There is a frowning Asian lady with glasses who was very rude upon arrival. She was frowning the whole time. She never once smiled. On top of that, she was rude to my child. Will not recommend this location. I've had different hair stylists who have worked well with my child with patience and understanding. This hair stylist made it seem like cutting my son's hair was an inconvenience to her because of his autism. This place does haircuts for kids, right? So you should have some kind of understanding and skill to be able to do haircuts for children of all backgrounds, situations, etc. If you have an autistic child, forget this place. They will be rude to your child. Steer away from that frowning lady. read more

I had my haircut with Hinza and she did a wonderful job! She was very detailed and listened to what I wanted. She suggested trimming all my split ends at first but I was nervous to cut so much, so she patiently did only 1 inch. But, she was right and we needed to do more. Walked in for a simple straight trim for my daughter's hair. The hair scissor the lady was using was so dull she was having a hard time cutting my daughter's hair. The ends of my daughter's hair is actually more damaged than when we walked in, and the cut is off and crooked. I actually have to go to a different salon to fix her cut. Please hire better and trained stylist and tools. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Will not come here again. read more

If I could leave a negative review I would. This in regards to the white lady who works on the first chair on the right. We were a walk in and just needed a to trim for my daughters very curly hair. She just got out of school so it needed a brushing because it was a windy day and got tangled. Which normally is not a problem with a nice wet brush brand and some detangler spray. Right off the bat this lady seemed grumpy/inconvenienced. She used a tiny little comb with just water spay to try to brush through very tight curls. Ignoring when my daughter was telling her that she is hurting her and just kept telling her to look straight...lady how about you sit still and look straight while someone is ripping a brush through your hair. Or why not try a new brush? Use some Detangler or conditioning spray? Nope. She kept trying to drag a tiny comb brush through long curls. Also, another parent in the salon commented that she was not using the right brush when I agreed with her aloud and said the way it needs to be done, another stylist offered the correct brush to the lady and the lady just ignored her and got a new comb..which still was not the right brush. After the advice I made as well as the other parent made and the other stylist trying to intervene along with my daughter still saying that she's getting hurt by the lady- I finally said that's enough and told the lady to just stop. She wasn't trying to listen to any advice or try to change up her approach. She clearly doesn't care for her clients comfort even one of a child. She needs a new line of work, or a serious course refresher in dealing with curls & customer service/care. I hope no child with curly hair ever has to deal with this "stylist". read more

I went to Great Clips on Trinity Parkway in Stockton CA this morning to get a hair cut Kristi cup about 2-3 inches off my hair. Usually I am not pleased, but Kristi was so pleasant and did a fabulous job. When I got home I brushed my hair and it looks so nice. 9/25-noonish Vickie. Red flag #1 was made clear upon my name being called up. Vickie said she couldn't see my name well on the screen because she couldn't wear her glasses, her mask makes her glasses fog up she says. Me being the person I am, give her a chance. BIG mistake. Not only was her banter anything other than friendly, she was very condescending and made several remarks in regards to my hair's-I'll admit not the best state, but not as damaged as she insisted it was. I have extremely thick coarse hair with or without bleaching it so I'm sure she was just not at all prepared for that. Seemed like maybe she preferred men's cuts, which is fine but please save me the grief and maybe let a different stylist take me. I tried to strike up many conversations as I've spent the majority of the year at home, I was looking forward to the social outing. As I was talking about my daughters beautiful curls, she insisted right away that she would grow up hating them and there was nothing I could do about it, because it was certain fact to her. I also talked about how unhappy I was with the color of my hair now and she went on to say things like "I don't understand why anybody would want colors like that." When I showed her at what length I was comfortable with she cut me off and said "that was how your hair was before I was just connecting it." This shocked me as I was just trying to let her know I was comfortable with letting her go shorter. I came in with hair length about chest level and asked for a cut above the shoulders. That was it. After she snapped at me off that I was hesitant to request anything else because of how she may treat me or further butcher my hair. I asked if she could thin it out a bit for me, did a small amount underneath and then said she wasn't comfortable to do the rest because of the fact my hair had been bleached previously-understandable because it is common knowledge to not use thinning shears on bleached hair, but the tone of the entire experience is what really set me back. She made it obvious in her body language she was done before she started, maybe she was trying to get one last customer in before lunch because it definitely felt that way. Once again, she asked me if it was okay and I almost asked her to fix it but gave up because I figured if she kept going it couldn't possibly get any better. I am not confrontational in the least, I am easy going and understanding but I will stick up for myself if I feel like I have been done wrong by the services I have paid for. I don't want a refund, because after all I did use a coupon so I guess I really did pay for what I got, a $15 hair cut indeed. She rushed through the entire cut and made me feel extremely sad and defeated-really great for someone who has been dealing with depression. I handed her over a $20 and said to keep the change because I knew if I stayed a minute longer I'd cry. I haven't gotten a cut or a trim in 2 years, understandable maybe it's too much to ask of for Great Clips, just wanted to do something nice for myself and left to go home and cry about it for an entire weekend. Call me a "Karen" for my honest review but this experience was really disappointing. read more

I have overall good experiences here. Some better than others at doing fades but I like that they have an online check in it makes it more convenient. Prices are decent. They have went up to $22 a haircut but so has everything else with inflation. Pretty pricey but not as pricey as some barbers. Although not as cheap as some $13-$15 small barber shops you can still find in Stockton. read more

Terrible customer service. The sign on the door states that masks are strongly encouraged. Went in right at opening and two female staff were there. Both ignored me originally when I asked if they wore masks. I had my clearly 2-year-old unvaccinated son in my arms.
