My experience with Graybill keeps getting worse. More than a week ago, I tried to schedule an appointment with my regular primary care physician, whom I've seen for nearly eight years. I was told he had no appointments available until June, so I was scheduled with a PA I had never seen before. On the day of the appointment, I arrived five minutes late because of traffic. The receptionist was immediately rude and said, "You're late." I apologized and explained that I was stuck in traffic. She replied, "Well, they're very strict," and told me to sit down. Two minutes later, she told me the provider wanted to reschedule. I declined and said I would be filing a grievance instead. After I left, someone else from Graybill called me. She was also rude and unapologetic. While I was speaking with her, I had Sharp Health Plan on the other line and merged the calls. When the grievance manager asked whether the office has a grace period for late patients and whether patients are told about each doctor's preferences in advance, she said that policies vary by doctor: some will not see a patient if they are one minute late, some will see a patient if they are 15 minutes late, and some will even see a patient if they are two hours late. She then claimed that patients are always told these policies and are also told to arrive 15 minutes early. That was not true in my case. I never received any reminder or notice telling me I needed to arrive 15 minutes early. I still need medical care and am now left trying to figure out whether I need to find a new primary care provider. What makes this even more frustrating is that Pamela responded to my previous review and told me to call, but she gave me the wrong number. I later got the correct number from my primary care physician's office manager, called it, left voicemails, and never received a return call. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone looking for a new medical group to think twice before choosing Graybill. They strive to provide the worst in patient care quality. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. Impossible to find or contact. If you even manage to be seen, they will incorrectly bill for seven months straight despite emails and phone messages to fix it. Did you know it's been seven months and Greybill continues to bill my insurance against an incorrect name? How is that possible when I filled my information correctly (wild, I know what my name is) and provided an identification card that they copied and have imaged. Prepare to be ignored. Prepare to have a doctor who has never seen your condition. Prepare to waste your time. I went to see cardiology and they never managed to even order a holter monitor for me. SEVEN MONTHS and couldn't order a basic holter monitor despite my follow ups. I guess it's because they've been billing under a name and account that doesn't exist. My husband assigned his provider to Graybill because it's down the street from us and they take our insurance. However EVERYTIME we schedule an appointment it is at lease a 45 min wait from our scheduled appointment. It makes no sense. I understand 10 min behind but practically an hour ?! On one ocasión my husband was scheduled for surgery. He had to take medication and STILL waited an hour in the waiting room. The staff was not telling us anything even though we were the only ones in the waiting room. I had to ask what was going on. Just do yourself a favor and go to another provider/ facility. read more

The lack of communication leaves much to be desired and earns Graybill Medical a D- Too bad that this medical group outsources to another continent for making appointments and getting in touch with the medical team. After I scheduled an appointment with the call center rep, I happened to go to the portal and saw that an appointment had been scheduled for my elderly mother-- with absolutely *no notification* --UNACCEPTABLE!! The only way I can be absolutely certain that my mother's medical office has received a message is for me to go to the reception desk in person-- which is difficult to do, as I live in northern CA. I wonder if anyone from Graybill's corporate office even reads these reviews? They might learn a thing or two about improving their patients' experiences! read more

YOU.WILL.NOT. GET. A. CALL. BACK!!! Receptionists are unfriendly and short. Ordering any kind of DME is a nightmare because the staff will not call you back- and when they do they act like you are bothering them. Dr's are okay but not worth staying if you can't get anything done. read more

I've been with Gray Bill for about seven years and although I liked my physician assistant and my doctor, it was very hard to get into my doctor whenever I tried to schedule something, so I was always referred out to the physician assistant. When I tried to schedule a physical along with a medical need, they told me I was no longer a patient of my set doctor, since it had been two years since I had seen her. I pleaded my case, given that she was never free when I needed to see her so they went ahead and made an appointment for me to get a physical and they called to confirm it two days prior. Then the day of my appointment, I got a call saying that they would not see me because I was considered a new patient. This is Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate to my health needs. read more

The Graybill billing department is horrible. If I didn't have a long history here I would avoid this medical group. Attached you can see I got a bill for $25, I paid that bill then after that they send me a bill for $75 including the $25 I've already paid. I then send them an additional $50 totaling $75 for all the outstanding balances. They have cashed all $75 so I should have a $0 balance, but they send me the same bill for $75. I call the billing department, they say they will review my account, but send me the exact bill they have been sending me. There isn't a single person locally that can be met with to go over this. read more

I've been going to this office since I was 18 and it's always been the same problem with every visit. The staff you call to set up an appointment have no clue what they're doing. They tend to have abnormally long wait times on top of poor coordination with the healthcare professionals. Just this week I called to make an appointment and showed up at the office to find out there's construction going on and they've moved locations. Mark, the person that helped me schedule my appointment over the phone, failed to let me know this when I scheduled. Then I call back and happen to get him on the phone again to find the new temporary location and he tells me my appointment has to be moved 2 days later because I'm late. Luckily I didn't listen to him and showed up at the new temporary office 15 minutes late and they were able to fit me in 2 hours after. I still had to wait 2 hours because of the lack of information but at least I was seen. The medical providers have been great here and that's the only reason I keep coming back. In fact that's the only reason why I'm giving this facility a 2/5 stars and not a 1/5. read more

I am a patient of this Group since 2018 and I am happy with doctors and nurses. I was never disappointed, they are helpful and friendly. Appointment system is still unlikely slow, but hopefully they working on this. I don't want to share my disappointments at time, when they been hacked, but anyway....weren't their fault. This place is an absolute joke. If it wasn't for the MDs themselves, I would give this place a 1 star review. There is no communication, most of the staff is unprofessional, Everyone at the counter will tell you something different with absolutely no accountability. Appointments take forever, getting a call back from test results is non existent. The customer service is absolutely horrendous! Graybill is a nightmare across the board, but especially with billing. I have received the same bill 3 times for an appointment from over a year ago. I paid the first bill, then accidentally paid the second bill because I didn't realize it was the same one. Now I've received a third bill. I tried calling a week ago and had to leave a voicemail, but no one called me back. I called again, but instead of letting me leave a voicemail it just hangs up on me. I tried dialing zero to hopefully speak to any person I could get a hold of, but had to leave my number for them to call me back. Have not heard back. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

222 2nd Ave, Escondido Graybill with John Scravinio PA was a disappointment. I arrived at my appointment time at 8:51 am today due to traffic on the 78 freeway and my appointment was at 8:45 am. Usually, there is a professional courtesy of 7 min and I am a regional ops of 6 medical facilities in San Diego and we do not do this. I was told by the front desk that they took the next patient and I was confused because I was the next patient. Front desk told me some providers do not accept late arrival of 5-6 minutes.Terrible patient care and scheduling. Refused to see me . It looks like they double booked the appointment slot and the receptionist stated that he was not sure why they booked it that way. I won't be back and will request to go to a different medical group on my next annual enrollment. Felt discarded and not valued as a patient. read more

Haven't been checked out by a doctor in years. I drove over an hour and thirty minutes from my house to this urgent care cause it's the insurance I have. I walk in around 3:20pm to check in with the receptionists and the first thing I notice is that I was LITERALLY their only patient at the time when I walked in, nor were there any patients being seen either. I told the receptionists I had came in to have my back checked out for back pain. 2 minutes after sitting down from checking in with the receptionists, a nurse (Never got her name btw) pulled me in without greeting me at all and started telling me to start going on their scale to weigh me and just follow her instructions without talking for a minute. After this nurse checks my vitals, she then asked "Why are you here?" In a way where I was bothering her and her associates for even coming in to be seen. I proceed to tell her about my experiences with my back pain about how this is mainly happening at my house ALL OF THE TIME with my back pain. After literally giving her almost a 5 minute explanation because the nurse asked me about it. I had then told her about LITERALLY 1 EXPERIENCE that I had while I was working. And very very casual and nonchalantly did she deny me service to be seen by a doctor because all I told her was literally 1 incident that happened while working. Her statement was that even if it was 1 very small incident while i was working, to this nurse it was considered Workman's Comp and she couldn't help me what so ever. After being told and no argument just accepted that I couldn't be seen. (I still can't believe this even happened) The nurse opened my door to leave after telling me she couldn't help. When she does, the room to the door I'm being seen in was wide open and all I hear from the nurse in another room where her associates are is "This one's Workman's Comp" and her associates start BURSTING out LAUGHING knowing they aren't and can't help me. I was being very nice the entire time when I entered the clinic to even after being checked out by the rude nurse and being LAUGHED AT by everyone else in the clinic. But seeing how the nurse easily denied me service after 1 incident, makes me wonder how quickly they've denied other patients in the past. Again I was their ONLY PATIENT when this all happened to me. read more

I have no complaint about my doctor (Dr. Haffie) or about the PAs or other employees, but this group is almost impossible to communicate with. There is no way to contact them other than by phone (no email, for instance), and when you telephone you get a recording, and you have to either stay on the phone listening to it for a half hour or leave a message for them to call you, which I did yesterday and still no call. I'm sure they are overworked and understaffed--I don't blame the individuals--but the process itself is awful. I have an appointment in a couple of weeks, for which I am supposed to have lab work done, and I still haven't received information about where to have the lab work or what needs to be done. read more

This is probably not the forum for my complaint, however, I cannot find a complaint forum for Graybill Medical group: Dr. Martin made me feel insignificant and wrong for being at Graybill Medical. Up front it was my fault because I was late for my appt with my doctor but I am transferring in a few weeks and wanted to clarify my position with my primary provider however she was not available and they said I could see Dr Martin. As she is not my primary care provider I was nervous and didn't know how this would go and then outside the door I heard her say "this like my fourth or fifth patient in a row that's not with their primary provider? Why don't they go to their Primaries??" and when I asked her when she came in, she said "oh you heard that...I guess it's just cause I'm the new person" Then she continued with what's wrong and I tried to explain my situation and she said "I'm not gonna give you any medication as I don't know you or your situation and I'm not just going off the history" she continued "You just ran into the wrong Doctor on the wrong day". Admittedly, my last labs were in 2023 but that should not be a reason to be scorned! She said "You shouldn't even be in here until you have new labs and I need to run you through the system and you should get a urine test for other drugs before I issue anything" and I said "well I'm gonna transfer to Colorado in two weeks" I continued " I want to keep my primary care here as I will be coming back-and-forth" and she said "oh I've treated a lot of snowbirds in my old practice" what is a Snowbird? Me? I will just be coming back and forth between my kids...I don't need to be called names or looked down on or treated poorly. I'm not sure if this is what your hospital is coming to, but it's not good and after 20 years of going to the same building (and doctor) it's sad to be treated so horribly! read more

The day before yesterday had a gout issue, extremely painful. Went into the ER, was greeted by the front desk, signed in - within 10 minutes was called in the back and vitals taken by an extremely professional and friendly nurse. After a few minutes the PA 'Alec' and addressed my situation immediately, then was administered some much-needed pain relief from the nurse. My third time there, convenience with confidence. Now I've spent the last week trying to get ahold of their billing department to straighten it out with no success. I've left my name, callback number and reason for my call as instructed and have yet to hear from them. But they sure were quick to take my money. read more

Very rarely will I leave a negative review especially for a Dr. I have to say my experience today was the worst Ive ever had. I have been feeling terrible for months now and not able to sleep. I woke up this morning and had enough I decided to make an appt for some relief. Thao Dinh was the only PA available and I've seen her in the past and she was helpful. Today she walked in the room CLEARY not interested in helping me with anything. Told me I need a psychiatrist threw me a flyer for who they contract with and left with saying....so what do you want to do.....I was in disbelief and left there feeling worse than when I arrived. I'm not writing this for myself as much as I am writing this to inform others who may be in a similar emotional state. Thao Dinh had no idea what was going through my head today and when I showed any emotion she couldn't have cared less. On top of it all....she talks so loud everyone else n the next room or outside could hear everything she was saying.I was embarrassed and let down. We had to go for my 6 year old daughter being sick. They were so great with her and so fast on getting us in. When she fell and hurt her wrist we were in and out in 30 min including the x-ray imaging. Oh, the pictures on yelp must be super old because it's been remodeled. Looks great. read more

I like my doctor and all the nursing staff have been amazing throughout the past couple years I've been with them. Recently though I cannot get through to anyone on the phone. I stayed on for about 30 minutes before hanging up. The phone just kept ringing and ringing and one time the automated machine came on to say I am "caller number 1 in line" but then just more ringing after that. I've had good experiences calling before so I'm not sure if it's because of the cyber attack that affected many businesses but they need to fix it. read more

This place is no longer Palomar but their service is still unfriendly & unprofessional. My wife cut herself badly enough she needed urgent care attention last weekend. Called our insurance & they indicated that this was the closest- big "Urgent Care" sign in front. She was turned away by the crabby nasty front desk staff who said "we aren't an urgent care" despite the sign. A little humanity would help these despicable people who are deliberately unfriendly to an older woman with a blood soaked towel on her hand in severe pain. Avoid this awful place if you can & seek urgent care somewhere else. read more

I recommend that you avoid Graybill medical group unless you enjoy the experience of incompetent administration. The doctors are good but not worth the frustration of a 1960's mindset by the group leadership. For example, try making an appointment. There is no patient portal, the phones go right to voice mail with no followup and you actually need to go on site to a facility to make an appointment, check your medical records, etc. All of this in 2025. The phone situation has definitely improved since the break up with Palomar. It no longer takes 30 minutes of listening to the phone ring to make an appt. That said, I have been a patient for over 30 years and have a good relationship with my primary. However, if you need something other than to schedule an appointment or a refill you don't need for 72 hours, this phone number is virtually worthless. There is only one gentleman who is answering the phone from Columbia South America that can manage to get anything else addressed. That and the tone of some if the office staff, the gentleman from South America should provide mentorship to the Orthopedic staff read more

I have an active insurance that I have confirmed with my insurance yet their system keeps saying my insurance is not active. I 100% believe it IS THERE SYSTEM. They had a data breach 6 months ago that made it impossible to call in and get an appointment. During this time I had to take time off work to physically go into office to make an appointment. It was super inconvenient. To top it off I had to call 25 times to get through to try to get my results for my MRI. I like my doctor but the system that Graybill medical runs is horrible. read more

I went on Sunday around 215 and was out by 2:45. I was in pain my lower back was killing me and the system was hacked or crashed never the less I could not get ahold of my doctor and no way to see him maybe for a few more days. I was unable to get any pain meds they said Dr will have to give me any rx but they gave me a shot! I have to say it 5:45 and my lower back is so much better. I hope I will get some sleep tonight. I was just tried to be seen at their Urgent Care. I was told they couldn't see me because I didn't know all the names of 9 meds I'm on. Can't get an appointment with my primary due to systems down for several days. Not to mention the tone of the girl was not at all understanding. Lacking any resemblance of compassion. It was like she was working at Amazon or other places lacking customer service. I have been to this Urgent Care at least 4 times with zero complaints. Other wise I'd give a 1 star They really shouldn't refuse to see a patient. That said, Graybill Drs and their dept staff are top notch. Today's experience is not usually. Graybill got divorced from Palomar a week ago, but communication with patients got worse. The Portal is one-way (them to me), so it's worthless, in both directions. I can't communicate with my doc's medical asst any more (even when I could it was a 24-48 delay); and all they send me on the Portal are "Health Summaries" every time they add something to my record that are just a data dump of everything in my record, most of it obsolete and inaccurate. The phone system now often simply disconnects after one ring. No explanation, just dead air. I had to call six times before I got connected to the call center. When I asked where the call center is located the rep admitted he was in Columbia - not South Carolina, South America. The phone system/call center is unresponsive to Rx refill requests from pharmacies and other providers, so they call me and tell me to call my doc to get the Rx sent. I wish I could. The only sure way to get a message to your doc's medical asst is to physically go to the office in Escondido with a written note. Even then you only get to see the receptionist. I like the doc's, but their effectiveness is compromised by the lack of corporate support. Between the phone system, the scheduling system (another story), and the cyber attack nobody will yet talk about the docs and patients are having to do what should be done by admin support people/systems. I don't blame the medical staff for being distracted and short tempered. I am too, every time I have to deal with Graybill. read more

I am currently receiving the worst medical care I have ever experienced in my entire life. Cancelled and rescheduled appointments, over and over again. I now keep tally marks on my calendar. Four of my doctors rescheduled me 4 times! Whoa! I rearrange my days for appointments for them to cancel just minutes before! Or I have waited in the waiting room for 1.5 hours before I finally asked, to find out she was still in surgery in a completely different area of tht city. ....Doctors with bad attitudes. Medical staff is unfriendly. You have to travel from where you live you their office just to communicate with them. A big cyber attack no one wants to talk about I have gotten to the point of frustration and anger. I'm ready to give up on this group of doctors and move forward in my life. 15 years ago when it was Graybill Medical Group, was THE BEST! This place should be demolished just like the hospital was. Healthcare has been compromised due to their communication systems and access to healthcare records being down for several months. No phone access to reach the caregivers, prescription refills are seriously delayed or unavailable. Appointments must be made in person and are then cancelled, rescheduled or not honored without explanation or communication. I saw a 75 year old gentleman that had recently had heart surgery turned away from the office saying he could not be seen. He had a handwritten appointment that the office had mistakenly forgotten to log in their appointment book. He had driven 45 minutes to his appointment. Waiting rooms are packed with frustrated patients and when the doctor does see you they must rush you through in an attempt to see everyone. All the while, Sharp bills for the insurance for compromised services. A class action lawsuit should be put together. read more

I have been a patient at Graybill for about 20 years and have seen it go through several changes. Unfortunately when PHMG took over I noticed a decline in patient care. Most noticeably with my gastroenterologist. My doctor has always been very good but his office staff was unreliable with the basics such as getting a pre authorization with my insurance for medication I have been on for years. The mistake was made in March 2023 and after trying for 5 months to get it done I finally had to change GI doctors and go outside of Graybill. There was a cyber breach in May but I had an insurance liaison working with the office to get the pre auth in to them but it never got done. The incompetence was unbelievable. The insurance liaison suggested I change to a GI doctor outside of Graybill and I'm glad I did. read more

Since their communication system was hacked everything started to go hay wired, staff are almost lost without the info that was available to them in the system. Appointments are mixed up and when you go for your appointment they tell you your appointment was cancelled and you were notified! While I was not.
