My daughter went in for an oil change, Grease Monkey charged her for an extra quart. The next day…read moreshe was complaining her car was blowing white smoke when starting. Googled the issue and top hit was oil overfilled. Checked the oil level and it was 1/3 of the way up the stick or about 5 inches . I took it back and they drained the extra out saying some cars take more even for the same engine which was puzzling. Took home checked the level and it was still 1/5 up the stick or 2 inches. Took it back again and they redid the oil change showing me the level before I left. No more smoking. Fast forward two weeks, my son in law took his Audi A3 for an oil change to the same Grease Monkey in Clinton. I told him to tell them if his car needs more than 5 quarts which is the base price to say we'll add the rest at home. The base price for full synthetic was $89. When they finished and he went to pay they asked for $135. They said they used upgraded oil, filter, and whatever else. Nothing was told to him prior for the upsell. They just did the work. This Grease Monkey has been our go to up to this point. My daughter played soccer with the owner's granddaughter so I'm adding this review in hopes they see this and can make some policy or personnel changes. Until then I'll take my business elsewhere.

I dropped off a tire from my truck to get a puncture repaired. Picked it up the following Saturday. Actually, they put my truck on the lift to reinstall it and put my spare back under the bed. I brought my car in because low tire pressure light was on. When I first walked in a lady greeted…read moreme and she took my keys when I asked her how long away was she stated that she had just gotten back from running to the bank and so she didn't know, but that she would check. I never got an actual time estimate. An hour and a half later I go up to ask how much longer it was going to be. A gentleman went and looked at the queue and came back and said it would be another hour and a half to two hours. I stated that I had already been waiting for an hour and a half. Another gentleman who I am assuming to be the manager stated that he was going to go figure out what was going on and see what he could do. When he came back, he stated that he moved my car to the front of the line so that way it would get started. About a half hour to 45 minutes later technician comes in and tells me that there were two nails in the tire and one of them was in a gray area and was not holding pressure anymore. he stated that they were gonna try again, but that this was not gonna be a permit fix. He gave me a quote on three different types of tires. And stated that I should replace it. He went back and continue trying to fix the tire. He got it fixed. By that point I had been at the tire place for 4 1/2 hours. If I had known the weight was gonna be so long, I would not have stayed. It was a waste of my time. Thank you to the gentleman who moved my car up, but I believe they need to come up with a better system in terms of checking in cars. I feel like if they would've had an electronic system where I could see the progress on the car or even just see how long the estimate was gonna take. I would've been a lot more informed. Overall, it was a bad experience. I contemplated getting my tires through them, but after this experience, I declined and went to a different tire shop. I would not go there at all ever again.
