The cut lacks the balance and blending I was hoping for, particularly in the back, and it has been challenging to style since the appointment. They both clearly know what they're doing and take pride in their work. The barber at the station closest to the door is especially excellent. She is very detailed, careful, and takes her time to make sure the haircut comes out right. The finishing touches are also a big plus: hot shave, eyebrow trim, and even a quick shoulder massage at the end. The place is small and nothing fancy, which I actually prefer. It's straightforward, comfortable, and easy to deal with. I also appreciate that I don't have to download an app just to make an appointment. The only thing to know is that they only take cash, so come prepared. Other than that, this place offers excellent service and very good value for the money. Highly recommend.

Finding someone who REALLY understands blonde hair is a BIG deal, so I feel like I need to put this…read morereview out into the world for my fellow blondes. Susie at Picasso's Color Studio is officially MY blonde girl!!! A while back, I attempted to do my own blonde hair, and let's just say... my hair and I were NOT on speaking terms. It was brassy, way too bright and had absolutely zero dimension. Susie completely transformed it on my first visit, and I just went back about eight weeks later and somehow she made it even more gorggg. My blonde is bright and dimensional without looking like I attacked my hair with a bottle of yellow highlighter. Basically... she GETS IT. Susie is also genuinely the sweetest and such a fun person to be around. I got a blowout with curls this time too, and I walked out feeling like I had somewhere important to be, even though I probably just went home and admired my hair. LOL. And Picasso's Color Studio itself is such a vibe. It's HUGE, the color area has the cutest little bar setup, and the shampoo room deserves its own Yelp paragraph. It's dark, relaxing, and they have this calming music playing that makes getting your hair washed feel like a mini spa treatment. Soooo relaxing. AND THEY HAVE FALL DECORATIONS RIGHT NOW!!! Okay, this may or may not have been one of my favorite parts because I LOVE fall. Like... a little too much. Put out some pumpkins, make everything cozy and autumny, and suddenly I'm like YESSSS, I love it here. I will absolutely judge a business favorably for appropriate seasonal decorating. Just saying. Everyone there is so nice and fun to talk to, but Susie is definitely my girl. I'm sure she's amazing at everything, but if you're blonde and you've been searching for someone who REALLY knows how to create beautiful blonde hair with dimension, go see Susie. I finally found my blonde specialist and my brassiness has officially been evicted. BYEEE.

I have been waiting for her Yelp page to go up so I can give a review, hopefully this will show you…read morewhy you need to get your haircuts here! Stephanie, the owner, has been my barber for going on 5 years now. In those 5 years she moved locations about twice until she opened up this salon, The Blushing Dahlia. Every time, I have followed her for several reasons, here are just a few... 1) Great service - She has a spunky personality and always greets with a smile and friendly hello. She really tries to make sure you feel at home and you're not just 'getting a haircut.' The salon itself is a little small, but thats was makes it so nice. Its feels more like a home! It's clean, the couches are comfortable, and there are TVs available for your viewing pleasure (Netflix, Hulu, etc). She really goes above and beyond to make sure its enjoyable. Even if you show up a little early, she will make sure to acknowledge you, so you don't ever feel that 'do they know I'm here?" awkwardness we have all probably experienced. 2) Knowledge - She has been cutting hair for quite some time now and is very knowledgable in her field. She knows what hair styles compliment your face geometry and overall style. I'm not kidding when I say I asked her what hair cut would look best on me the first time I went to her - she quickly had a solution for me. Since then, I've been getting variations of the same cut. Curious about which products to use on your hair type? Ask! She uses and sells only the best quality hair products/tools that she knows work well, work safely, and that she trusts. Even if you don't care for anything fancy or expensive, she'll recommend something in your budget. She doesn't ever aggresively push products on you like some other places do... 3) Flexibility - I'm a fairly busy person and she has been incredibly flexible in making sure she can squeeze in my haircut every two weeks. If I have to miss one and reschedule she is understanding, but always transparent if she can't fit me in during my desired time. She takes her time to ask you when you are free and doesn't mind taking an extra minute or two to make sure you get an appointment that works for you, several if need be. Her appointment system also notifies you two days before if you have a haircut so you can confirm/reschedule your appointment if necessary. Overall, I've been very satisfied with Stephanie's haircuts. I know she has many other long time, satisfied customers and it's not surprising why. I can't speak on behalf of her other services (hair color, etc), but I'm sure they are just as top notch as her men's haircuts.

So, after i finished shopping a stopped at Mastercuts and i had a haircut by this guy (an African American with yellow hair). He almost burnt my scalp with hot water when he washed it, and he used his long nail to wash my head and he scratched my scalp. And at the end he gave me the worst haircut i have ever had. We were in the mall the night before and I was able to get an appointment for the next morning, which was nice. The stylist, Breyanne, was very friendly and made my appointment for first thing in the morning. When I arrived the next morning, she was ready for me and we started on time. This was also a plus for me. I will be honest, I have a lot of hair and my hair WAS long. So I did not have expectations of getting out quickly or on a budget. Six hours did seem a bit excessive, but again... this wasn't my first time getting my hair done. Where this experience started to go wrong for me was with the overall professionalism of the staff. My stylist herself was ok. She was polite and professional the whole time. The other stylists were not. To me they were fine, however, they almost seemed bothered by other customers. The place was not super clean and it's so DATED. Wallpaper peeling, old dated photos. Come one MasterCuts, give it an update! Back to the overall experience... I think she probably cut close to 10-12" off. I expressed how I wanted to keep my length numerous times. She lobbed off 6 inches to start which I was ok with because i needed a trim. But when She got into layering, she took off more than I wanted. I showed her pictures of the color I wanted, it's a lot more yellow that I would like. But it is slowly growing on me. My main problem is the length.. (I know it will grow back) I hesitated writing this. I wanted to sit on it for a few days and decide if I still felt this way after some time had passed. I'm really not thrilled with my hair. I like her overall as a person, and the color looks nice, it's just not my first choice. My fault... should have expected it from the previous reviews
