely rude and trashy. I heard the manager Lisa yelling at her kids through the phone. I had an interview with this location, Lisa it was late and smells like cigarettes during the interview. She told me to come back the next day for a technical, she said she got in at 1 o'clock and asked that I be there around that time. So I was there at 1:02 to not bombard her as she first arrived and instead she considered me late and asked that I come back Monday. read more

Well I had a bad experience at this location before. Decided to try it again. Took my wife in for a haircut checked in online. Once again they checked people in front of us and never acknowledged we were there. I just cancelled my check in and walked out. I'll drive farther from here on out I'll go to the Valencia location. Much friendlier and courteous. Done with Houghton. No business skills whatsoever. read more

My daughter and I went in for a quick trim yesterday and had the horrible experience of having Monica cut our hair. She acted like we had personally done something to wrong her by sitting in her chair. She pulled my hair unnecessarily even though she could tell that it snagged in one area, she poked my daughter in the forehead with her comb, flung hair on my purse and just overall had the absolute WORST attitude of anyone I have ever had to pay for anything. I felt like she wanted to stab me with the scissors and I was so angry when I left the salon it took me quite awhile to calm down. She didn't ask us if we liked our hair and I would have liked to have more cut off but I wanted to escape her grasp more than anything. My other experiences have been much better at this and other locations but honestly this was worse than terrible. Total sadistic b. read more

This place is ok if you want to get a crappy haircut really fast. I have come here several times hoping that at least one of the workers could cut my sons' hair nicely. Unfortunately, after going through about four or five different stylists, I've decided not to come back here. All I wanted was a nice clean looking cut and for my boys to look nice for school. I prefer barbershops for my boys, but as a mom on the go all the time, I don't always have the time. Great clips has somewhat friendly workers, they are fast, and they have affordable prices. Well, I am not wasting my time and money here anymore, because it takes more time to go back and fix it. I even try to look at their work to make sure it looks nice before I pay, but I don't like to be that person that points out every mess up especially if they didn't really fix it the first time. read more

I have been coming here since they opened because it is closer to me than the one over at the Safeway shopping center. They do a good job, but it does depend on which stylist you get. read more

We have been to this location three times now but we will not be returning after today. At check-in, we were not greeted because the women were too distracted by a fellow employee coming in to see them. Once I had checked my two boys in (ages 6 and 4), we proceeded to wait on the stylists as they watched a previous customer do magic tricks. Once it was my four year old's turn, we were never greeted by our stylist. She was rude to my little boy and didn't even bother trying to speak with me. Another stylist worked with my six year old. She was not nearly as rude, but her skills were about as good as my own. If the past two times we stopped in were memorable then I may not let one visit skew my review, but I do believe we will be driving a little further for better service next time. read more

I think that this is a great place to get your haircut! The girls are experienced, friendly and know what they're doing. You would be hard pressed to find a better team of hair stylists. I would have any one of them cut my hair! I love my cut from Lisa! read more

Told the lady I wanted to cut my hair up to my sholders. She cut it up to my chin. I hate my hair and there is nothing I can do about it. I knew it was to short before I left but she said it was because of my curls. I even told my husband. Look at my hair and all my hair on the floor. The lady just rang me up and it looked like she wanted to get me out of there fast. But, once i got home and tryed to style it. Nope, it was so short I couldn't. But like my husband said. What are they going to do if you go back? They cant put your hair back. And, He's right. All I can do is hate looking in the mirror until it grows back in 9 months to a year. read more

Messed up my sons hair tremendously and showed no patience for children. Do not recommend at all.

Told that a 20 percent tip was kind of low. Of course i asked first bc she didnt look to happy. Dont take it out on me if your company doesnt pay you enough. read more

I saw Sandra at Great Clips today. This was in Tucson at Rita Ranch-Nexus branch near Safeway. Absolutely terrible experience! Pulls hair too hard, very bad breath, and offered advice that I need to buy her shampoo. She three times referenced store bought shampoo is the problem with my hair. I've had many others cut my hair at this branch before and at other solons and I have never been treated so poorly. Stay away from Sandra! read more

I have been coming to this Great Clips since 2005. I think Debbie does an awesome job. To ensure she will be there, I have learned to call and find out her schedule. I live over an hour away and have been disappointed when I just showed up. read more

Wow! I am so impressed with this place! I walked in expecting not to get the exact haircut I want, but Maria did a fantastic job! I got my pixie cut here and I was a bit timid to go to Great Clips to have it done to say the least. But Maria was amazing! She did a fantastic job, I couldn't have asked for a better cut. I will definitely be back for my haircut from Maria! Well done. read more

I love this place. All of my kids, my husband and myself get our hair cut here. After a nightmare cut I went here and they evened it out and have maintained while it grows out. The wait can be a pain sometimes but isn't a deal breaker read more
