From the moment I booked the appointment, the communication was clear, friendly, and everything ran like clockwork. Technician Dane Shepherd arrived right on time with his a friendly smile and a handshake that immediately put me at ease. As a former service electronics technician myself, I truly appreciated watching a pro at work. Dane thoroughly diagnosed my HVAC system - testing the 24VAC to the gas valve, checking ohm resistance on the high-limit switch, flame sensor and inspecting the HSI igniter, measuring air/heat ratios, and verified the in the house heat vents blowing 112F of air. Along with a long list of additional tests. His attention to detail and systematic approach were outstanding. Dane was not only highly skilled but also polite, patient, and happy to explain what he was doing every step of the way. The work was completed perfectly, and my system is running smooth and better. Revival Heating & Cooling has earned me a customer for life. If you want honest, knowledgeable, and top-tier service from a company that truly cares, look no further. I highly recommend them - and ask for Dane if you can!

The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.

The owners of this business have been dismissive, defensive, non-responsive, and not particularly service oriented. Really an unfortunate experience given the amount of money spent on this transaction. Specifically, Revival failed to deliver warranty documents that were required to be provided to me upon the completion of work, as specifically noted in the statement of work. Even though warranty documents were not provided, Revival's owners demanded immediate payment in full. Revival also failed to advise ahead of time about County inspections that needed to be completed after installation. This easily could have been communicated to me up-front but was not, and led to a lot of last-minute scrambling with my tenants when inspectors showed up without notice, or notified us of follow-up visits. Note to Revival owners: Going forward, please treat your paying customers with more respect, anticipate their needs, and don't send long-winded defensive treatises when customers reasonably object to the way they're being treated. These are fairly easy-to-implement service changes and would really improve your service model.

I never thought I could get soooo excited about insulation....but I am!!!…read more Northwest Weatherization came out last week and added blow-in insulation in my attic. They were easy to communicate with, fast and handled all the rebate paperwork so I didn't have to. Our 2000sf house was built in the the 50's-prior blown in insulation was between 4-7" depending on where you measured in attic. I'm the Summers, our house was an oven, Winters an icebox. No central heating: just cadet wall heaters (all new). Although we try to be as conservative as possible with heating, our electric bill jumps to about $400/month when it gets cold. (We even have new windows/doors.) The insulation was blown in on the 10th, day or so after was that first really cold day:outside thermometer said 36*F when I woke up. Went to the living room/kitchen, no heat on all night. Absolute noticeable difference: it wasn't toasty, but usually if is 36 outside, with no heat on inside, the interior temp might be 45 on a good day. Already, the interior temperature is remaining much more consistent and we are running the heat way less. We had to have a few extras done, to meet codes, but even with that, after rebates our total was just over $2600. Considering how much costs for everything have gone up, I imagine it would have been way less if I would have done this 3 years ago when I first started thinking about it. I don't know how their prices compare to others, I just wanted it done asap so I didn't shop around like I usually do. However, I'm very happy with the price, the company and the results so far. REALLY looking forward to seeing next month's bill!

I was willing to go with Northwest Weatherization on the strength of their reputation and reviews,…read moreeven though they cost more than another company I was considering. But they completely dropped the ball on my efforts to find out whether they could truly insulate my 110-year-old frame home. After coming to my home twice -- once to give an initial estimate, the second time to look what was beneath the original siding (nothing but studs, it turned out) -- they were supposed to let me know whether they could do the job, and if the price would change. They never got back to me despite several text and phone call messages to Justin, the technician for the company. So I went with the other company. Disappointed at the poor customer service.

When Prolectric was found out to be a scam, I tried to get ETofO's help MANY times. they did nothing but cover their asses via email. Totally shameful. Someone should look into their funding-- I don't see why they deserve it... helping homeowners until they actually need real help IMO. Stay Away. When we replaced the siding, the foam insulation came off with it. We installed fiberglass between the studs and a foam layer over the entire home. We went from an R value of less than 4 to 21. ETO denied our rebate because we "went to the studs" instead of just adding more on top of foam. How can you add on top of the foam, when it is sprayed onto the siding that we replaced? No where in the website does it state this caveat. I feel that every step of the way, ETO tried to find a reason to reject our application. We had to submit several versions of our application and when they would send us an application, it was on older outdated version that offered less pay back. It appears to be company that tries to appeal to the notion of doing good, but does everything to deny pay outs. Don't think I will trust this business again.

Thank you for your respect, Dr. Energy Saver! Previous 2-star Review: Unfortunately, this has been a very difficult experience for me to address standing water & drainage in my crawl space. I agreed to work with Dr. Energy Saver back in October, hoping to have the work done before the rains started. However, the work was just completed on December 31. The communication of the team was absolutely horrible - with each of the team members understanding that my project was at different points. I was told it was done multiple times - with the piping above-ground, and an alarm that was supposed to be installed still in the box. Brandon and his team finally got it figured out and did a great job communicating, but there was still confusion between the manager, Sean, and the office staff, who even threatened via phone to put a lean on my home, even though I had been calling and emailing them about the poor work and needing to get the installation completed. Grateful to Brandon for his work, and his respectfully addressing my concerns and caring about me as a customer. I would highly recommend him and his crew. However, the rest of the team really needs to get their communication and customer service addressed - it's very draining (pun intended) to have to manage and check the work you're paying someone else to complete.

We found what…read moreamounts to our dream home, got our offer accepted, and our realtor recommended Tabor NW (specifically Zach) to perform the inspection on the home. We weren't too worried as, through the showings, the home seemed to be very well maintained. Zach stopped by the home to perform the inspection and confirmed that the home was in great condition, but as with all homes, there were maintenance, repair, and installation recommendations. Going through the home buying process, we had more than our fair share of questions and clarifications, but Zach blew us away. The evening following the inspections, Zach sent us a thorough and detailed narrative of his findings. We expected to read over it, have no clue what half of it meant, and then have to have the inspector and our realtor disseminate all of it. We were ab-so-lutely wrong. Zach not only gave us recommendations on what we should have repaired, maintained, or installed, but he laid out where any issues were individually located (with photos and diagrams), whether or not repairs and maintenance should be done personally or by a professional, and best of all, it was all presented in simple, easy to understand terminology. We had no questions, no stresses, and full peace-of-mind following Zach's inspection. It is entirely clear why Tabor NW was recommended to perform our home inspection. Thank you, Zach!
