On day one, Julie kindly gave us a ride from work to the shop and back (such a lifesaver), and when the repair took a little longer than expected, they set us up with a loaner car. My son and I nicknamed it "Babushka Honda" -- that's "G-ma Honda" in Russian -- because it felt like a cozy little time machine straight to the '90s. We had fun with it! When we picked up our car, everything was done perfectly. Fast forward to I cannot find my emissions paper. I called MULTIPLE times to ask if they could reprint it or what I needed to do. Called someone more educated in the subject, and they said it would be on file with the state. Okay, cool! I'll just register my car then! It would not pull up. It was like I never had any emissions done. A week or so goes by, and I finally get ahold of a woman at the business. She tells me the test was only good for a week. A week???? When I looked it up online, it told me tests are good generally for a couple months. I'm unsure of the actual validity of this, but if this test was truly only good for a week, I wish they would have informed me so I wasn't out so much money. I got a deal, sure, but I ended up having to pay WAY more to have it done somewhere else. I ended up finding a wonderful shop near me, so I'll stick with this new business. Just disappointed in the whole experience. The lack of communication needs to be addressed, that could have solved problems on everyones end.

He called quite a few different muffler shops and all their quotes were high. Alvarez was the only shop that didn't give a crazy high quote and was willing to get the muffler replaced in a day (no holding the car overnight). When we arrived, there were quite a few cars parked all around the shops, but there were two parking spots open right in front of the shop which was nice. Alvarez wasn't there yet, but there was a kind gentleman there who gave him a call to let him know we were there. When Alvarez arrived, he took a look at the car and said he could get it done in about an hour. When he was done, I was worried he'd give us a higher amount to pay, but he didn't. He kept it extremely affordable and he did a fantastic job! He is such a nice guy and I'd highly recommend him to anyone needing work done on their vehicle!

I took my wife's van in for a simple a/c check-up and a problem with the passenger door. Kept the car for 2 days. Cost over $500 for the a/c which was low on freon. Quite high. They quoted my another $1500 for a/c regulators which I declined. He wanted to charge me $150 to look at the door which I also declined. He stated that the door repair would probably be around $1500 also for a problem with the locking mechanism. Final bill was $668 for freon! He charged an extra $150 for the door that I never authorized. I then bought a part for the door ($18) and found another mechanic who fixed it for only $150. I am warning you... Don't USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

2nd time having issues here now…read more I specifically requested an AC diagnostic and explained upfront that I had already replaced the compressor, had the system charged the day before, and that a full leak/pressure test had already been performed. Instead of moving forward with a true diagnostic, they repeated the exact same service (discharge and recharge) that had just been done, and then charged me $285 for it. In the end, I'm back to square one--still not knowing what's wrong with my AC, but now out the money for a redundant service I did not need. To make it worse, I was told I'd need to pay even more for a diagnostic... which is what I had asked for in the first place. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. Be careful coming here for service and make sure they're clear on what you're requesting, or you may end up paying twice without answers. Always ask for Donny. He is awesome! He wasn't available when this happened.
