One star rating, wish I could give her a "0" Called Hair'em salon because I saw the good ratings (won't ever go by that again), I was looking for a place since I am new to Beaumont. Went with Samantha on 02-13-16 for the very first time and asked for her to match the color I had which she said she could do. Well she must be color blind because she went at least five shades darker, it AWFUL!!!! Mind you, I am a 50 year old woman and now have to run around with this black hair. When I went in I had a nice reddish brown hair color. Well, that is not all, she also cut my hair and it looked like she was pruning a tree. She blow dried it and that was just as bad. She asked if I wanted it flat ironed or curled and at that time I told her never mind, I will just put it up in a ponytail and had to pay $80 for this shit. I had to go all the way Colton to have my old hairdresser re-cut (another $20) and style my hair. Called the shop to ask for the owner( Donna), will be talking to her on Tuesday. My mom and I came in together to get trimmed. Stacey saw us immediately and did a beautiful cut and style on both of us (very different styles, mind you). The price was beyond reasonable. The place is comfortable and the girls are really pleasant. We will definitely be coming back, and this place is 80 miles from where I live so that says a lot! Made an appointment with Laynie to give the boy child a much overdue haircut. The boy child is 14, picky and super grumpy when he doesn't like his hair. Yes he is high maintenance ...no he did not get it from me :) Laynie was friendly and professional and did a great job. No strays, cut exactly how he asked and done in record time. I am so not a 'review' kind of a person, but would not hesitate a bit, to leave a review for them. I have worked with Lainey, Stacey and Sam and can't choose who is better than the other!!! Been going with them for more than 5 yrs and they have always shown quality customer service and I often wonder, if any of these girls even have mood swings. Been going to samantha over the years. it seems like every since she has had a baby things are just not the same. I got the dreaded bad bleach job from her. It was mushy, breaking off, and a horrific bright yellow and orange. When I tried calling her about it she just had a real I dont care im too tired to deal kind of attitude. I had to ask what can I do to fix it? Her reply was "Just leave it alone" WHAT??!!? So yeah... No real solutions offered no money back nothing..I dont know what happened to Sam, She just isn't the same. When you get a bad hair cut or color it can literally take days out of your life where your hiding at home instead of living your life. When I asked her if I should put a deep conditioner on it her response was "Ohh yeah.." Then I said im using this stuff called Ion from the beauty supply..her response "Ohh yeah thats a good brand" I thought for sure she would ask me to come in and get a professional conditioning done by her to make up for what happened. Or she would at least tell me which products work the best that I could go buy to fix this mess and she just simply didn't care. I was the one throwing ideas around about what we should do to fix it while she just remained silent. Honestly its the hair dressers responsibility to speak up and offer solutions to help the client, not the client trying to make decisions about what to do when they haven't gone to beauty school. She just wouldnt say anything. I received a very defensive email from her regarding this and she admitted to having an off day and being super busy the day we talked. She called me back... Why did she call me back if she was too busy to talk about it? Then got really mad I wrote this. Instead of being professional and to try to make things right, she just got an attitude and was very angry. I gave her the option and chance to make things right when I called. It not my fault she royally blew it. Instead when I told her that I had a dr. appointment on monday which is an hour and 30 mins drive for me to come into that town, and I realized they were closed that day.. that was another opportunity for her to say Ill come in on that day to fix this.. Instead she let the client feel burdened to re arrange their life and schedule to work around her. it is so hard to get an appointment with my doctor and I have to make it almost a month in advance. So for me to have to rearrange that was just too much thats when I couldn't take it anymore and broke down in tears. Not Cool when I have been with her for 3 years. read more

I am defiantly satisfied with the results of my visit to Hair 'em. I showed up with a picture of a style I printed from the internet and explained that I wanted my hair to look similar with some minor adjustments. I was not satisfied with the results, so I called and asked if she could look at the picture again and try to mimic the style. They have a great policy of making sure you are satisfied. The stylist was not available the next day so Stacey took on the job and fixed the problem perfectly. I am very grateful to Stacey for fixing the style that I was not pleased with. I got exactly what I asked for. I highly recommend Stacey for the job. She was so sweet and she took her time to give me the look I was looking for. She sent me home with style and confidence. What a pleasure to find this place right next to one of my favorite eating places, the Beaumont Cafe.. Was cheerfully greeted and sat right down to get a haircut. Ashley was a great technician and gave me a near perfect haircut. It seemed to mean a lot to her that I got a good job and that I was happy. Sam has been doing my hair for years, and even though I am a low maintenance type of gal, who probably doesn't take care of my hair the way I should, she always makes me look great! I had the salon do all my bridesmaids' hair for my wedding a couple months ago, and they all looked beautiful! They even got up at the crack of dawn to drive down to Redlands and get us all ready! I have to say that there is no one I trust more when it comes to my hair. Don't be fooled by this small town salon, it has big city skills. This hidden jewel in Beaumont is family run, and you really get treated like its your special day as soon as you walk in. My stylist is Samantha and she always makes sure your happy with your service before you leave and makes it clear that if your not to go back, such as if you get color. I haven't been here in a couple years but I still remember my experiences here. The first time I got my hair done I went to Lainey and she did a great job. I got black with blonde and my blonde came out amazing. The other times I went I went to Stacy. I wanted my hair really bright red and I was very scared but Stacy did an amazing job! My hair was a pretty red velvet color. She even used another color as a base before the actual hair color so it wouldn't fade orange. I have this habit of letting my hair grow SUPER long then one day just drastically deciding to chop it all off. Laynie has helped me do this a few times in the last couple of years. She is amazing! I can usually get an appointment within a few days of my call (since it is always a last minute decision) and she is very professional and friendly. I always bring multiple pictures of what I want in the cut I am doing and she is great about talking through each style with me and helping decide on a final look which is always exactly what I had pictured! She continues to talk and interact through the entire process with you and make you feel welcome. The prices are great and way lower in comparison to other salons. Donna is fabulous with my elderly uncle. She is so knowledgeable and helpful with me and caring for him. He has diabetes so her bi-monthly appointments save us time and trouble driving to the VA for foot checks. She is so patient and kind to him as she explains what she is doing and why she is doing it to his feet.
