In a world where more than half trades people either don't show up, show up late, or take your money and don't deliver what they promise.. Erik delivered. He was on time and the product was high quality and inline with his description. We had Great American come out to install some solar screens at our house. Erik said it would take about seven days for the product to be ready and he was spot on with his estimate. He showed up for install on time. Later that day I was able to closer inspect the screens and had a feeling they were the wrong %. I called Erik who said he'd look into it. A few days later I called Erik to follow up, and he said there was a mixup and that he'd have the correct screens in another week. Erik came by to install the correct screens a week later and we couldn't be happier with the final results! WOWWWW!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Erik was about the third company I called to get Solar Screens on the back side of my new house my husband and I recently purchased. With Texas heat index reaching 110-115 on some days, we desperately needed something to keep our house cool and not have the AC working overtime. I called Erik and he came out the next morning and was so thorough with explaining everything to me. I happened to be sick that day and he even filled out my paperwork for me (so nice of him!). He measured all of my windows on the back and gave me a quote and within about 1 week we had our screens on our back side of the house!! They look phenomenal. When he installed all the screens my husband and I happened to be in California so Erik sent me a text with a picture of the completed project! Not sure how many companies would do that for a customer. We appreciated that small gesture! I apparently forgot 1 window on my bedroom (dumb me) and I called Erik up and he came right back out and put my screen on for me. While he was out I had him measure the windows on the front of our house for our Office/Dog Room and within about 3-4 days our screens were on!! I've been wanting to get Solar Screens on our house for awhile now. I called a few people and almost went with someone else UNTIL my husband ask me to get one more quote. So I called Great America Solar Screen, and I'm so glad I did! Erik came out and blew my mind with all the information on different percentages of darkness and how the frame is all aluminum NO plastic in the corners so they won't rot . The other companies did not do that. Took a week for them to make them. They came out on a Saturday and had them up in a hour. A few days later I was looking out my front window and noticed a crack that wasn't there before. I immediately called and they sent a window company out to have it replaced no fuss no hassle. Once I gave him the OK, he showed up that night to measure the windows. Within 6 days the solar screens were installed and they look great! They made the screens elsewhere and the install took no more than 20 mins. We had 2 huge windows, 1 back door and a smaller window taken care of by them. I see that I am not the only person this company has failed to provide customer service too. I requested a quote with Yelp and received a message asking for my home address. Instead of replying to the message I called the company. I figured talking to a person was better than a message. I provided them my address and was told they would try to get me on the schedule for Friday, if they couldn't schedule me they would call me back. I heard no response from them. I called again on Monday this week trying to get someone out to give me a quote. I was told "we are sorry, we value all our customers". Erik then scheduled a time with me to come provide me with an estimate on Tuesday afternoon. Am I surprised they didn't show up.....No. It is unfortunate because I have a large project I needed done. Hands down these guys are an awesome company! Sent out an email to them asking if they serviced my area. Within a few hours Erik emailed me back saying he could be out in my area the next day to give me a quote! Erik showed up on time, was super friendly and courteous. Explained the different screens they had available, which every screen is custom made specifically for your home and gave me a VERY reasonable quote. He informed me that they do have payment plans available but I paid him the full amount upfront in cash (which I got a discount for). Erik came back out 5 days later and installed the screens, they look beautiful, you can tell they take pride in there work! I definitely recommend these guys, they did everything hassle free! We were about to use another company until we saw Great American Solar Screens on Yelp. The reviews that really made us want to call them. Erik picked up the phone and came by the next day to give the quote. He explained it so well about the different shapes/designs and colors of screens. He also brought some samples for us to see. We immediately thought that he will not only deliver a great product but the quality of service & workmanship that really stood out. He came back the next week to install all screens. While installing, he decided to redo 2 screens due to the odd look. He came back with new screens a few days later and they are perfect! I am very happy with this company's services. He was prompt in coming to my home for a consultation and actually started that day. My service was finished the following Saturday. He even through in the solar screens for my back doors for free. I rarely have to run my a/c downstairs where my screens were installed. It actually does what they are supposed to do which is block atleast 80-90 percent of the suns rays from coming in. Which now helps my electric bill. Good job!! I called them to schedule an appointment for an estimate. The person on the phone said that they would be able to come to my house the next day at 4 pm. The next day, I left worked early to make the appointment. No one showed. I received ZERO communication from anyone at the company. I called several times and left a voicemail to ask them to call me back. About an hour after the set arrival time, I called again. The owner answered and had no record of my appointment. He agreed to come over and take window measurements. He said that it would take approximately two weeks to make my screens and that I would receive further email communication and someone would call ahead of time to let me know when they would be available for install. About a week goes by with no communication. One afternoon, someone shows up at my house and says he is here to install my screens. I just happened to be home at the time. I didn't realize it was so difficult to clearly communicate with your customers. I will not be using them again. read more
