Dually owners beware! Brought my dually through the truck wash resulting in scratches down the side. General manager informed me that they would not be fixing the damage. I will not be returning for any type of service. I appreciate the response, but this does nothing to remedy the fact I went in the car wash without scratches and came out with scratches. The one thing I have found from other online reviews is that I'm not the only one being given the tape measure and soft cloth brush defense from y'all. I've been here twice now for an oil change and an inspection. They are very attentive and quick to help you when you drive up. They are super helpful and friendly and don't push you to buy extras or services you don't need. As a woman, that's really nice because I don't always know everything I should about cars or what my car may/may not need. I also really like how fast they are. I always dread getting my car worked on because it always takes FOREVER. At grease monkey they have never taken longer than about thirty minutes, even when they have several customers arrive at the same time. Best part of all is that you get a car wash with your oil change! They just make the chore of getting your car serviced a very pleasurable experience. I will definitely be back!! read more

Found out about this place about a month ago. I live in Capitan, NM and go to Lubbock about once a month. I have a dually truck and most car washes are to small to put the truck through. This place has a car wash that is big enough to handle the dually. I pulled up and was promptly greeted. Not knowing what to do, the gentlemen explained the procedure and directed me to the correct Lane. Duallys are $22. It seemed like it covered everything. Underbody wash, polish etc. after I paid the gate opened and I drove through. There's an immediate sharp, very tight, right turn. Definitely not enough space for a 22 foot long dually truck. Had to partially go up and over the curb. I got up to the entrance and two people were there with brushes washing off the bugs from the grill and windshield. I'm surprised that they didn't take the radio antenna off. When I went through the wash, I surly thought the brushes would break it off. It did survive. After I got through the wash there were 4 people to wipe the truck dry. They did a fairly good job. The polished aluminum rims were not clean and there were a few spots that they missed wiping the truck down. But all in all, it was a pretty good job. I will return. 11/19/17 update. Got truck washed again. One person to great us & prewash the truck & take the antenna off. Went through the wash & one person to wipe the truck off. They really did a great job. I haven't been back for a follow up seeing that I barely had my car serviced this afternoon 5/30/2021 but for the money I spent I would have expected for all of their processes to be buttoned up. My car has leaked oil ALL afternoon from in improperly replaced drain plug. My car has leaked oil in my in-laws drive way as well as all on my garage floor. The undercarriage of my car is completely covered in oil from the improperly replaced drainplug leaking oil all day I plan on following back up with grease monkey Monday morning but even if they resolve all of my issues for the amount of money I spent in the first place, I should have not had to anticipate these issues. They're shade tree mechanics at best. I should have known better and should have used my regular oil service pros at Master Lube on 19th street across from Buffalo Wild Wings. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. read more

I came in on Saturday for an oil change, and today (Thursday) went to get my car inspected (not here, didn't know they did them). Not only was my power steering fluid low, there was a battery cap missing, and a lug nut missing. I realize they don't mess with lugnuts during an oil change, but you would think when checking tire pressure they'd mention it. After my failed inspection I went back to Grease Monkey to ask about the fluid and battery cap, and the manager could not have been more rude. I have worked in customer service my whole life, so of course I started out very polite and with a "mistakes happen" attitude. The manager smacked his gum and and dismissed me. "We don't touch the battery, so I don't know what to tell you".... well, you sure documented that it was "maintenance free". Never even acknowledged that my power steering fluid was low even though my receipt said all fluids were full. Thoroughly disappointed by this place... I wish Bolton's would come back- they understood customer service. read more

This is my new favorite place for oil changes and car washes. The customer service is like no other in Lubbock, probably because one of the owners is usually onsite. The wash lane can fit dually trucks which is awesome! The employees doing the bug wash and drying do a much better job than any other car wash in town. He said they were very friendly & told him he could bring the receipt back for another free car wash within 7 days. First trip here, and not too thrilled. Stopped by because I needed an oil change and a car wash on a Sunday and my normal place was closed. When I walked in I was quickly great and I asked what I needed done. I told him I needed an oil change, 6 quarts synthetic. That should have been the end of our conversation. Instead, the employee tried to sell me a variety of new filters, flushes and other unnecessary services for a truck that is near new. During my time waiting I noticed a count down on the wall that said "guaranteed completion time" once my time hit 0:00, it had 5 more minutes added to it before it went too far into the negative. When it came time to pay out, I asked the employee about the timer, and the word "guarantee" in the sign. He said that once the time hits 0:00, anything after that would be discounted off my total cost. He acted like he had no clue about the timer hitting 0:00 and more time being added. I then went over to the car wash, where right before pulling in, I noticed that one of my doors was not closed all the way. Good thing I caught it, or this review would have had fewer stars. Car wash was good though. I give them 2 stars because of the employee that helped me. There's no need to try and sell products and services that are not asked for. And if you are going to have a guarantee posted on the wall, you better follow it. read more

got a detail on my car... wasn't that great. it was literally what the name says, my car has been grease for a couple of months since and i can not get it off. it is disgusting and i feel that that creates even more of a mess. DO NOT recommend. wish i got my money back for sure. read more

Everyone was nice, but all I needed was an inspection and they made me wait behind 3 other cars that were being serviced. There was plenty of people in the shop one of them could of easily inspected my car in 5 minutes and let me go. Just not very efficient in my opinion. read more

Horrible service. The price listed is way to high. If I want to pay that much for a car wash the I'd like for my car to be actually clean afterwards. One employee was rude, and down right offensive to me. They also took off my antenna during the car wash, and the same offensive employee scratched it up. I did research to find a mechanic with the cheapest oil change and great service. This location was rated highly although I was nervous because there was one bad review from only a few days prior. However, that was really the only bad review I saw and reviews of other auto shops were frightening. So I took the chance and I was not disappointed! The guys were so nice and explained things to me respectfully and not mockingly like some have in the past. Another thing to note is that my skid plate was hanging/ torn. They informed me they would try to get it to stay but ultimately I could get it removed. It ended up falling back down and dragging which I found EXTREMELY annoying. I didn't have time to go back until a few weeks later and they remembered my situation and removed it for free! I would've been happy to pay. Did I mention the free car wash? I have since recommended this place to all my friends and they have made my oil change experience very pleasant. 10/10. read more

All i have to say is price gouging! Go to Boltons better service, quality, and prices. i can buy my air filter at Boltons and even The Ford Dealership for $47.60... Grease Monkey wanted $150 just for the filter!!! Plus $110 for my oil change that is usually $85 at boltons for the same oil and oil filters. Ridiculous! My only guess is they are gouging and ripping people off to pay for the "free" vacuuming and "free" car wash. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money. Go to Boltons for your oil change and get a monthly unlimited wash plan at Racer Classic Car Wash its cheaper and you don't feel like you took a reaming when you left... read more

I gave 3 stars because This visit isn't the usual. I have the monthly wash membership so I go frequently. Today the man at the front did not wash the front of my vehicle as usual he only sprayed it with water no soap. I asked why. He said because it isn't dirty in a very aggressive tone. So if I want to pay for a wash is it required to be "dirty"?? I told him it shouldn't matter. He said to keep my damn mouth shut! WHAT??? I asked for the manager. He said I'm the manager. I asked his name. He said don't worry about it. Excuse me??? As he walked around the back of my car he yelled Bitch! I DO NOT think this type of person should represent your company! He sure wouldn't mine! I spoke to the young man that helped dry my car and said the other guy was not the manager. This man was very nice and said he'd talk to the front man because he was the manager. I think everyone involved with this company should know about this incident. Just returned from having my car washed at the MONKEY SHINE car wash which is a part of the new Grease Monkey facility. GREAT EXPERIENCE. Have used Mighty Wash up until now but those days are over. My car was very, very dirty as a result of some night driving. Bug city to say the least. Got the Total Bananas wash which cost $20. However since I am an old dude I got the $5 off Senior discount. Sweet! Was by far a better wash that what I was getting at Mighty Wash. And they even hand dry the car as part of the package. It's not a $3 additional charge like I had been paying. Met Kris, one of the owners while I was there. In fact both he and Jacob, one of the manger's came out to assist in the drying process of my vehicle. Both gentlemen were very nice and attentive. They both asked for my feedback in regard to how they had done which was great. All in all it was a very good experience and I will be telling my friends about them and will be going back myself. Great place for a car wash. Good value, nice new system that doesn't scratch. I've had my late model Corvette through there and it's great for low profile cars! Oil change, in the other hand, way too expensive. Wife's car (Ford Explorer) for oil, filter, air filter, wiper blades.... $170! Too much.
