However when they cut my hair today they didn't ask me whether I wanted my hair rounded or squared in the back and didn't even show me the back of my head. Only when I got home did I realize the terrible job they did. I went back and they give me back my money and the cute red haired girl apologized despite the fact that she does a good job every time. 2 stars for being quick and cheap. But I now know why there are professionals who charge an arm and leg just for a haircut, and why there are people who are willing to pay that much. Basically, you get what you pay for. Went in to get some bangs where I can wear in front or to the side and it wasn't until the next day that I realized the girl cut them very uneven. One side was way more longer than the other. Then my second time I went in for a trim and some layers. I asked for a V shape and it doesn't really look like it. And my layers came out uneven and choppy. Thought the choppiness was because of a fresh cut but it's been about 3 or 4 months and it's still very uneven and choppy. Save your money and splurge! Wow ! I couldn't be any more happy with my experience here. I went here for the first time last week. I checked in and was ready to go. Ella was my hairstylist. This girl seriously deserves a promotion ! No doubt about it. I never ever have my hair cut shorter than shoulder length, but I wanted to try something new. I showed Ella a picture of a long bob hair style that I wanted and OMG my hair turned out EXACTLY how I wanted it to. She really didn't disappoint me at all. She started by taking a few inches off, then did more and more as I told her to go a bit shorter. I really loved how she respected my decision and worked little by little to make sure I am satisfied with my cut. This girl is wonderful. I love her attitude and personality. I went there today around lunch time. I was thinking it's Friday and there shouldn't be anyone there. When I got there 1 person was waiting. I didn't check in online so I put my name in thinking this won't be bad. What happened to the old school way of first come first serve. I understand the online check in but today was ridiculous. I had 5 online check ins come in and get their hair cut. For me sitting there for 40 minutes just I kept getting kicked to the back of the line even though I was waiting in the salon for 40 minutes. I have to give credit where credit is due. This is, by far, the best location in the area. The wait is usually not near as long as other stores. They seem to staff better and have better talent. My son got a freshie for his birthday coming up and the gal that cut him actually knew what she was doing. Best cut he has ever gotten at a great clips. They actually have a receptionist at this location and she was very nice. Everyone speaks and welcomes you as you come in. They also thanked everyone as they left. 02/17/2018: Had received a coupon for a free haircut. I went in to get a trim on my hair. Cut Side 1 inch and top needed a trim. Explained to the stylist Ella what I wanted, she recommended a way my hair would look nicer. I took the advice and was pleased with Ella's work. Take my son there almost 1 a month, friendly staff but this location gets busy quick so I recommend checking in online first.

If I could I would give zero Stars. My son got a hair cut there in March 2019 at the Hamburg, NY, McKinley Parkway Location. They scalped him. I thought it would grow back and was not concerned at first. Well I went to the doctor this past Friday on 6/14/19 and I learned that his hair will NEVER grow back. I went to the location and asked for corporate's number and all they said was they would have their district manager call me. Well It is now Monday and I received no call. I usually go to a barbershop to get my haircuts but missed my appointment this morning and decided that I'll just go to great clips for once since my haircut wasn't too complicated. Boy was that a big mistake. I'll get straight to the point. Do not let the young Hispanic girl with purple lipstick and purple acrylic nails cut your hair. I asked for a trim on top and a 1.5 to 2 fade on the sides. Not only is this the worst fade I have ever gotten, but there are clumps of hairs that she has missed. Since she drenched my hair in water I didn't realize until I got back and dried off. Avoid this great clips at all costs. read more

One lady, older and new (purple hair) messed up my husbands haircut so bad that another stylists noticed and she attempted to fix it, which left it even more butchered, leaving blotches of uneven lengths all over his head. Very inexperienced staff (especially when's its slightly busy). They told me it was a 30 min wait when I checked in ..3 times! (they obviously didn't want my business and seemed flustered). I only waiting cause I was waiting for my sons practice nearby anyways so it was no big deal. After OVER 45 mins. they started calling names of people that came AFTER me , I was looked at by a couple of hairdressers who probably knew id been passed up but didn't say anything. Great place to come get your hair done. The online check in is great; however the estimated wait times are way off. Wait times online are upwards of 50 minutes but you walk in and they take you within 5 minutes. Forget kids' hair salons. These stylists are GREAT with kids. My 3.5 year old son absolutely hates hair cuts and will protest to the extreme. Mayra was so patient and sweet with him. Another hairstylist named Sandra (I think) stepped in when she was free to assist. I think this place is great! Walk ins welcomed. I got a really nice haircut for $13 and was able to purchase a very reasonably priced leave-In conditioner for my hair. I wasn't looking for a major style just a trim to get rid of my split ends and they did a great job. My hair looks great! Will be returning here again. read more

I like this place. Good opening hours and very good prices. Yesterday was the 3rd time in the last years that Ella cut my hair. Went from shoulder length to short (about 2").
