My husband, David, and I were married the day before the shelter in place orders in LA county, so we were already preparing for the most difficult home buying process come summer. We had started browsing through listings in our desired areas and compiling a list in June when we soon found out that listings were being taken down in a matter of weeks/days. When we first got our old house a few years ago, I was excited and in cloud 9 about the whole buying process so I wasn't really educated much on what was going on and I let our previous realtor do all the work. It was our first home -- just get it done, here's our check, where do we sign, let's move in. That's all I thought of.
