Trena did a nice job on my hair. Trena was recommended by a friend, so I decided to try Great Clips for the first time. Apparently it was Trena's last day working before vacation, so she was really busy. My friend told me that it was her birthday, so I brought chocolates as a nice gesture. Once there, she called me when she was ready for me, and I walked over to her at the register. I handed the chocolates to her & she gave me a quick thank you, then threw them in a drawer and immediately began talking to a guy sitting in the waiting area who was giving her a flirty pouty face (& conversation) for being too busy to cut his hair within the hour. She continued to give him her attention until it was almost uncomfortable for me to be standing next to her. She finally took me to the back to have my hair washed. Once we made it back to the chair (at the front, near the waiting area), she started on my hair, but many other people came in & began speaking with her, asking about her availability, etc. One lady even brought a gift & sat it at her station while I was in the chair, & began having an entire conversation with her. We were able to exchange only a few sentences by the end of it all. I was charged $38.00. I saw that women's haircuts are listed as $16.00 online (a Yelp review) so I decided to call to see why the huge price difference. I know that it costs more to wash & blow dry, but wanted to be sure that I understood the charges for $38.00. Well, I actually called the wrong location (on Race Track Rd.) and the lady was shocked that I was charged so much - even got the manager, Regina, on the phone. Once we sorted it out that I had called the wrong location, I called the correct location. The lady who answered the phone broke down the charges like this: Haircut: $14.00 Shampoo: $ 4.00 Style: $20.00 (Blow dry only. Race Track Rd. location charges $15.00) Apparently, if you want to save some money, then go to the Race Track Rd. location where the owner charges $5.00 less for a blow dry. My head is shaved all the way around, except for the top portion of hair, I have short hair, & Trena didn't shave it (I do that myself). If you don't mind salon prices, then go to Trena for a nice cut, just don't expect quality time because she has a lot of fans, friends, and visitors. read more

Great Clips - This cut is exactly what I wanted. It's shaved underneath, all the way around, so can be tricky to work with... - Hair Salons Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Went in there, told them what I want, the guy literally did the complete opposite. Now my hair is ruined for the next month at least. Thanks a lot read more

First time here for a haircut. Like similar places, this place does a fast job. Feels like a vehicle assembly line. Seems like volume and not quality. Wish there was a place nearby that combines quality and taking the time for detail. I can see why there are some many bad ratings here. Will not return. read more

D'von was great with my 8 and 10 year old boys, and their haircuts looked great! He even via coached my 8yo on how to use putty to style his new 'do. It was easy to add their names to the waitlist on the app, and each visit was super quick. We'll definitely be back! read more

Not friendly at all and way overpriced. We were in the area for one week and I brought my elderly mother in for a shampoo and blow dry. That's it. It cost $36! She didn't even get a trim. The blow dry style was so bad that I re-did her hair when we got back to our lodging. read more

Since the new unfriendly and brusk manager, this location is no longer my choice to go to for a haircut. They used to be pretty good - not great - but now it feels very uncomfortable just walking in. Very unwelcoming. I left right away. read more

Yesterday I took my son to Bad Clips, I mean Great Clips, to get a hair cut. My son has battled a lot and after letting it grow out, he finally wanted to shorten it. He went in, and I ran to Publix. I came over to pay, and it looked like he had the same hair cut. I paid, tipped Adlia and left. She was cold with me. When we drove away, my son said, "Dad she was so mean to me. I told her I wanted it shaved on the side and blend to the top, leaving an inch and half on top" when she was cutting his hair he said, "Oh I'm sorry, I must not have been clear, I wanted it shaved on the sides" she clipped a few curls and said, "You have too much hair, if you want it cut the way you want it, you need to pay for two haircuts." When we got home, We called the store. "No manager" was there. So we called Great Clips corporate and still waiting to hear. Will NEVER go back to Great clips 210. Adlia may be one of the unhappiest people I have ever met and she treated our son like an object and not a person. read more

OK I do not know where to start first off. I asked for long hair and they cut it so short I already had long hair to start with and I asked if I could just get the sides, trimmed and what do they do give me the shortest that they can well I still have hair on my head I'm just saying if you left a good review, you probably have a friend that works there . That place is absolute trash instead of great clips horrible clips! read more

My wife and I own a few businesses and if any employee treated a customer like the way we were treated they would be fired immediately. Employee CL1281087 argued with us about correcting our son's haircut. She insisted she charge us twice because she didn't take any responsibility for the horrible haircut. When we asked her to stop with the altitude in front of our children because she represents the company she immediately told our son to get off the chair. Another employee took over and we immediately tipped him $20 for the quick and polite response. I am waiting for a response from the owner and would not recommend this great clips to anyone. The location is 2849 County Rd 210 #106, Jacksonville, FL 32259. Corporate should intervene with this. read more

That was terrible. Hairdresser was rude, didn't even try to understand what to do with my hair. Spent 7 minutes on me and let me go with wet hair. I tried to ask to redo the hair cut, she refused and said that I don't understand anything in what I'm asking. Was so rude when I ask why she doesn't do blow dry. Says I must request it before, so why just don't ask me if I need it?!! Was rude on checking out again. You cannot treat any people like this especially if they pay you for your job. So unhappy with this place. read more

I came in on Sunday morning and asked to have my hair cut in a Bob. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She butchered it. Being an dummy I paid her and tipped minimally. I got to my car and just cried. I drove straight to the great clips on race track road and asked the to fix it! I didn't care what it cost. Luckily they were able to fix it and they were nice enough not to charge me for another great clips mistake! I will never go back to the 210 location! read more

My mother-in-law came home from visiting this location and had an awful experience. She gets a speciality cut and heard someone there did it. She went in to inquire about it and the woman laughed in her face and yelled back if anyone wanted to do this type of cut. A male walked out from the back and had some additional rude remarks. The hairdresser that did the speciality cut has "moved up in the world". Well good for her and getting away from co-workers that seemly hate their life and job. 0 Customer service here. Absolutely the worst haircut I've ever had on my last visit. I don't expect the best from Great Clips but this was just shameful. I ultimately needed to buzz my head on my own with a level 5 guard due to the lopsided fade I was viewing. Just glad I caught it before I went to work looking that way. I will never allow the employee that provided this haircut to cut hair of anybody in my family. read more

Gave benefit of the doubt after first visit, went a second time and will never go back. worst two haircuts of my life.

Life has changed at the Great Clips CR210 people. Some of my favorite stylist have walked away. So I began looking and I found that Donna is now at Great Clips in Ponte Vedra on the A1A. It's the one beside the Starbucks. Great location. Awesome manager... it's Donna! The owner is incredible and they are ready to welcome your business. Don't forget to ask for Donna. She's amazing and will take excellent care of you. So GO TO the GREAT CLIPS at the PONTE VEDRA location. read more

Foul customer service. While I was getting a cut, another stylist was badmouthing her ex-husband, who had brought their son in for a cut. I have 5 children, and we will be no longer patronizing this establishment. It was very uncomfortable for everyone and totally unprofessional. And to top it off, I got a less than stellar hair cut! read more

The guy that cut my sons hair was great- no issues did a great job - a woman cut my daughters hair- mind you- she is 7- she was happy and excited to get her hair washed and cut- the lady seemed annoyed the whole time- she kept threatening if she didn't sit still she's have to cut her hair shorter and shorter. Also I asked if they could wash her hair - cut and she didn't even blow dry it all the way dry. I didn't think she smiled one time... There were tons of young kids coming in and out so I'd you don't want to work w kids - work at an upscale mom place. I am never going back read more

I'm being generous with 2 stars. Judging by the dates when previous reviews were written, seems like a lot has changed at Great Clips CR210. Looks like 2016 was a good year for them with good professionals working there. Fast Forward to now, 2019.... I went in to ask a question. Will not bother with all the details because what I am focused on is ATTITUDE. No, I am NOT a mind reader or an expert on body language, so this is *MY* humble opinion... Each person that was there - a handful - looked miserable. Not a smile to be found... AND, they really did not appreciate my being in there to ask a question. Tell ya what, even if they had had the answer I was looking for, I still would NOT have sat in a chair for a cut. They acted like I did not know what I was talking about. They ALL had long faces. Could they ALL have had a bad day...? Yes, of course, that is possible when you are constantly dealing with the public, on your feet all day, getting low wages, and under pressure to raise your numbers. But - do I still expect a smile, a willingness to serve and a good attitude?? ABSOLUTELY, I do. No matter what industry you are in, you are in a "people business," and professionalism + a good attitude will get you more customers. I could not get out of there fast enough. Dear owner: Attitudes and standards usually trickle down from management. I'm left wondering if working at your salon(s) is as miserable a job as those ladies reflected... What a pity, CR210 is the closest to me. But I will pass and take my business where I will have a better experience. read more

Walked in at 8pm. Place closes at 9pm. Lady said it is not possible to cut your hair today, there is 3 people in front of you (2 of them guys), I'm also a guy. The store is open until 9pm. I asked if I could just wait and see, they said no?! Lol, kicked out of the store an hour before it closes, and they weren't even busy. They had at least two on staff. This place is a joke. I tolerated mediocre hair cuts since it's convenient to get to, but couple that with terrible work ethic, forget it, drive an extra few miles! read more

Went there to get my hair trimmed was hoping to get it blown straight. Off the bat the guy said he didn't do blowouts. Well at this point I just wanted to go ahead and get my hair trimmed. He washed my hair and barely toweled dried it off at all. So it's dripping all over my back while he's trimming it. Then he trims my hairBut doesn't even try to comb it out or anything and thinks he's done and I'm gonna walk out like that. I had to ask him if he would please blow it a little bit so it was not so wet. Just overall bad experience and definitely will not be going back. Came home and saw that my shirt was very wet around the shoulder area because he didn't towel dry my hair at all hardly. Very bad experience. read more

I walked in 2 hours before closing. Only 1 person waiting, plenty of employees. I asked the man that was checking me in if I could have my hair washed and straightened. He rolled his eyes, asked a lady if she would do it. She told him he should do it. He said, "I guess." With attitude. Sorry, but I'll take my business elsewhere. Unprofessional whining is definitely a deal breaker. He needs to find a different job... read more

If you don't have a ton of time to wait, this is not the place for you. Here is an example of my most recent experience. One morning I signed in online then drove up to the store & found out that an experienced stylist couldn't see me for 30 minutes, so I decided to come back later that afternoon when my preferred stylist would be there. I come back later that afternoon and run into an extended wait before I can be seen. One of the stylists was kind enough to tell me to come in when they opened tomorrow morning & that she would get me on the list right away when she gets to the store to open. One would think that you would get a haircut relatively quick this way. I was there 15 minutes before the store opened. There were a couple people standing by the door. The doors open and had about five till opening time, so I got out of my vehicle and went in to the store. When I walked in there was a minimum 30 minute wait even though my name was number one on the sign in list. They say that they don't do reservations but clearly there's something weird going on. This is one of but a few experiences here. There are other places to get your haircut on 210. read more

It's a very busy shop, whoever all the stylist make you feel welcome . I would recommend definitely!

If I could give this place a -8 star review, I would, but Yelp is nicer than I am. The lady assigned to cutting my hair called it "gross", and acted like she did NOT want to be there whatsoever. She had a demeaning attitude toward me. All I wanted to do was cut the ends off my hair since I just bleached it, but she HACKED it off and did not keep it straight, and tried to do it as fast as she could. I paid $20 for a terrible hair cut that took about three minutes. read more

Usually pretty busy, which is a good sign, but they are always quick to get you in and do a great job.

What's the point of checking in ahead of time? Wait an hour, then they just keep taking people out of order. Ridiculous.

I came in yesterday after work and was immediately greeted by three nice ladies who built a profile for me. Hayley was my stylist and was friendly, personable and most of all professional. I walked out in 15 minutes with a nice hair cut and had a comfortable experience. read more

Came from a salon where I pay 40 dollars for my haircut but since my stylist retired it was recommended by a neighbor that I visit great clips. I was very leary of this but decided to give it a go. The wait was about 20 minutes but when it was my turn I got a young blonde girl named April. When she was done with my hair it looked amazing. It was blended and beautiful. It's been 2 weeks and I've gotten several compliments and asked Several times where I get my hair done at. Great job! read more
