I woke up early to drive from Anchorage and it was so incredibly worth it. I was on a full tour - which was only 6 people - and the boat was great; enough space for all 6 people to either be inside or outside on the deck. We had exceptional weather (our guide even said the most rare thing we saw was the top of the mountain range) and it made for a great trip. We saw sea otters, mountain goats (from afar), harbor seals, bald eagles, jellyfish, and were able to follow a pod of orcas for an hour! Our guide was amazing - she was able to help us identify the pods and tell us their story - as well as she had great knowledge of the area, history and all the wildlife we saw. Please support this company - they were incredibly kind, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the natural area they were visiting.

He set up the day for Ling Cod first and we immediately landed legal fish. We motored about 15-20 minutes away and hit the Halibut spot which we obtained our limit with nice size fish in about 45 minutes. He moved to a third spot and we cranked in the rock fish as fast as we could throw in the line. Joe was a great guide, he knew where the fish were. He knew what to use and how to use it. Paid close attention to our needs. If you like structure and discipline in your day Joe is your guy. I will use him every time possible if I'm fishing the ocean out of Seward. The example that comes to mind is that they say -meet here and gives address then says that if your not there on time then you will be left and no refund. My husband emailed to get clarification (we went by the store multiple times andi was not open nor did they have hours of operation posted) and they responded back to follow the information on the email. This concerned me and started thinking about all the bad reviews and wondering if I had made a mistake. I recieved another email in which they had changed the meeting time (to a later time) and changed to boat name and slip location. We went down to the dock and found the boat the night before, still nervous and wondering if this was a reputable business. My husband went out and had the time of his life! Captain Carlos was absloultey the best Captain around (comming from a Captian-my husband). Captain Carlos was professional, to the point, charasmatic and loves his job. Our first tour was a kayak trip on Resurrection Bay. Rob had all of our gear prepared and ready to go, and even though it was rainy, the provided rain gear kept us warm and dry. We stopped for lunch and took a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. One of the women on our tour had some mobility challenges, and I was especially impressed watching Rob hike backward while holding her hands and making sure she felt safe and supported. Throughout the trip, he pointed out landmarks and wildlife and shared so much interesting information. He was knowledgeable, funny, patient, and incredibly attentive. Later that day, Rob guided us on a hike of Exit Glacier. His knowledge of the glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park was amazing. Along the way, we learned about the plant life, geology, and geography of this breathtaking landscape. I feel incredibly lucky that we had Rob as our guide. There is no doubt that we would have missed so much if we had explored these places on our own. He made both experiences unforgettable! Comfortable rooms, plenty of deck space and a cozy dining area are just a few of the welcoming aspects. I'm a taller guy and their bunk beds were still plenty comfortable. Crew cooks up some fantastic meals and is great to talk to. I would recommend to any group of friends or family for a nice private venture out to Resurrection Bay.

First Alaskan fishing trip and we're targeting the very best Salmon, Kings! Captain Dianne and her…read moreall girl crew are very professional and will walk you through the proper process of landing these beauties. Dianne's boat was equipped with special equipment that no one else in Seward has, which allows her to target the fish. Her boat is well equipped with fresh coffee every morning, very clean and comfortable seating with enclosed area to get out of the weather if necessary (with stove). Very clean bathroom with a sink. Fresh cut flowers throughout the cabin and bathroom. Dianne had a lot of reading material to keep you busy if you wanted to learn more. Start to finish they handled the baiting, rigging, netting and bleeding of the fish professionally. Once the Kings were in the boat, they were dispatched and bled in a separate tub that had fresh water running through. Once the water was clear they were put in saline ice water to chill below 32 degrees until we docked, and then transported straight to the fillet hand that met us at the boat. Once filleted, our fish was taken about 50 feet to J-Docks for vacuum and packing for flight ready transport. We had a layaway with J-Dock and added fish we caught each day. Picked up our fish the morning of the last day, frozen and packaged for flight. Max fisherman on the F/V Florette C. is six and everyone caught their limits of Kings each day we went out. Two of us caught really nice Ivory King Salmon, rare with even higher omegas. All of the Kings we caught were considered feeder kings, and found in salt water. Top notch experience when compared to other charters we took, especially the handling and storage of the Salmon. Captain Dianne's crew- Ace and Katrina were fun to be around and kept fresh bait on and you fishing! They laid out the fish at the end to capture a really nice photo to reflect back on the trip. If your looking for the best Salmon out there, the Florette C. with Captain Dianne and crew will deliver. We had a very nice experience and compared it to other charters that week that still delivered on bagging fish, but didn't handle the fish correctly in our opinion. Hope this honest review helped.

been fishing in Alaska since the late 70's and when Bob c started salt water safari he was on the…read moretop of his game with halibut fishing in Seward was the go to charter for halibut but that has been going down hill these last few years i know halibut size has been decreasing because of the commercial fishing but we tried going out last year June 24 2022 myself and 7 out of state visitors fishing with young bob was NOT very good catching halibut, fast forward to 7 June 2023 meeting at the office for a 7am departure the deck hands Justine and Dylan talking about we we're probably heading east like the day before I mentioned we're not going out for big halibut there answer was we're hoping not to go more then 1 hour not 3/4 hours well guess what we only went still inside the bay caught silver salmon which I didn't even get at the end of the trip when I went to process them there was pink salmon I didn't even keep 1 threw them all back NOT the deck hand's fault for not taking the boat to the right fishing grounds so tipped them for the job they did coming back to the dock and seeing all the big halibut and king cods for days just shows me we wasted our money and time ! I know we will never book this charter again and the company that recommended you will be notified of the joke you're company has become we will spend our money with someone that cares about the clients Randy G
