Her other client was already sitting in the chairs in the front, waiting to be seen after me. Once she saw me and Cindy walk out to the front, she started to walk up towards the front desk and was kind of just standing there. I was trying to get my phone out of my bag and get to Zelle so I can re-tip Cindy. There was also another either receptionist or hairstylist who was behind the counter or front desk. I wasn't sure what she was doing. All of a sudden I hear Cindy whisper "stop losing weight. " I heard her say that, but I didn't think it was towards me. Then once again about three seconds later, I hear her say it again whispering "stop losing weight. "I then turn to Cindy and I say "are you talking to me? I weigh 150 pounds and I'm 5'4, What do you mean stop losing weight? "At this point her next client was already standing right by us, waiting to be like called back and the other stylist or receptionist not sure who she was was behind the desk also very close to us. So after I asked her if she was talking to me about stop losing Weight Cindy's next client and the stylists were receptionist were like frozen and kind of things got awkward because they heard me confront Cindy about why she said to me to stop losing weight. After I ask Cindy why she would say that to me, Cindy then says "Skinny Minnie." I then am looking her in the eyes at this point and I say back "Skinny Minnie?" I say what does "skinny mini mean?" I then am waiting for a response from her and she says "you look.... good." In a very condescending way as she blinks twice. All four of us, the stylist behind the counter, Cindy's next client, me and Cindy. It seems like time froze because it was so awkward. I don't think Cindy expected me to stick up for myself and to stay out loud and bring to light what she was whispering to me, which to me seemed like such a high school bully move. I felt like she body shamed me and bullied me that day. Then once I stuck up for myself and both girls around us heard me then Cindy tried to double back and act like she was complementing me. How can you compliment someone by telling them to stop losing weight? I'm sorry but whispering to me twice to stop losing weight? And then calling them a skinny mini after I stand my ground and tell her how can I be a skinny mini when I weigh 150 pounds and I'm 54. This happened on September 2 around 12 PM. It could've been maybe 12:05 PM. we did exchange text messages after I was crying in my car from the adrenaline and peer shock of what she had said to me and I was parked right in front of the salon so I'm sure she saw me upset. I told her to never take my kindness for weakness again, and I said I will walk into that salon and let every one of those stylist know what you said to me and let them have an opinion on it. I don't know if she treats other clients like this or if she was just angry she had to fix my hair so she was trying to lose me as a client that day and whisper some mean stuff to me and didn't think that I was gonna stick up for myself. The reason is unknown, but it is uncalled for and no one should be treated that way by their stylist, I will never go back to her. I was nothing but kind to this lady. I have text messages if the manager would like to see them and I put the correct date and time that it happened if you would like to see who was working that day and they can verify what I said was true. She never denied saying those things to me in the text messages. She just had excuses of why she said those things to me in those text messages anyways, I thought I would share my experience because I hope she's not doing this to any other girls. Shame on you Cindy.

On Tuesdays, they offer Senior discounts. They don't accept credit cards so I paid in cash. They are definitely my new go-to salon. I don't use hair color but they do offer it.

I didn't have high expectations going into the salon because every time I've gone to get my hair blonde it has always been an awful color just a lot of orange. I've wanted to be blonde for so long and everywhere I went they wanted to charge me $300 plus and they never bleached all of my hair they would do highlights or some thing I never even asked for. Candace is amazing she got my hair to a blonde I thought wasn't possible because that's what I've been told by numerous hairstylists. I am so happy I found her! It was my first time at this salon I found out about it on a Facebook ad called Lovely Locks by Candace so I was a little nervous, but I booked my appointment and I couldn't be happier! Candace did such a wonderful job! She really spent a lot time on my hair and listened to me and what I wanted. I have a lot of insecurities when it comes to my hair and she gave me her opinion and some options to choose from. She wasn't in a hurry to get me out of there and take the next client and I really appreciate that. I highly recommend Candace! read more

Johanna is the best. Just had my second appointment with her. My first appointment she fixed the color and a bad haircut and I was really happy with it. This appointment she has my hair color great and my haircut perfect. I am so happy. She spends the time to understand how you want your hair. When I agreed to participate as a model, I was never given a contract or given detailed terms…read morebeyond being asked to promote the extensions and follow the suggested weekly promotions. I was told the cost of the hair, that I needed a consultation, and that I would pay a discounted installation fee. While discounted, it was still a significant expense, especially when factoring in my tip, travel, and the paid time off I used from work. I made it clear from the beginning that I live about an hour away without traffic and can take nearly two hours to get home with traffic. I also explained that I work full time and need sufficient notice to have appointments approved. We discussed this and agreed that appointments would be scheduled far enough in advance. All of my appointments through the next six months were scheduled in April 2026. On August 8, I was asked to change my 11:30 appointment to approximately 2:30. Unfortunately, that would not work for me because of my work schedule and the traffic I had previously explained. I was then asked if I could come at 10:30 or 11:00. I said I could try, but again explained that I could not make a last-minute change without approval from work. On August 11, I explained that getting there earlier was not going to be possible. I would have to leave around 10:30 to arrive at approximately 11:30, and I could not get approval for anything earlier. I was then told my appointment would need to be rescheduled. At that point, I was understandably frustrated. I had booked this appointment months in advance, had taken my extensions out to make the appointment quicker, and had a photo shoot that weekend. I was ultimately told that a full-price client had priority and that, as a model, my appointment could not be guaranteed. That full paying clients took priority. I was also told that my contract was being canceled. This was difficult to hear because I am still a paying customer, and I had also been consistently promoting the extensions. Nothing that was communicated to me before agreeing to participate stated that full-price clients would take priority over model appointments. Had I known that, I likely would not have participated because of the distance I travel and the accommodations I have to make with my job. I also want to share some feedback about the extensions. The hair is beautiful, and the color match was excellent. I enjoyed how it looked and felt when it was styled, which is why I am giving three stars instead of one. I experienced several issues during the time I had them. During the first installation, I mentioned that the extensions seemed very close to my hairline and that I often wear my hair in a ponytail. I explained that the extensions around my hairline felt tight and were close to my hairline. (Kind of noticeable but over all pretty good) During the 2nd installation, I noticed more issues. Some of the beads slipped, and I had to adjust and replace some myself. Since I live so far away, I chose to correct them myself rather than make the long trip. The ends also felt tight and caused some redness and irritation. There were gaps where my brush would catch, and the placement did not always work well with how I wear my hair. I work out a lot and wear my hair up often, so communicating how someone actually wears their hair is important when determining placement. Extensions are not necessarily one-size-fits-all, and I believe that should be considered during installation. I experienced a lot of hair loss compared to my normal experience with this method. I understand that some shedding is normal, but this was different from what I have had with other stylists and extension brands. I had to cut my hair to make it look even again. There was also one section where the extensions had been cut in a way that did not blend properly, which meant I could not wear my hair straight without the difference being noticeable. I had planned to provide all of this feedback at my next apt. I was hoping we could make adjustments to the placement and installation and see if the issues could be corrected. My apts was canceled, so I never had that opportunity. I am not sharing this experience to place blame. I have been using hair extensions, including this method, for many years, and I know what has worked well for me in the past. The hair itself was beautiful and matched my color very well. I simply experienced issues that I felt were important to share. For future models, I suggest having a clear written agreement, appointment policies, and whether model apts can be changed to accommodate full-price clients. I did my best to fulfill my part of the arrangement by promoting the extensions and making the apts work around my full-time job and the travel involved. Proof is in the pictures. No threats were made. If the extensions couldn't get installed on my apt day, that would determine next steps for me. This was Not a friendship deal but a business deal.
