As a Buisness owner time is money to me. I have been using Great Clips for 20 years because of the their speed and professionalism. This changed today. I checked in online and went to this location. I was greeted then asked if I checked in online I said yes and then was asked if I had a mask. I nicely said no because Arizona mask mandate was lifted she then responded with " Welp then you need to go find one, while waving bye to me" in front of everyone. I am incredibly taken back by the level of disrespect!!!! A simple we require a mask would have been sufficient. I will never step foot in another Not So Great Clips, nor will my children and I will never recommend them...horrible!!!!!!! read more

I was in recently with my 20 month old son. I can't recall the name of the lady we had the misfortune of getting. My son has had haircuts before, and with a video on my phone, he's always been fine. So I didn't understand why he was screaming and had tears streaming down his face until I saw blood on his ear. She knicked him with the clippers. After she was done, she started the blow dryer which made him cry even harder. I asked her to stop. Then a minute later she starts in again with the dryer. By now I'm furious. I handed her my card while I tried to comfort him. She charged us the full $12 for the cut, which by the way, is the worst cut I've ever seen. Completely uneven. I asked the hairstylist for a trim and showed her exactly how long I wanted my hair. She ended up cutting off an extra 5". It's going to take a YEAR to grow that hair back. Also, I showed her a picture of bangs that I wanted and she said she could do it but it looks nothing like it. I have never hated my hair before but I guess I need to go to an actual salon to see if they can fix it...but I don't think there is enough hair to do anything. read more

I decided to go here after my hair dresser of 10 years was out ill at another salon. I thought it could not be that difficult to simply cut off dead ends. I was ok with cutting 1-2 inches but never expected to get butchered. All it was supposed to be was a simple trim of ends. I'm heart-broken at how my hair looks. It looks like I cut it myself or a child. I should've have gone somewhere else. I thought there was no way a trim could turn out so bad. One side is clearly longer than the other. I usually get my hair cut at BnB hair in goodyear but I needed a haircut done asap and I live down the street from this location so I figured I would give it a try.... This location is not the most attractive location but the staff there was amazing, one lady that cut my hair (don't remember her name) she has been there for 12 years and was quick and was one of the best hair cuts I have gotten in a long time!!! All the ladies there were very friendly and even when it was almost time to close, all the customers that were coming in, were treated as normal. I would definitely come back. Disappointing. Yes, no appointment necessary and if you want a very basic cut, its fine --but if i had put a bowl on my head and cut around it, thats what I would see. They are not stylists and if you have waves, curls, cowlicks or thin hair dont go. read more

went in for my kids haircut this is what she came back with the 2nd time it was "fixed". went back for them to fix it a 3rd time still aweful. i get some hairstylist get out of school go right to great clips but how did she even pass.... The lady that checked me in was nice but the girl that cut my son's hair was not to friendly. I asked her about the coupon and she said she didn't know anything about it I would just have to check online! It clearly states online to ask the local Salon! I then shower her a picture of my son and how we like his hair. she barely glanced at it then proceeded to cut his whole head with clippers! He had so much hair on his face and stuck on his mask he was itching! she would not allow him to go to the bathroom to wash his face off without a mask!! I told her he was not putting a mask full of hair on his face!!! She said again he needs a mask! I don't know if she could understand much English or not! I then told him to stand outside while I paid! Why would you be so rude about it and demand he put it on and not have a Clean mask for him to use!! We will never be back there! read more

So ends a 6 year business relationship. I went to the same Great Clips for 6 years and utilized one hair cutter. I brought her 4 customers over years and was totally satisfied with her work. I went to get my hair cut after the covid scare and was told I wasn't allowed to choose my hair cutter. I wrote the corporation and questioned this policy. I was told it was a franchised store. The owner a Mr. Varga wrote me this, "However, you do not have the right to come into my business, intimidate and threaten my employees. So, from one military veteran to another I would advise you to go someplace else. My employees are fully within their rights to call the police if they feel threatened and I will take the appropriate actions to defend their right to work in a safe non hostile environment." Of course, no such thing occurred. As a retired nurse and drug and alcohol counselor, I feel as if I've been libeled. What do you think? BTW, does anybody know of any good hair cutters in the Goodyear area? read more

This is the only Great Clips that does NOT have a monitor visible to the guest to see where you are in line. Which leads to incidents like I had where I checked in online, and then watched as people who arrived after me kept getting called. The stylist said they also checked in online. My 15 minute quote only became 27 because somebody gave up his turn. Without a visible monitor I had to believe the stylist. Who proceeded to give me a rushed, crappy cut while telling me how the other person was ok waiting, "he's a regular". Awkward situation & bad haircut = Never going to this location again. read more

I took my 2 YEAR old son here mind you just turned two, they refused to cut his hair because he did not have a mask!

If you like checking online only to be skipped by people who show up long after you then go here. But if you check in with say a 10 minute wait time expecting to be serviced as adverised but then wait past 10 minutes AND get skipped by someone who shows up late don't go here. What is the point of checking in if they don't honor the wait times? Bad service read more

Have been going to this location for 9 years. Staff are friendly and do a good job. Sometimes busy but the online check in speeds things up.

Normally get my haircut at the barber or do it myself but was in a rush running errands and stopped in here. I like the online check in app they have. It makes it a lot quicker and more convenient. The lady that cut my hair was pleasant and did a good job. Normally they ever get it right on the sides cause they don't go low enough but she did a good job. Place was clean but for the price they charge now I'd rather pay a couple extra and get the barbershop experience. read more

Choose other locations! I understand it's cheap, but the 2 haircuts my boys got were terrible! By 2 different stylists! One kid's sideburns was shorter than 1 inch than on the other side. When I pointed this out after he came back to me, the stylist just shrugged and rolled her eyes and kept cutting her current victim's hair. So, I went to the other stylist who was still cutting my other kid's hair. She said sorry, leaned over and snipped it. I guess I should have been grateful. My second kid's haircut seemed better, but his hair wasn't blended in well. Edward Scissorhands probably could have done better. The reason I pay for this service is that I can't do it and don't even pretend to, but come on! Will NOT return to this location- find other locations instead. read more

The best great clips in the area. All of the stylists I have had have been great. Going to the same great clips is nice because they keep your hairstyle in the computer. Had my haircut here in July. Although I gave specific instructions, the lady barber, who was a non-stop talker, paid no attention to what I wanted. It took two months to grow my hair back to a reasonable length. I returned this month (Sept.) because the place is near where I live. I was determined not to let the same barber near me. As luck would have it, she wasn't there. There were a few customers waiting their turn, and I was told I would have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes. I wasn't concerned as there were three barbers working. I took a seat and waited my turn. 25 minutes later, a chair came open. As I watched, the lady barber, swept her area, then reassembled all the implements at her work station. Then she casually sauntered to the back of the shop and disappeared through a door to a back room. Ten minutes later, she still had not returned. One of the other lady barbers seemed to be finished cutting her customer's hair, but was involved in telling him a long, complicated story. From what I saw of the attitudes of the employees, I became convinced that the wisest thing to do was to find another barber shop. I won't ever go back to this one. read more

Over the past 4 years I have gone into this location. I have taken my children in as well. I have had great experiences there. They always get us in quickly and do a great job cutting our hair. June 2012 I took my daughter and myself in for a haircut and styling for a wedding. We got so many complaints at the wedding. Taryn did our hair nicely and out of our way.
