I needed a quick color and my usual place couldn't take me, so I thought I'd give them a shot considering they were giving a discount on all over color. From the moment I walked in I knew it was a mistake, they handed me a paper to sign and when I asked more about it they were like "oh it's what happens when you work with chemicals" just very unprofessional. When I went to pay I found out that I had been giving a speciality color without my knowledge, so it was $30 more and I would not be eligible for the discount because of this level of dye. When I brought this to the attention of the manager it was all brushed off. I'll obviously never be returning.

I have lived all over the place and have had to find stylists while living abroad, in Texas, in a couple of spots in CA and now in PA. I hate finding a new stylist because you never know what you'll REALLY get. I read a great review about Nina before deciding to give Pure a shot and I am so glad I did. She got my length on point and helped me decide how the cut would work into some of the vintage hair styles I am wanting to try out. I will be back to Nina for color once I am ready for a refresh. The beginning was exceptionally positive as the receptionist, with palpable sincerity, welcomed me with a smile and invited me to sit in the waiting area (her non-verbal expression was as positive as her verbal communication)! When my hair stylist, Caroline, came to the waiting area, she greeted me with an authentic smile and walked me to her "station". It is significant that Caroline was patient, and not at all troubled, or adversely impacted, by my difficulties ambulating (my difficulties ambulating are a function of serious injuries that I STRUGGLE with as a survivor of a violent assault). Caroline fielded my specific requests for this "haircut" with attending skills that made me feel like I was on "center stage" and asked pertinent clarifying questions! Caroline did this, seemingly, effortlessly. Caroline's "work", and the product of her work, was, once again, above and beyond any hairstylist with whom I have been a client (that includes one of the best in Frankfurt, Germany)! The ending of this experience was consistent (in terms of positivity) with the other aspects of this experience as Caroline walked me to the receptionist. For me, I wanted to try Geno Levi Salon, because it's in a central location - and they seemed to have a ton of stylists - so I knew I wouldn't have to wait several months for an appointment. When I called, I asked for a stylist level II, or II. This was something I didn't do before at other salons - and ended up with $75 haircuts. Lesson Learned! My stylist, Shae, did a phenomenal job. From the moment I walked in to the salon, I was greeted by friendly faces, given great service, and they even gave me a "new customer goody bag" that included some travel sized shampoo and conditioner, along with coupons. The salon was very clean, and everyone was hard at work. I really felt that the atmosphere was very inviting and the stylists really enjoyed being there and got along well.
