For once I thought I would take the risk with my son's hair. I'm very lenient with how cuts are done for him since he is only 2. I told the lady I wanted a fade with nothing cut on the top. She did a terrible job, the "line" up that I didn't ask for was not clean, you could tell where she placed the blade & it looked entirely different on both sides. I would rate zero stars if i could.. I'll start by saying I was fed up with cheap shops with no reputation, and that's what brought me here. I figured I spend a little more and get a quality cut so I can feel confident in my job interview in a couple of days. I did not catch the name of the lady who initially cut my hair, but she absolutely had no idea what I was asking for or what she was doing, I even showed her pictures. She instead clips open her style book on a page showing haircuts that are nothing like what I asked for. Several times, I had to tell her she was not doing what I requested, and she never got it right. The manager actually had to step in and try her best to repair the damage that was already done. It just wasn't possible. The manager was apologetic and was not happy about it at all either, and even tho I appreciate that it does not fix this terrible haircut. To be clear, this is the worst cut I've ever had. The lines are not straight or even anywhere. It was faded up way higher on one side and cut too short opposite of that. The back was faded up way too high as well. I just wanted a fade with a decent side comb. It shouldn't be a difficult gaircut for a certified barber. I was also shocked that the original barber went to the register to charge me for the haircut. The manager let her know that the cut was free and also wrote me out a coupon to come back for a free cut. I really appreciate that, but the situation is too awkward now, and I really doubt I'll be back. I tried to pay extra for a nicer cut and ended up with the worst head of hair I've ever had. Now I'm dreading my interview and having to try to be taken seriously with this haircut. I'm considering just buzzing it all off, and it has me furious. After I got home I tried to style it. There isn't anything I can do to make it look even halfway decent. Now I'm afraid it's ultimately going to cost me a job. I get anxiety in uncomfortable situations, and this is the most uncomfortable I've felt in a long time. Went in on New Year's Eve. Both stylist didn't know how to go about giving me a fade or my sons. They explained they aren't barbers yet they still wanted to cut my hair stating " they'll do their best " ? Once the female stylist was finished with me I was not all that satisfied. This is my regular haircut place. I don't need anything fancy (TBH, I've had the same hairstyle since high school) so this Great Clips works for me. This location is in between a Peets and the Habit, so the little strip mall is super busy during lunch time (especially on the weekends). The parking lot isn't very big, so you might have to park on the street. I usually come in when they open at 9 AM during the week, to avoid the crowds in the lot and in store. The staff here are friendly and talkative (though not always first thing in the morning!). I give them my phone number, and my hair cut style comes up on the computer. Super easy for all parties involved. No frills, but no hassles, either. I also definitely recommend using their phone app to put your name on the list, especially if you come in on the weekends. This was my second visit to this location. I should've learned my lesson from the first visit. 1. Kerol was my "stylist". There were 3 other stylists who sat around on their phones halfway through and Kerol mentioned multiples times "oh you guys aren't even doing anything" and she had one of the other stylists help her with my cut towards the end. I think she felt left out and unmotivated to finish so she did a not so good job. Immediately after paying for my cut, she went to the break room. 2. I came in with hair that went past my hips. Requested for my cut to hit 2 inches under my shoulders, with pieces that framed my face, layers, and a V cut. 3. She brought me to the bowl to wet my hair, towel dried it a little bit, and started cutting. I received a cut that was a little past my shoulders, with pieces that framed my face, choppy and uneven layers, and it was straight across - no V. Super disappointed because I sat in that chair for an hour and even showed her pictures of what I wanted. 4. Check your mail and bring in a coupon for a $10.99 cut. The original price of $16 isn't worth walking out upset with the way your hair turned out. read more

She was mind, professional and did a great job getting my son to keep still while she cut his hair. I downloaded a coupon for $2 off for his haircut while he was getting his hair cut. Don't have Kenny (woman) cut your hair. She didn't look at my reference photo. She just went by the fact I said thinner. She trimmed my hair to be even then got sections to do a random cut with the thinning shears. No rhyme or reason. She asked if it was thin enough. No, your random chopping along the length of the hair sections is just that. Random. Then we agreed to shorten the length to alleviate my issue that hair is too thick and creating heat rashes on the neck. What does she do? We agree on the amount to cut. She cuts it the length bluntly. Again she puts in the least amount of effort and claims my layers are still there. Are they? How is that after all these months of growth? She gave me a mirror to show me something I don't see. My hair is a random blob with overgrown bangs when I go in. As I leave it's two inches shorter and a blob and with the same wild bangs. Hate it! I declined all her offers from there to do more. Why? Stupid is continuously hoping for a different outcome. She did not put much effort in from the start, why would she suddenly put in any effort to create any sort of style or shape now. She's the worst. So unhappy with my experience here. I took my son in for a last minute haircut and the stylist we had was definitely not kid friendly. I get that some people don't love kids, but don't act annoyed with mine in a place where I'm spending money. Each stylist I've gone to has a preference of either mom standing there or go sit I got this. She didn't make hers known so I sat, very close by. When I could tell she was getting annoyed with my son I came over and stood by them. I encouraged my son and said he was doing great, the stylist muttered yea now that moms here. Came here twice...here is the story. 1. I was curious so I tried them. The african lady seems nice, I told her how to cut my hair, which areas needed to be trimmed and cut, I specifically told her that the back of my hair is crucial. She did cut my hair but not 100% satisfied, I told her to cut more on both side and the back, she did but again, didnt quite got the hair cut right, more like 50% satisfied. I left it at that, gave her tip and left. I was not satisfied, so i told myself I will not go back. after about 5 months, desperation kicks in and I told myself, I will try them again.... 2. This time, I asked the lady if they have a pictures of "haircut styles". she said we have and gave me the book of haircut styles. It was a chinese man who cut my hair this time around and specifically ask him.....and showing the picture to him, "this is the kind of hair cut" i want for my hair. He looked at it and he said, "ok! have a seat'". Five minutes into cutting my hair, I knew he wasnt doing it right and or dont know how to cut it. i told him to stop and asked for the "book of haircut styles" and I showed him the exact same pic I showed him before, he seemed puzzled, tried to cut it again according to the pics and my specifications but he still didnt get the hair cut I wanted. Wow! Talk about a deal! I got a great haircut for them for only $8.99 as part of the grand opening special, and I have NO complaints. Super fast, I was in and out in no time at all. They even have an app/online "early check in" so you can get you name put on the list for a cut before you even get there, AND it tells you the estimated wait time. They even do bang trims for $7 - something that I need constantly, and my regular stylist over charges me for. This is definitely my new hair place!
