I have been going to this place for years and always satisfied. On 07/25/23, I went in and received my first "bad" haircut. The stylist appeared to be very young and inexperienced. She continually jabbed by head with clippers and combs, and just seemed new. When she was just about finished, she had me look in the mirror. For the first time in my adult life, I thought the cut was so bad that I wanted to just finish it and go somewhere else. Another stylist, much older (mid to late 60's) came over. I was told her name was "Torry" but no one would confirm it. She came over, got within inches of my face and said she could "check it out for me." I asked what that meant. She said in an even more condescending tone of voice, "well, I guess that means I can evaluate it. You know - look at it." I told her I didn't understand what looking at it would resolve and asked her to explain it to me in different words, so I could understand. She responded again by saying "she would look at it." My response was, "okay, now that you've looked at it and checked it out, what are we going to do about it?" She flailed up her hands in frustration and walked away mid sentence, while I was talking. At NO POINT did she offer to fix it, resolve the issue, or apologize. Eventually, another stylist came over and made it right. I liked my haircut and in all fairness, they charged me nothing. For the record, I am 57 years old and have never once in my life complained about a haircut; however, when I asked for a high fade, the top of my hair was initially three different lengths when I told the first stylist that I didn't like the results. I tried to remain quiet as to not embarrass anyone. The older lady (Torry) was unprofessional, condescending and rude. What do I want in return? All I ask for is an apology from the lady that was rude to me. Nothing more. I don't want people fired. I don't want people to lose their job. However, I do ask for them to treat me with the respect. Torry should not be in the "people" business. She needs to be in the pissed off old people's home, where she can be angry away from the public. read more

Signed in online this morning , got a text i was next up went in and CHRISTINA was awesome! Was just going to do a bang trim because they were hideous and in my eyes and I was almost going to cut them myself and then I said oh hell no and anyways I have face framing layers and I'm trying to grow my hair out so anyways I ended up getting a full hair trim and she cut my bangs perfectly and did my sides so on point for the face framing and then just took off just enough around The whole hair and very professional and very knowledgeable in the way she was cutting it and she textured my bangs and the sides and I am so happy one of the best haircuts I think I've got in a long long time!!! and a nice happy atmosphere! read more

They had me in and out in a timely manner even without an online check in. The lady who cut my hair had a great personality and did a wonderful job even with limited resources to work with, namely my hair. They were also well staffed, and the place was clean. My only complaint was that they had no Covid protocols in place or enforced despite a sign on the door saying masks were required. Nobody was wearing them including the staff. read more

I have found Great Clips to be kind of hit and miss when it comes to haircuts. Their employee turnover seems to be pretty fast. Sometimes I will receive a stylist who is just on top of their game and does fantastic. Then the next time the person just isn't very experienced or doesn't listen to what I am asking them to do. The one thing I like, but don't like is they keep your preferences in the computer. But at the same time because I get my sides cut so low they are often questioning if that is what I really want. Yes, it is exactly what I want. And if I describe to you exactly how I want my hair done, and what guard or blade size I would like used, and to blend or leave a weight line etc then that is exactly how I want it. I don't want you doing it the way you want with a larger guard size and then saying is that all right? No, it's not all right. If I asked you to use guard size 1, or 2, and the computer told you the same thing on my preferences why would you assume I want you to use a 3 guard/blade and ask if it's OK. Please just listen to what I would like done and do it. That is all I ask... For the price of their cut I don't expect something like a person who charges $35 to $40 for a haircut to do or perform. I like their online check-in system, and that it shows you the wait time. I also like their special they tend to run in November of each year, where you can buy haircuts for $9.99, where I am, and pre-load them onto their cards. read more

I really do not understand why there is 1 chair inside here to wait for your haircut. Kids have a parent. There should be 2 chairs available. Especially for those with health issues and disabilities. Me standing here vs. me sitting by my son, how is standing more effective at preventing COVID? Also, the one chair was not disinfected between users. So this one chair is ineffective. read more

Giving 2 stars because these people are over-worked and were probably exhausted by the time they cut my hair, but the quality of the cut was inexcusably terrible. I spent about 30 minutes researching affordable hair cut options and was hesitant to even go after I saw all the bad reviews (not just here but elsewhere too). I don't think I should have to pay $70 for a 1-inch trim, so I gave this Great Clips a shot. I wouldn't recommend. This is all you need to know: -Anya was my stylist -I wanted a trim and a deep conditioner treatment -Red flag 1: This location doesn't offer deep conditioner treatments anymore. Bummed, I opted for a normal shampoo and condition before my trim instead. -Red flag 2: Stylist didn't even know how to BRUSH MY HAIR. Using a wet brush (which is fine, it's what I use myself) she got my hair so tangled and didn't even get all of the tangles out when cutting. A wet brush is supposed to help with tangles, not create more of them. I had to remind her 2 times to start from the bottom, which she didn't do. Again, I could feel tangles in my hair with her comb as she was actually cutting my hair. -Red flag 3: Stylist asked me to "look down" because my hair is so long and was literally about to start cutting my hair without even parting it!!! The top of my head had hair going in all directions after the horrendous brushing job that occurred. I had to ASK her to part my hair.... -Red flag 3: Stylist didn't even trim my whole head or my longer layers I am growing out at the front of my face. I almost asked her to not cut my hair after her brushing job and ignoring where I part my hair. I should have walked out and paid the $5 for the shampoo and condition only. Be warned. read more

Worst Great Clips I have ever been to. I have been going to Great Clips for the past 7 years. I have never such a terrible experience until today. I understand that they have online check in. I did a walk-in, there was two people waiting and that was fine. As is I was waiting there. People starting to come in that did online check in and they kept pushing me to the bottom. Like I said I have been going to Great Clips for 7 years now. At each I have been too if you did a walk in and someone comes in behind you that checked in online. They never pushed you to bottom of the list. As I was waiting there there was a lady with her son that walked in and they told her it will be an hour wait. At that point I just left and I will never go back to that one. The owner reached out to me via google tonight and they have said they will fix the situation so that nevers happen again. 2 things. First off I've had some good experiences here but part of the problem is it's inconsistent between stylists. The main issue is time. I have very little so I use the check in ahead feature. For the second time in a week I've had to leave because I've arrived and sat and waited with 0 wait time showing and SEVERAL employees joking around in the back. Today I patiently waited for about 15 minutes before finally leaving and letting them know this was in fact the second time this has occurred to me in a week. Again not all employees are bad but the person I believe to be the manager had zero concern about losing a customer. Myself and my 2 kinds will no longer be returning to a great clips. read more

My son needed a haircut the other day and while I was visiting my mom we took him up to the Great Clips. Cory cut his hair and did an amazing job considering my son is only 2 and did not take it that well. But the outcome was amazing and he looks so cute. I also decided to get my haircut and Cheyenne was able to do an amazing A-frame cut on me! I absolutely love it and know I will be able to rock it at the wedding!! read more

I've received too many bad haircuts here. I will not be returning to this location ever again. I've given them many chances but its way too hit or miss with their stylists who don't really seem to have a sense for good style in the first place. It always seems like they hire from the bottom of the barrel when it comes to stylists at this location. read more
