Horrible experience. The woman who cut my hair was so rude. She was super sweet to all the men she gave hair cuts to while I waited, but she couldn't even crack a smile for me. I told her I wanted to trim the damage hair, but was thinking about layers, she shut me up quickly, critiquing my hair and telling me it would look awful. Although she was anything but nice, I asked her what she would suggest to make my hair look fuller, and healthier. She shot me a dirty look and told me to look it up. I have to admit I was a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews, but I needed a haircut and just moved into town so I thought I'd give it a try. When I walked in I was greeted by Brianna and was taken right away. I was impressed that a stylist knew how to cut a man's hair. All I said was how I preferred my hair and she took it from there. Even suggested using a shaver if I wanted it real short on the side, good to know. Being a barber, I am pretty picky about my haircut but I was very satisfied with my visit and will more than likely return. Haircuts are $16 and that's very affordable especially since they give you a $5 off your next visit with the receipt. read more

We are fairly new to the area and I've never been a fan of haircut chains due to the constituency. We came in a couple weeks ago for my sons haircut and we're lucky enough to come across Stevie. She took the time to figure out what my son wanted (who is very picky) She was very friendly,experienced and cut his hair perfect!!! We will be back soon! read more

Contrary to the reviews to this place was actually pretty decent! The place was actually kept really clean and smell really good inside... Maybe because we were there on down time when cleaning with the priority! The lady who cut my son's hair did a thorough job & explained everything to him gave him options and had him in and out in less than 20 minutes. Understand its business and can be kind of hit or hit-or-miss with the experiences of other people however we had a good experience and probably will likely come back! read more

I brought my sons here ages 2 & 4. They did an excellent job. It was a very pleasant experience and the online check in was great!

I stopped by this evening about 15 to 10 minutes before 7pm, as I walk in the young lady in the first stall on the right said hi, welcome and did you check in online, I said I don't check in on line, I am a walk in (mind you on the glass by the door, lettering on the glass "welcomes walk in's". I said I need to get my hair cut and sat down, she came over took my name and said "there is two ahead of you, should be able to see you in a few minutes". I thought okay cool, so technically I checked in around 650pm. The last few visits as soon as you walk in someone shouts at you "did you check in online? not even a greeting like "welcome to Great Clips, how can I help you first?" Shortly after 7pm a male customer walked in and stated that he check in online, they touch the computer and he sits, within 10 to 15 minutes more males customers were arriving all stating they checked in on line, and the girls touched the computer and the males sat down, About 720pm,the customers that were in the chairs or pending when I arrived were all done, so I thought I was next, no they started calling the computer check in people, so I waited. After the third one was called, its now 735pm, I question them on where I am at, and a young woman, (she seems to be the senior of the ship) said all these people already checked in by computer (so they have priority), so I questioned her asking her why are walk ins being penalized for not checking in online (we are walk ins) that I am physically here when I checked in and they were not even in the building. I also reminded her that no one told me that walk ins will be delay in online check ins arrive they will be seen first. she gave me a cold apology, suddenly she said 'well your next", so I got said no and walked out. I came back later about 30 minutes and asked for the name of the store manager and the regional manager, the young lady in the first stall on the right came over and started to write down the information, Now here's the good part, she did not know the store managers last name and asked the senior person and was told Alvarez, Angelica Alvarez, and the regional manager all she knew was "Diana" and the senior did not offer the last name. So I ask her if I call the store will I get the manager, she said yes, so I ask for the telephone number of this store to be written down, the young lady did not know the telephone number to the store she works in, so she ask the senior the store number and the senior said to me directly "we are not allowed to give the telephone numbers of corporate people" (wait a minute the young lady just asked here for the store number) needless to say I said thank you the young lady and I walked out. I cannot rate this service recovery customer service and this store with any stars period. I will be following up with the store manager ASAP. btw I am a license barber since 1985 and I used to teach hair cutting, so I am well aware of the hair business. In addition I have over 400+ staff in my present job and service recovery and customer service is one of my pet peeves. I am forced to hit a star to publish this story Rick Bard read more

One of the things forgotten in the conversion to the internet age is the skill of making connections with your customers, which is sadly ironic. I remember a time when you went to the same barber for years, and the people took the time to know you. This is not at all what you get at great clips. You get over charged and under served. I've been to this location multiple times and have seen the same girls every time, yet not once have they even bothered to call me by my name, besides when looking directly at the pos. I don't understand the low ratings. It's GREAT CLIPS. They have kept some employees for a Long time here but for the most point it's high turn over. For the price it's worth it. But most importantly for me i don't always have time to sit at the local barber shop with no appointments only except walk ins and the owner there is always late. read more

I took my children there for a haircut and the service was terrible. It felt like they just wanted to rush through the cuts so they could get to the next customer- it was busy. My son's hair ended up being uneven and so I had to ask her to fix it as best she could (It was a simple boy's cut- nothing fancy) My daughter had her hair straightened and the lady commented that she didn't like doing kids hair because most kids were so squirmy. Halfway through my daughter's cut, she commented that my daughter's hair would take much longer than she anticipated so she wanted to charge me more. After complaining to her, she didn't charge me, but warned me that next time she would... However, there will be no next time. The woman was just plain rude and I will not be back. read more

Nice small chain salon. Stopped by to get my husband's hair cut before we arrived at our next duty station. There were only two stylists and a 10 customers. I'm not sure if that's typical for Wednesday morning. If so, I would suggest maybe having another stylist come in. My husband had to direct the stylist to make sure it was even. That's a little annoying, otherwise this place was ok. It's convenient with large parking and placed between Starbucks and Stater Brothers (The local grocery store.) read more

This place sucks I never heard of someone waiting for a whole hour for not checking in online. I took my son for a haircut and they only had one guy waiting but yet I was told I had to wait for an hour when asked if it's by appointment she said No! Today is Veterans Day, and Great Clips gives free haircuts on Veterans Day. I've been there before and got cuts of varying quality, but today, for free, I got the best cut I have ever had there. I wish I had asked the lady's name. She was light-skinned Hispanic, taller than average height, a bit overweight with a very pretty face. Her hair had been lightened to a slightly reddish blond. She was very personable and listened to my story about my stupid cat. I wish I knew her name. I'd pick her every time. Great haircut. I wish I had had more change along to give her a decent tip. I was looking for a place to get a cut & I decided I should try this place for the first time. It is nice however the way the girl who cut my hair was not. The minute she saw my hair she made me feel like it "disgusted " her with her face gestures & had a bad attitude. Okay, so I know I said that I wouldn't take my guys back to this Great Clips; however, I figured they'd have new stylists by now. Just my two little ones got their hair cuts today and I was very hopeful that all would work out. Andrew's stylist was fantastic but Alex's stylist (Wanda-been there for 9 years apparently) cut his ear and was very rough with his head. A 9 year stylist would not have cut his ear unless it was on purpose. Before we left the salon, Alex explained what happened and again, I walked out without saying a word. It ate me alive so I went back and asked to speak to her. Before I could say anything, Wanda said, "I dread every time I see your face! You do nothing but complain and throw a fuss!" I said, "lady, I haven't been in here over a year because of this. What are you talking about?" She asked me to bring my son in so she can see if she actually cut his ear and to "catch" my son lying about ever indicating that she was hurting him. I said, "you got it!" Went out, got my son and the manager stood between us and asked if she can take care of me. I said sure and showed her the cut and she heard everything Wanda said so I didn't have reiterate anything. I explained to the manager that I don't know what Wanda was talking about because there has been only one time that I asked Ms. Wanda to go easy on my kids' heads because they all have complained about how rough she was. I was nice about it and even sympathetic to her as a stylist to get such news in hopes that she wouldn't get offended. She NEVER apologized for cutting his ear. Just denied everything and felt the need to make a scene in front of the salon full of customers trying to make me appear to be an unreasonable customer. The manager said she'd call me to discuss what happened later on today and was very apologetic. For that, I feel she values me and my boys as customers. Thank you Griselda. Good luck with Wanda. This Great Clips is horrible. The franchise owner needs to hire more employees but instead tries to do more with less so their pockets are bigger. The average wait time at this location is 35 minutes plus (checking in "on line" does not do you any special favors) and if you decide to wait, you will receive a less than average hair cut. The only good thing about this hair salon is "Great Clips" is a recognizable name, just like Fantastic Sam's. Unfortunately, the franchise owner has realized this and the situation is a complete monopoly. The only other recognizable salon is Fantastic Sam's near Home Depot. There are plenty of barber shops in the city if you don't mind sitting with a bunch of parolees. Save your time and stay away from this place. read more

No no no. Do not get your hair cut here. I went to get a trim. I wanted about 2 inches cut off my hair. I wanted it cut straight across, no layers. Easy right? Not so much. I ended up going to another place to get my hair fixed, I was honestly to scared to go back in and have them fix it. My hair ended up being cut into a weird V shape and was SUPER uneven, I mean very noticeably uneven. The gal that fixed my hair probably had to take another inch off of my hair to get it somewhat even. Total waste of money. Pay a little more and go somewhere else. read more
