I should have walked out when I could tell the girl was having a hard time understanding what I wanted. I brought a picture and she still didn't get it. I ended up with bleach blonde hair, severe breakage, burnt scalp after having bleach on my hair for 2 hours. ouch!! I do have thick hard to handle hair, but I thought someone that was professional and doing hair for over 20 years would have experienced every hair type by this time. When she was done ruining my hair she tried drying it. I told her I used a flatter on my hair so she pulls out this tiny little pink flatter that I knew would never get through my hair. She never got the underneath of my hair dry and she didn't know how to control the kinks and fluffiness of my hair so she kept taking handfuls some kind of hair product to try and tame it. by the time I left my hair was full of goop that felt like glue, my hair looked like boozo the clown.I couldn't wait to get out of there and go home and wash my hair and put some dark streaks in to balance the drastic bleach blonde. The girl that did my hair was as sweet as could be, but that didn't fix my hair. I would like a refund, but doubt they would agree.

Bella offers everything you need - hair, body and nail services - all in one convenient location: Downtown Excelsior. I used to get my eyebrows waxed at Bella (I now try to maintain on my own to save $, but when I do get them waxed, I no longer go to Bella - no particular reason). I've had an awesome massage at Bella... they give you the royal treatment... flip flops, plush white robe, tea and a warm fire place while you wait... when the masseuse leaves the room at the end of the service, she goes into the locker room and turns on the shower for you so it is ready and warm when you get in there. I've also had a pedicure at Bella and loved it. One downfall to Bella is the parking. Being in Downtown Excelsior makes parking sparse from the get-go and it doesn't help that Bella has a very small number of spaces reserved for customers. There is a tiny lot behind the building with room for about 4 or 5 cars - unfortunately, it's a small driveway to get back to the lot and you have no idea if it's full or not. So, if you get back there and it's full, you have to back up, go forward, back up, go forward, etc to turn around and get back out to the street. I got my pedicure in the dead of winter and had to walk a block and a half in flip flops to get to my car because there were no parking spaces nearby when I arrived.

No I'm not tender headed, you RIPPED my hair out. She couldn't cut my hair so she had to get her boss to help me. She was very rough with my hair and normally I'm not tender headed at all and nothing anyone can do to my hair hurts my head. Mind you I have very long hair and all I was asking for was a inch off. The salon itself is nice, light and bright with spa services on the lower level. I had an eyelash lift done there that was disappointing because my lashes are too short, I guess. However, my stylist, Bree, is the draw for me. I've been seeing her a few years now and she does a fantastic job on my short hair. I do miss the scalp and neck massage, the hot wax hand dip and massage before each haircut, but COVID put an end to these high-touch services. C'est la vie.
