My mom and my son been coming here. This is our 2nd time since it is closer to my mom. The staff and vibe here is amazing and very friendly. The service is good. If you see something you don't like, they try to accommodate you that fits you. read more

For almost 15 years Thuy has given me wonderful haircuts. She is also very nice and makes sure to follow the directions that I give her for styling my hair as she cuts it. Carol Epstein read more

They have a total of seven chairs in there, however, only three employees. So you can imagine how bottleneck it becomes in there.. I went in there at 10 AM and they told me I was 12th on the list and it was gonna be two hours. I went to a different great clips with all of their employees working and I was third in line. They told me it was going to be 15 minutes, but I only waited five.. this is the difference between quality service requested and the vibe. The vibe in there was just awful.. this place is not what great clips expires to be. Do not look at the store and condemn all great clips because of it. read more

Awesome, Thuy is the best. She's professional and welcoming. She's been my person for at least 10 years!

I had a really great experience with Maryann at this location! I told her I wanted long layers but since my hair was thin, to make it look full still. She knew exactly what to do! She was caring, funny, and really experienced! Thank you so much! I'll be back again! read more

Service requested: yes. Had more expectations but still okay. Quality: 8/10 Vibe: wait times is 7/10 . Okay vibe. read more

I came here for the first time because I was offered a coupon, which they ultimately did not accept. There is no vibe. If you're not looking for a nice haircut or style and just want them to cut the hair quickly, this place may be for you. read more

I visited this Great Clips location for convenience, despite a long wait that I hoped would be worth it. When it was my turn, I requested a simple trim with a #3 on the sides. Unfortunately, the stylist took the sides too high. For the top, I gave explicit instructions to trim only a quarter inch, but the result still missed the mark. Additionally, the sides were left unclean and the back was uneven. I'd recommend clearer attention to client instructions and a final check for symmetry and cleanliness before finishing the cut. read more

Rick was very helpful and did a great job. Everyone was very nice and the wait wasn't long.

Had a great experience. I was in and out in around 35 mins. Cost for a my hair cut was 27 dollars.

We have been going here for about 7 years now but in search for a new place. Even if you put down your name and it doesn't matter what time of day or what day of week, the wait is TOO LONG. Also, the last three times we went, my husband had to wait 2 hours longer as the person we asked for (we go to her each time) was taking her break. This break was not 30 minutes, more like 45, but besides the point, don't say it's a 35 minute wait from the time you put your name down to a 2 hour wait! It's also not really focused for kids. I am over this place. If anyone has any recommendations, would love to hear about them! read more

Firstly, it all depends on what stylist you get. An adult haircut is $26-doesn't matter if you are M or F-- although I was the only female there which was not a problem--just saying. I had a simple request for a trim (no layers or anything special). They spray you with a water bottle to semi-wet your hair, so most of your hair is left dry. The cut was decent--there were a few clumps of strands that were completely missed, so I just trimmed myself when I got home and noticed them. Would I give it another try..., sure as it was okay and the price super reasonable. read more

Looks like Great Clips can be a hit or miss. Yesterday was a good day at Great Clips for me. I did not catch the name of the guy who cut my hair but he was awesome! It has been 2 years since I had a haircut and my hair was well overdue. I had a lot of split ends and my hair felt very dry. I was greeted immediately and only had to wait 8 minutes since I checked in online. The wait time when I arrived was 30 minutes, so I highly recommend checking in online. The hairstylist who assisted me was kind and very friendly. We chatted about our hobbies and life. It felt like I had a friend cutting my hair. I was very pleased with my haircut!! read more

My son Keanu and I have been coming here for years and the staff always does a great job. Thuy and Z (she has a longer name but we call her Z for short) cut our hair and consistently exceed our expectations. We love coming here and don't plan on going anywhere else for our haircuts. read more

I asked for a bald fade and a little bit off the top, really good I was happy with what I got. The place is decent, very nice people working there read more

The online check in system simply doesn't work when too many people try to cheat the system, especially at this location. There are days where 20+ people are checked in since the morning but not actually there even by early afternoon so the display continuously shows a 2+ hour wait. The issue is that when you check in, go and say you're there, if any of those 20 people trickle in and show up, you keep getting pushed back even if you've been physically there for longer. Can you imagine this happening in any other service? You book your dinner reservation for 7pm because that's when you plan to go, but everyone else booked it for 4pm. Then when you get there at 7, the restaurant says sorry you have to wait 3 more hours because all the people who booked for 4pm just showed up. The haircut itself and the people working were fine. The review solely deals with how terribly the store is managed with their check in system. read more

I got similar experience from great clips at Metro Center in Foster city, I'm 81 years old senior but when I went there , no greetings , woman just pointed the chair to sit , the white paper ribbon she dropped on floor , she picked up and used same on me , didn't bother to ask me how much length I want . started to chop my hair with scissors, didn't even wet it , in five minutes she finished my cut . I complained to a man there , he said next cut will be free which I never got because I lost the receipt. I even called main office , that idiot never sent me free coupon. this is the worse place to go for haircuts. read more

Erica was great first time she styled my hair and it was perfect. Reserve your time online early it fills up quick. We signed up right at 8:00 when they opened and it was a 2 hour wait already so don't wait just sign up get your name on the book and get your haircut you will feel So much better after wards With the shit down my hair needed a good cut and Erica handled it perfectly Everything felt clean and organized I never felt as if I was at risk so mask up sanitize and get your haircut read more

Waited for (15 mins) and three attendants were all "busy" but I was the only one in there. They made me sit there for amusement bc they alone was on her phone, the other sweeping, and the other in the back room. It felt like they had a stand off to do the least work. All the while I sat there which no one else ahead or behind me. The check in thing said I had 0 mins to wait for the whole time. I ended up just leaving. They were probably happy to not have to help me. The older latin lady did a nice job on my hair last time but she wanted to just chill the longest. read more

Another great clips that completely screwed up my hair. And now I jave t9 cut my hair off again. Trash

This poor review reflects on one of the stylist, Jackie, and not everyone. I have been going to great Clips for more than 10 years now, but Started going to Foster City only since the last few months, since this is closer to my place. Overall stylists are welcoming. Jackie did my younger son's haircut, and all along she was rude, and unprofessional. Both my kids were shocked by the way she talked. This was noticed by others as well who apologized . I noticed this behavior the last time around with Jackie, but let it go since I thought it was a one-off, and I am deliberate with my reviews. Not too sure if I want to go to this location anymore. I'm happy to update this review, and upgrade my rating if I see improvements in the future. read more

Poor attitude and training Been using this store number of years no problems Today my recent scheduled appointment didn't go well Our family is immuno compromised and we wear masks when out. Catching COVID would be deadly. Three employees in Store with one customer I asked that my hc person three times and employees refused the simple act of wearing a mask to cut my hair Refused as "they don't have to" To all those in a similar situation. You've been warned read more

I've been able to use Great Clips a hand full of times and each time has been consistent and trusting. They shine because they take notes regarding your last cut, meaning you can get a different stylist and not have to explain what you'd like done. They already know what to do. Good concept with great service. read more

I went to the great clips at Metro Center today and had the worst haircut ever. I have been going there recently and the last haircut I received I was very happy with J. said "5 on the sides and 1/2 inch on top" which I responded "not sure about 1/2 inch and probably need a little more than that". This is the only communication we had. This time I had J cut my hair. J. has cut my hair previously and I was very happy with her and I gave her a very generous tip that day. I reminded her that the last time she cut my hair she had cut over my ears a little high and asked her not to do that. I felt as soon as I said something she had a chip on her shoulder. She proceeded to cut my hair, then started trimming it with the thinning shears and then follow it up with the razor. I have never ever seen anybody cut hair like that in my life. She knew I was very upset and she pulled off my neck tissue and basically threw me out. . She said "you kept saying shorter" which was not true and she never even spoke to me confirming how much she was cutting. I now realize it's not about the location but about the person and while I was previously happy with J. she seems to get upset if you tell her about previous concerns with a haircut. read more

I am happy with my hair stylist, Rick. He gives me a good consistent haircut every time I see him. This location is always busy and very popular. I did try other hair stylists here but unfortunately they were hit and miss. Evwryome is friendly here and accommodating. Unfortunately their prices go up by $2 almost every couple of months. I don't know what it's related to. This salon is conveniently located next to other businesses and Safeway. read more

This place has poor services with low-quality haircuts. It's not a recommended location.

I have been coming to this place to get my sons hair cut for a few years with Zekia and she's always done a great job. This time I changed the stylist, went with Marianne as Zekia was out. Worst decision, not only did she ruin his hair but had the worst attitude. She was rude, didn't want to listen. When I tried to explain what I was asking her to do she refused to finish my sons cut. I am grateful for Mohammed, another stylist, and his kindness in taking over and fixing what little hair was left on his head. Terrible experience. read more

Great care and personal staff very professional and great prices for haircuts. No complaints at all

I like this salon because they are always friendly to the customers and among each other. I like Rick, I like how he cuts my hair. He is always very patient with me even though I am very picky. read more

Mohammad did a fantastic job with the cut and styled my hair very nicely! He was incredibly nice and friendly. 100% recommend

Writing this review in place for my brother. He asked for layering to be done on the top while maintaining length. The barber then proceeded to leave about half an inch of length on top with zero layering being done at all. Terrible experience read more

Do not go here. Hands down the worst haircut experience. They don't listen to your requests and tell you you're wrong when they butcher your hair. You're better off cutting your own hair read more

I've been coming here for 20 years. It's fair and away the best Great Clips in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and very good at what they do. Mohammad and Mary Ann are two of my favorites. Highly recommended! read more

My husband cuts our sons hair better than the lady did today. We wanted the traditional boy cut. Nothing TOO fancy. The lady who cut my sons hair didn't communicate with us ensuring the style will be what we expected. I don't know what the hell she did but now the sides are uneven. The cut took maybe a little over 5mins. It was definitely rushed. She didn't even properly clean/blow dry the hair off his neck/face when finished. I felt she wanted to assist the regular customers who were waiting and beginning to crowd at the front waiting area. The studio needs a bigger waiting area too now that I think of it.. We came here because of their first time coupon that we received by mail. It's our first and last time. My son isn't happy, now my husband has to fix it at home.. wasted $11 that could have been towards tPumps next door! read more
