Avoid Working with Elliot - Unprofessional, Ineffective, and a Waste of Time If you're looking for a leasing agent who is responsive, communicative, and capable of handling even the most basic leasing discussions, Elliot is not your guy. Our experience with him was an exercise in frustration--his lack of experience, poor communication skills, and inability to provide clear answers made what should have been a straightforward rental process unnecessarily difficult. Non-Responsive & Unreachable - Elliot frequently ignored calls and messages, leaving us in the dark for extended periods. When he did respond, it was often with vague, open-ended statements that failed to address our questions. A simple "I'll let you know" or "I'll check" would be the last we'd hear from him for days. Inconsistent & Unclear Communication - At one point, he informed us that our application was between us and one other party, with a decision expected by Monday. Then suddenly, he shifted the goalposts, stating the owner wanted to wait for our home to close--something that was never mentioned before. When pressed for clarification on this arbitrary contingency, he failed to offer any logical explanation. Lack of Basic Leasing Knowledge - When we proposed standard solutions, such as paying upfront or adding a contingency clause (both common leasing practices), Elliot showed no understanding of how to facilitate these options. Instead, he deferred everything to the owner without offering any real assistance or problem-solving. Unprofessional & Disorganized - Rather than keeping the dialogue structured and transparent, he continuously left discussions open-ended, forcing us to follow up repeatedly just to get basic updates. Even after multiple attempts to clarify key points, he remained evasive, making it impossible to move forward with confidence. Clueless Approach to Showings - Elliot's idea of hosting an open house was laughable--a single 30-minute window, cramming everyone into a small house for a rushed showing. That was it. No flexibility, no additional opportunities, no real effort to make the property accessible to serious applicants. If Elliot is this inefficient at handling a basic lease, imagine how inept he would be at selling your home. Real estate transactions require someone who is sharp, proactive, and capable of guiding clients through the process--not someone who fumbles through even the simplest rental agreement. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I am pretty convinced that some of these reviews are fake, since quite a few of them only have 2-3 reviews on their Yelp page. Moving to a new place is already a stressful process, but when you're dealing with unreliable, unresponsive property managers it adds on and makes this whole experience somewhat traumatizing. Long story short, I applied to one of the properties that they were managing and haven't gotten a denial or acceptance: in fact, I kept calling and tried my best to be proactive about it, but still haven't gotten any valid answers. (Jason and Matthew) stopped taking my calls, kept ignoring my messages, and truly showed me how unprofessional they are. If I didn't meet their "criteria", it would've been nice to get a polite denial, but no, they kept telling me that my application is still getting reviewed. They don't say that "transparency is key" for no reason, their behavior towards me was the definition of uncertainty. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to be in my situation, when you have a few days to move and don't know where you're moving. Luckily, I had a few other options, otherwise I would've have been screwed. Yep, 16 days and not even a denial in my pocket. Please be cautious and avoid, if possible. they won't work with you.. read more

Will and Erina did a great job of helping me find a new home during the great housing shortage of 2021. Will had been reaching out to get me to buy something for probably the previous year or 2 (should have probably listened to him then, but hindsight is 20/20), but it took a months long earthquake retrofit at my apartment during wfh and the kitchen flooding a few too many times for me to finally pull the trigger. They showed me a ton of houses and condos all across the city, and asked a ton of questions to helped me really key in on what I hadn't realized I wanted. Is the master bedroom big enough? Have you spent time in this neighborhood? Are you sure you want to maintain this yard? Wow look at those big cracks there is this important thing called a foundation have you heard of it? No really, a hill can be expensive please call our mutual friend who's literal job is knowing how expensive a hill is? Doesn't this feel too much like an apartment? If this is a bubble are you okay living here for 5-10 years or is it somewhere you can rent it out if you need to? It seems like everything you pick is walking distance to restaurants and parks with outdoor space so maybe we will only look at those now? You said you wanted a fixer but the offers you've had me submit indicate otherwise? Literally all of these will be nicer than your 1970's apartment are you really going to take the first one we look at because it has a washer/dryer? Do you understand that everything will be nicer than your 1970s apartment?! They answered my nonstop texts at all hours of the day, night, and weekend (sorry guys) and made sure that I saw everything available that was suitable and in my budget, as well as advising that some would most likely sell for significantly more than I could afford, but that we could definitely still go see them and bid on them, but just to not fall too in love. Will helped talk me out of a few that I really loved but probably would have regretted, either for the bidding war + giant HOA, or for the probably very expensive and hard maintenance/renovations that as a lifelong "call my landlord for help because I have no idea how to fix anything" would probably be too stressful for me. He also took the time to explain that the market for single family homes in the suburbs and condos in the city were significantly different and to not be confused by the news. Will talked me out of my panic that if I didn't buy immediately, I'd be priced out forever and encouraged me to wait for the right one. By the time I saw "the one," I had no hesitation, other than will someone else bid $200k higher, and waive all contingencies, and offer the sellers their first born child. Luckily, that didn't happen and Will was able to craft me a winning offer without sacrificing my unborn children. Will and Erina explained everything in lots of detail, as well as all the points where I could back out. During the quite long closing due to coordinating with the sellers simultaneously closing on their new home, I continued to check listings (and still do) and didn't (and haven't) found something that I like better that I could afford. I attribute this to all of their questions that really helped me figure out what I wanted. Will also helped me negotiate down and not mess up the timing on my loan approval and interest rate. Once closed, Will constantly checked in with more useful questions. Have you hired movers? Have you started packing? How many boxes did you buy? He brought me some of his leftover moving boxes due to my unsatisfactory answer to the above and insisted I take more of them than I thought I needed since I'd been in my apartment for 8 years (surprise he was right!) Erina helped me set up my new homeowners insurance and even gave me a list of contacts for how to set up the utilities and checked in to remind me to turn them on (maybe she did this in response to how slow I signed the docusigns, but it was super useful, because I wouldn't have had electric without her help!) I had mentioned during the final walk thru that I'd prefer the sellers to take their ring camera with them, and when they didn't, Will dropped by to remove the doorbell as well as drop off some tools that he thought would be useful since I didn't really have any, and explain how a doorbell works! All in all, I had a great home buying experience with Will and Erina and am very satisfied with the home that they found me! Will and Andy helped my husband and I purchase our first home in Long Beach. As a first time home-buyer, I had many questions, and both were very responsive and informative in answering any little niggling question I had. We were looking to buy and sell our home during this crazy real estate Market. We used Redfin to buy our first home in 2014 and we knew we needed someone who would provide us with more guidance especially with this crazy real estate market. Will took the time to listen to us and explain exactly what is going on. He answered all of our questions. Super communicative. All the information and moving pieces can be overwhelming and he helped us stay on track and really helped us anticipate what the next steps were (even when its so easy to get ahead of ourselves) Everyone from his team was great and responsive even the escrow company was amazing. He did his best to get us in every property in a timely manner. He was AMAZING at helping as sell our home ABOVE asking while keeping our wishes of being covid safe (as much as possible). Will is truly hardworking and you can tell he loves what he does.
