As a woman, I never feel fully comfortable getting any car service maintenance, but the service I got here was extremely respectful and attentive. I felt respected. Adding updates to my original review from several years ago. 7/11/24: Want to reiterate that these guys TAKE CARE of loyal customers. They have bent over backwards for me several times when i have been in need. Also, from a year ago: Went to these guys for a full synthetic oil change on 5/23/23 -- their price was $30 cheaper than Jiffy Lube! Then, coincidentally, as I was leaving town at 1230 on 5/26 on 74, my steering wheel started shuddering whenever I steered toward the right at high speed. Immediately turned back to Grease Monkey. Alan accompanied me on a test drive all the way from Monkey Junction back onto 74 to troubleshoot, ordered two control arms on the spot, shoehorned me into their schedule and had me back on the road by 4:30PM. Incredible! Nicest, most respectful guys and so relieved to have found a dependable, trustworthy shop. I had no idea they did all sort of mechnica work! read more

Kenny, Alan and team are great. We came from Boston on vacation my Yukon had an issue with a fuel injector. I called the GMC dealership and they were booked solid for 2 or more weeks. I especially am satisfied with the services because they explain in detail of the problem, and will share in their professional opinion of options . I had an issue with a leak in one of my tires. Brought it into Grease Monkey, was greeted promptly and courteously right away. I told them the problem and they said that they would try and patch the leak instead of pushing a new tire on me. They patched the tire, got it done in 20 minutes. Saved me a lot of $$. First time coming in for an oil change. Found out that the last time I had an oil change the company that I used, left a tool under my vehicle because they couldn't get it off the filter. Grease Moneky is AMAZING. Only review you need to read. This is THE best spot in town to get your vehicle serviced. I have not been impressed by other shops in town and decided to give grease monkey a try today for an oil change and tire rotation. I drove 20 minutes from mid wilmington area near UNCW to go here and it's beyond worth it. Staff is friendly, snacks and drinks in lobby, and great service. For reference, I am a 23 year old female and thoroughly enjoyed my experience - so i do reccomend this for your daughters as well as students. There were no stereotypical situations of being taken advantage of, talked down to, or spoken to like I don't know my own car due to being a young woman. Everything was perfectly explained and Kenny is extremely polite and courteous. I have tried NUMEROUS spots in town: precision auto, strickland brothers, jiffy lube, you name it..... Grease Monkey is the only auto shop I will be going to for my cars servicing needs moving foward and I plan on getting my 100K mile transmission fluid change here in a few weeks. The staffs integrity, hospitality, and honest work make this an unbeatable choice among all the auto shops in the area. My wife and I travel full time in a 2021 Ford F150. We've literally had service jobs performed on this pickup from coast to coast and border to border over the last18 months. This is my first try at a Grease Monkey. Historically I use a different national brand, which they've been fine. Kenny, Adam and their crew did fantastic!! They greeted me in the parking lot, took all the info and asked a few questions.....easy peasy. They were very, very helpful with me since I use crutches and have to be careful where I tread. The location was easy to get to and the lobby was clean had drinks, snacks and television. Kenny, the owner apologized that it took a little longer than they like but they were in the process of adding oil change pits at the site. Shoot, these guys were faster than anywhere I've been that had pits....no apology needed. If I lived in the area I would drive 30-45 minutes to use these guys. I highly, highly recommend.
