If I could give them less than one star I would. THESE PEOPLE ARE CON ARTISTS. And there work is half ass. There is literally a LIST of people who have said this place has screwed them. Here are a only a FEW of those things- overcharged customers, done things and charged customers for things even after they have been told no, charge customers for things that haven't even been done, flat out done terrible work (leaves glove box off, don't clean car, doesn't put in the $1.25 filter all the way), etc. May be convenient, but not worth it! read more

I have been using Grease Monkeys all over Denver for some time now. They have used a "Synthetic Blend 0/20" on my car every time. I went in for an oil change this evening and the gentleman told me that the only oil that's allowed for my vehicle is full synthetic. I told him I have been using Grease Monkey for a long time and no one has ever told me that. I asked if they could check the system to make sure I was correct and the young guy told me that they could all get fired for using anything but full synthetic (which of course is more expensive). His manager never once came out and talked to me, the poor young guy just kept having to run back and forth between me and the manager (by the way I was the ONLY car there, so the manager wasn't busy). He probably went back to his manager 4 times or so? The young guy was very polite and professional but I kept asking him why last time they used a blend and he said he didn't know but that they couldn't help me. I told him I would go somewhere else then. I got in my car and looked at my sticker and it said "SB 0/20". When I got home I called the location on 120th and Colorado and asked if "SB 0/20" could be used on my car or would be dangerous for my car and he said it would not be dangerous at all for my car. I asked him what it stood for and he said "synthetic blend 0/20". So either Grease Monkey is putting the wrong oil in my car or the manager at the 136th and Colorado location was trying to take advantage of a female by herself. It would be great if someone could explain to me what I'm misunderstanding or what I'm getting wrong so that I know what oil I should be putting in my car or what is allowed to be put in my car. I use Grease Monkey because they were the least expensive for the Synthetic Blend. The manager should have at least come out and talked to me rather then acting like I didn't know what I was talking about and not caring about my business. I have been going to this store for a long time over 8 years and the other day I took my classic Camaro to this store because I had a bad leak. They offer top off service and they have done the oil changes for some time! Ed the manager acted beyond irritated the kid pulled it in and the older gentleman checked and the bolt on the transmission pan was loose. I returned the following morning at opening and was the first on there. They left the car running for over 5 minutes pulled in a large truck who arrived after me in and started working on it. While Ed the manager was clearly talking about me. I went out as the car was getting hot and turned it off. They still did not move it in. I felt so uncomfortable I asked the kid if the manager had an issue with me. I made the excuse wrong oil and asked to have it pulled around without service. Such rude and intimidating treatment maybe because I was a woman maybe not! Poor poor behavior by the Manager Ed did call regional manager and said i will never use another Grease Monkey again! read more

Just went in for an oil change, they noticed my bad battery and switched it out for me, got my oil changed and a new battery for under $170. They were extremely nice, and told me how nice my van was. Great service and highly recommend coming to this location. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Very pleased read more

My husband and I usually go to a different Grease Monkey but decided to try this one because I could drop it off while I went to urgent care.The person setting up my service blatantly lied to me. He asked me if I wanted to use synthetic oil and I specifically asked if that's what my husband did last time and he said YES! I got home and compared receipts only to find this change cost me double what my husband paid because he in fact did not choose that service. We are a family of five trying to get by on one income right now and did NOT need to be taken advantage of on a day when I'm sick and not on my A-game. read more

Called back and spoke with manager (Ed I believe was his name) and they agreed to replace the dipstick. Went back to location to have them put in the dipstick. Service tech tried for about 5 minutes to install dipstick, couldn't do it so went in and another tech came out and spent about another 5 minutes trying to force it in. She finally got it in and tried to tell me all was good. NOPE!!! asked to check the oil now, she pulled the dipstick out and it showed that it was about a quart low, asked to see the old dipstick for comparison and received a snotty response from the woman and she ranted off. The original tech came out with the old dipstick and seen that the new (very cheap universal) was about an inch shorter than the factory dipstick... Let that sink in! if I would have allowed that dipstick, my engine would have been overfilled by approximately 1-2 quarts of oil, which would have eventually trashed my engine. Put the broken dipstick back in and the tech talked with the manager and they have ordered a factory replacement. I will follow up when we see how that goes. read more

They did a great job changing lights and installing my Hatch struts

Changed oil filter, air filter, vacuumed, checked tire pressure and tread, washed windows, gave a discount on a car wash, installed new wipers, checked my small oil leak, answered all my questions and showed me what they did. Amazing service, hard workers, honest prices. Reminded me that I could come back any time before my next oil change and get any fluids topped off. All for under $100. Oil change with all the above except car wash, air filter, and wiper blades costs $30 something. read more

Just got back from the dealer where I was told that whoever did my last oil change really messed it up. Guess who? Yep, Grease Monkey at 13662 Colorado Blvd. They put in the wrong oil and now my car could end up having engine trouble. I haven't even had it for a year yet. Stay away from this place. read more

Love these guys! My son had an enormous intertube sled that we were unable to pump at the air station at King Soopers, so we headed over to Grease Monkey, and they pumped up his sled for free, saving the day :) So incredibly kind and very much appreciated. I get a car wash and an oil change together. Ed and the crew are great! The monthly car wash deal is awesome.

If it were possible to give these guys zero I would have..... My wife returned very upset last week after she took her car to this facility. We have done oil changes all over Colorado and have never received such unprofessional service. She took her car in for the standard 3K oil change and when she left noticed a crack in her windshield. So she promptly returned and said that they must have damaged it during the oil change. The assistant manager basically told her she was crazy and that it was a rock chip. I guess we will never know how it happened but she asked for the manager's information (ED). They refused to give it and told her to call back the follow week. She left very upset as you can imagine with no resolution and not even a person to speak with about the incident. I called back several days last and was met by the manager ED with a very unapologetic "yeah I already talked with my assistant". He denied any wrong doings of his staff and completely missed the point I was trying to make. I said "I don't care about the windshield" but was upset they made my wife cry. What kind of place does that? He kept saying it wasn't his guys and he has been doing this for 30 years ...who cares...he wasn't even there. At the end of the day it was inconceivable for this man to believe the actions of his staff were in anyway wrong. Well, as a business owner myself I can tell ED this is not customer service or the way you handle these types of situations. He never during our 10 minute conversation even offered any type of resolution, just kept defending his guys. So long story short....if these guys are unprofessional, rude or screw-up anything on your car you can be 100% sure you will have no recourse for your frustrations. However if you're looking for a job where you're not held accountable for your actions ....apply within. read more

I took my car in today with no appointment and the guys got my oil change done quickly even though the shop was very busy. They topped off my fluids and vacuumed my car out also! Service was great, techs were very helpful and nice! I will definitely be back! read more

They try hard to get out of changing oil filter, saying "still looks good". Both me and my wife's car. Prices aren't better than my dealer. They don't have the accurate recommend maintenance for either of our cars. read more

I would not recommend getting your car washed at this location. After paying for the most expensive wash, my car is still dirty. They were gracious enough to offer me another wash code if I came in to claim it, but it's hardly worth the hassle. I'll find another location to wash my car that doesn't require a second trip. read more

Be cautious and make sure you check your oil level before you go here to have it changed. I did and they told me it wasn't even on the dip-stick and I would need an oil flush for an additional $24. I told him I had checked it just before coming in and it was right above the low mark and went out with him to confirm it. He said sorry and we went on with the regular service. While I was in the waiting room he did the exact same thing to two other customers who came in after me. Wow what are the chances of 3 out of 5 customers coming in over the last 30 min all running their cars out of oil...... A bit fishy if you ask me. So make sure you check your oil before stopping in, then raise the B.S. flag when they hit you up to pay for this "oil flush", because if you pay for it your just flushing $$$$! Other than that I have had great service at this grease monkey for the last couple of years. But this was a new employee I had never dealt with before at this location. read more
