I asked for a trim. I got a butcher job that took the woman less than 10 minutes. She just hacked at my hair. When I said she was taking too much off, she said it just looked that way because my hair was wet. The cut is uneven with hair tufts over my ear on the left but cut around the ear on the right. The hair on the nape of my neck was chopped off unevenly with a pieces of hair completely untrimmed and trailing down. There are chunks of awkwardly hacked-off hair all over my head. My hair was just butchered in record time. Walked in asking for a trim of less then half an inch, when the stylist decided it was best to take more than 3 inches off. She didn't finish my ears or my neck at all. Looked like an absolute clown leaving the store after being hawked for a tip. Can't express my anger and bitterness clearly enough but wouldn't recommend this to anyone. This review is two-fold... I would give a "negative 3 star" review if I could. I normally wear my hair short... layered (just long enough to use a curling iron on for some body) My last cut was a chop job to say the least... that was May 2nd... uneven lengths all around - plus the stylist [Dorothy] "fixed" my cowlick by cutting it and the surrounding hair to less than 1/2" -- have been wearing a baseball cap since because I can't do anything with it... So here we are at the end of August (nearly 4 months later), have been able to use my 1/2" curling iron for about two weeks now and decide maybe I'll go back to get it evened out... checked in at 2:25P, estimated wait time... 54 minutes... they cancelled at 2:57p because the stylist had three women ahead of me... I was 5 minutes from the shop they called and left a message. read more

I come here pretty often! They do a great job on me but I am s zero all around clip to be honest! So that pretty much means I get my head shaved! The staff Is great here you can check in online and I do recommend using the app to get an appointment! They stay pretty close to the appointment you are given threw the app! Just took my 5 year old son for a haircut. Waited a little after checking but whatever that doesn't bother me. The woman we got (Tina) either was annoyed she had to cut a child's hair, or she's generally rude and unhappy. She was being very gruff and chastising him about moving the whole time. I'm not one of those crazy parents that thinks their kid is precious. I just expect when someone is providing a service that they are at least not rude! He really was being good compared to some kids I've seen hair stylists have to deal with. Maybe she's just that type of person but we certainly won't be back and I definitely don't recommend. read more

In my opinion the measure of worth for a service based business is not in how they perform when things go right, but how they react when things go wrong. The very next business day one of the owners of this Great Clips location personally reached out to me to apologize, as we should not have been turned away with 40 minutes to go. To make it up to us she offered complimentary service to my family. So, last night I took my youngest, 5, to the salon where we met the manager, who also profusely apologized - and as stated, cut my son's hair free of charge. I learned that this morning that the owner had not yet put in the system the free haircuts. That means the manager took it upon herself to provide one. I appreciate that both the management and the ownership took responsibility for and listened to our grievance, and then made it up to us. As for my son's haircut, it looks fantastic and both he and I are quite please with it. read more

To be clear, i'm not the person to write reviews. but when i walked into that store and told the lady who cut my hair to take off 1 inch in the front and 2 inches in the back to shape up she proceeded to basically buzz all my hair off. On top of that she left the remnants completely uneven making me look ridiculous. never coming here again. read more

Booked this salon to do hair for my upcoming wedding and was so excited to work with them! Got a call three weeks before my wedding date from the owner saying she "didn't trust her staff to do a good job and didn't want to take responsibility for the outcomes" so she dropped me. No apologies. No "how can we make this up to you?" Poor business decisions to offer your services then pull out at the last minute. read more

Though I now live in Colorado, every time I visit my mom in Flemington it seems like it is time for a haircut. I had the fortune of having Tiffany cut my hair, and now I do not want anyone else but her touching my bangs! She did a great job with the texturizer scissors and a new hair twist technique she picked up at a class. Now I have to tell my Great Clips salon in Colorado this tip. Easily five stars -- First time here. Tiffany, their manager, cut my hair. It looked fantastic -- Tiffany is an excellent stylist. And Blair cut my wife's hair. It also looked fantastic. If you are looking for something exact I don't recommend going here. If you do prepare to speak up and stand your ground. My mother could've given me the exact same haircut I received for free. I wasted $20 that could have gone towards college. I wanted a shoulder-length angled bob. I received a regular bob. I wanted a distinct angle and did not receive one. Even after explaining I was not given what I wanted I was argued with. My hair is too short to come back and get it redone. Waste of time and money. read more

Mark P It's Xmas Eve, I checked in online at 1:49 pm and it said there was a 5 min wait time at the Flemington Reaville Ave location. I drove to the location and got there at 230pm. My name was no longer on the check in and there was 3 woman in the store, 2 standing at the register and 1 cutting someones hair. She said to me that the store closed at 230. I said I checked in online, she said it's Xmas Eve and that they have family to go to also. I asked if she could cut my hair because it literally takes 3-4 mins and she said everyone says that and besides she already cleaned her station. I asked did you see my name checked in and she said yes but they close at 230. What is the purpose of checking in online if they don't want to work or honor it? The descent thing to do was when they saw someone check in online, give a courtesy call letting them know they were closing at 230 and if they still wanted to come in. I wasted 25 mins driving to this location only to be declined because they didn't want to stay an additional 5 mins. There was another person still getting his hair cut in the chair. I have been a long time customer of this location and would definitely think before going back to such horrible service. This hasn't been the first time something like this has happened at this store I understand it's Xmas Eve and stores close earlier but it would of taken was a 10 second phone call to advise the customer. This is supposed to be common customer service! This store lacks that for sure. I'm sure I will just get a generic response from the owner as everyone else has gotten. To the owner , please save your time with a response to me and put the time into training your employees attitude towards customer service! read more

This place is run awful. The appointment wait times are ridiculous. They sometimes have wait time of 60 minutes cause they don't ever have enough ppl cutting hair. They are consistently understaffed. No one is managing the shop. The wait times are the highest in the area. They do a good job cutting hair but between the lack of staff and the talking amongst each other your waiting along time.
