So..: I'm going to be blunt and completely honest. I had a problem with clear choice…read moreconstruction. Apparently a prior job refused to pay them and it trickled down to my job. I couldn't contact them and I was for sure I got scammed. I went as far as to go to the police and contact an attorney who told me realities of recouping money. But here's the deal. The policeman went and talked to them and came back to me and told me the truth. They had a job fall through and this cascaded through many people. Is it right I couldn't contact them... NO. But he made me see it another way. They were scared. They didn't have our deposits as most contractors use one jobs money for another and it's a house of cards. That's reality of this business. These people made a mistake, but in his words, they weren't trying to commit a crime. And don't kid yourself... almost any mom and pop business is one job away from this happening. So I had 2 choices. Get mad, sue them, keep the police involved or I could work with them. Option 1 might feel good for a minute but option 2 allows me to get my windows and take a little off their plate. So, he had them call me. And with some brutal honesty on both sides we were able to come to an agreement. They could keep my deposit as labor and I'd purchase the windows myself (through them because I'd pay a fortune and don't have a license with manufacturers). And that's what we did. In the end it cost me almost the exact same as originally quoted. 3 weeks later my windows arrived and they promptly put them in. They look wonderful and they did a magnificent job. I have zero complaints and am happy enough to tell this story and try to help them out. Look, I wanted to believe the worst and almost let my anger take me down the option 1 road. But it wouldn't have benefitted anyone. A little compassion and a bit of honesty allowed both of us to win. I recommend you use them. Their workmanship is top notch and they are just trying to recover from a job gone bad.

Recommended by a friend in 2011 when i noticed a leak in my ceiling in ensuite bathroom after a storm. JP came, took a look and said the boards were rotten and would need a new roof. We went through my insurance company, entire roof replaced along with the replacement of a section of gutter. Literally one month later a leak showed up in my bedroom after a storm. I called another roofer to look at the problem and he said oh your flashing is missing. I called JP back and told him, he was adamant it wasn't the flashing and he sent one of his guys out. His guy sealed it with some type of caulk. It held up until June 2023. Ceiling in my bedroom leaking in the exact same location. I called JP since he had made the initial repair. In addition to the roof asked if he could replace a couple of boards of siding. He came out took a look. I showed him the leak and reminded him that he did the initial repair. He acknowledged that it should not be leaking. So he took a look and told me the leak was being caused by my old soffitts and talked me into replacing my soffitts and installing new gutters, and replacing all my siding. Only replaced 2 sides of my home with new siding, soffits and gutters added. The quality of the work was terrible. My leak returned about a month later. They came back out and said again it was the soffitts. They had left a gaping opening between the soffitt and the house, nails were exposed, coming clear through the bottom of the soffitt. They "repaired" the soffits but the leak persists. The siding isn't flush against the house, the trim wasn't replaced on the siding, siding weather barrier exposed on the bottom, missing the lath strap completely, so i know water damage is imminent. Can't afford to redo now. Ivehad to pay someone else to patch the leak in my bedroom that I paid JP to fix. My bedroom ceiling and wall will need to be repaired from the water damage. Note that each time i reached out about an issue the attitude was terrible. I wasted $12,000 on a terrible work product and even worse customer service.
