Great experience from the start. Scheduling and quoting was with ease and came out to be the lowest. Installation was on schedule and the guys did a great job. Love the new shutters. Paint matches perfectly. Highly recommend.

I am very satisfied with the final outcomes. I had to wait for my shutters a little longer than expected, but it was understandable due to COVID-19 situation. Join was well mannered and Edgar also installed our shutters very professionally. The total cost was in my budget. I like the fact they are from TX, USA not from China. Hooray

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with our shutters. Seriously, I am a bit picky, and even more so when it comes to our very first home we just bought this November. Blinds and Shutters were exactly that - perfect! Our new shutters look great and I am so happy we found them. Also, John took a lot of time to explain all the options and make sure we found the right fit for our house. We had no window treatments whatsoever in our new home and John was kind of enough to take the tone to put temps up all over the house so we could have some privacy - this was a really nice service and was most definitely not expected or required.i will take more photos when I get home:)

I would definitely recommend John and his company! John was helpful, prompt, and honest about what he thought we needed. He was easy to work with, always arrived on time, and easy to get ahold of. Our roller shades look great - even the custom sized one (shown in photo). The installation took no time at all and his team was very respectful of our home during the process (plus, they wore masks!)!

After several months their blinds and shutters are still as good as new. what could be even better then this. The collection and designs on the website is also impressive. Coolest part of this business is that they provide a free pre-sales measurement and assessment . simply irresistible.

If you planning to buy shutters or blinds from Home depot, don't be surprised if you are contacted…read moreby Rockwood Shutters. Home depot works with this Houston based company. I recently got the shutters installed from Home depot. I would give five stars to Rockwood Shutters for their professionalism. Their designers and installers are very informative and patiently answer to all the queries. There was mistake during the measurements, and the shutter frame was cut small. The installer ensured it was reordered and installed back in a week time. The Rockwood staff promptly followed it up. A special thanks to the designer Sarah Bettin and installer Herb. As far as pricing is concerned Home depot gave a very competitive quote. It was better than Costco. Home depot does have a financing available for shutter projects. You can always put them on 24 month interest free finance on a home depot credit card. I would say you wont be disappointed if you are considering home depot for custom shutter installations.

I would strongly recommend AVOIDING Rockwood Shutters and Home Depot for window treatments…read more I spent over $8,600 on window treatments through Home Depot, with Rockwood responsible for installation. What followed was more than six months of installation failures, damage, missed appointments, and repeated promises to fix problems that were never actually resolved. One treatment fell from the wall the morning after installation and damaged my wall. A second later fell from another wall. A Rockwood installer told me the original screws were too short and caused it to pull out of the wall. I have no assurance that the remaining treatments were actually installed properly. Three other treatments had to be removed and replaced, leaving approximately 12 holes/damaged areas around my windows. Rockwood promised in writing to repair the drywall. They never did. They promised to check the remaining treatments to make sure they were securely installed. I never received confirmation that happened. They approved compensation for the damage. I never received it. Then one of the newly replaced treatments failed within about a week and had to be reordered. Another corrective appointment was scheduled--and Rockwood didn't show up. Throughout this process, I kept giving Rockwood opportunities because I kept being told the problems would be corrected. They weren't. Eventually I had two replacement treatments sitting uninstalled in boxes, unrepaired wall damage, and no confidence in the installation. After months of this, I was no longer willing to let Rockwood continue working in my home. This wasn't one mistake. It was a pattern: something would go wrong, I would be promised it would be fixed, and then it either wasn't fixed or another problem followed. Eventually I had to pay someone else to finish and repair an $8,600 project. I would never hire Rockwood Shutters again. UPDATE: After MONTHS of allowing Rockwood to try to fix things and them making it worse every time, I hired a handyman to repair my walls and hang the treatments that have been sitting in my basement. We opened the boxes- they sent the wrong replacement. They have literally messed up at EVERY step. I have emailed asking for the correct treatment to be sent. I will update if they actually do the right thing. Rockwood's response below leaves out important context. I declined to allow them back only after more than six months of repeated corrective attempts and failures. They had 5 appointments in my home - how many times do you let them come back when all they do is make a bigger mess every time? During that time, two treatments fell from my walls, multiple treatments had to be replaced, one replacement failed within about a week, promised wall repairs were not completed, promised compensation was not provided, and Rockwood missed a scheduled corrective appointment. I gave them numerous opportunities to make this right before I finally lost confidence in allowing the same company to continue working in my home. I asked Home Depot, who hired Rockwood for the job, to offer an alternative that was NOT ROCKWOOD.

We looked all over for a company that could install battery-powered screens for our large glass…read moredoors and by luck saw a TMax video on Instagram. I was a little concerned about using a Houston company that would have to make a special trip to Austin to do the installation, so I traveled to Houston to meet with the TMax team to see their products in action and discuss our project. They graciously met with me for over an hour, going over fabrics and colors and weights and advantages and disadvantages of all the options. They gave me samples of the screen and shade materials as well as the metal rails to discuss with my wife. We decided we needed a custom order for the rail color and they matched it to our aluminum French doors perfectly. On the day of the installation, a four-man crew arrived exactly on time, and carried out a near-perfect installation, without damaging anything (as so often happens with contractors). With the drive to and from Austin, it must have made for a long day for the installers, but they were in good spirits and 100% professional throughout the entire installation. We love our new screens/shades as they let us fill the house with fresh air in this cooler weather without inviting insects in, and the shade/screen color is a beautiful match for our house. The motors are so quiet they don't even bother our dog, who usually lets us know how much he hates machine noises. If you're considering adding retractable shades to your home, you can't do better than to hire TMax for the job.
