Don't get scammed by this place. I purchased BMW and it took 2 miles to see the "check engine" light on the dashboard. (Check milage on pictures) Costed me $2,958 to be on the road again and yet still $6,081 to fix the turbo. I cannot say enough bad about Grasso's. My daughter literally saved ALL her money to get her first car. She bought a 2004 Nissan Altima from Grasso's for $3,450 and was told that the price was firm because he had gone through the whole car; the brakes were new, the door was new and the catalytic converter was new. We have since had to replace rear brakes AND rotors, two tires (one was defective), weld her catalytic converter and that was AFTER the issues in the first 30 days of a sensor that was bad and the mechanic said it had been bad and reset as well as the gas tank cover being bent and unable to open. They were not willing to help with anything. Don't ever buy a car from Grasso's!!!!! read more

bought my 2006 subaru forester last November from these guys. They told me there was nothing wrong with the car, but it's been to the shop countless times now for several different issues. Would not recommend buying from these guys. I've never bought a used car without them even filling up the tank, and these guys gave it to me empty. the car was filthy as well. We called for roadside assistance, and they Conveniently cancel the order without letting anyone know we were sitting at TF Green Airport for over 2 1/2 hours with a dead battery. All we needed was a jump, it would've taken five minutes. Kind of sad consider they're only 3 miles away. read more

It's a shame this shop doesn't have an overall great rating because they do quality work. They have solid prices, and the staff is very friendly. Maybe the reviews are more geared towards the car sales, I can't speak for that. But if you're looking to get repairs done or an inspection, I highly recommend this spot. read more

While looking for cars, I was set on a Honda Civic no greater than $8,000 and 100,000. Every other dealer I found were selling 2011 Honda Civics with 90,000 miles within my price range. Grasso's was the only dealership with a 2012 Honda Civic. They sent me the carfax without me even asking. The carfax was nearly perfect. I compared the carfax price rating and KBB price rating to the car's price and it was on the lower end of the acceptable price range set by KBB. This car seemed too good to be true. I inquired if I can get the car inspected with my own mechanic before I finalize any decisions, Dean let me do so with no questions asked. The only issue they found with the car was that it would need new routers soon and brake pads. I took the estimate to Dean and he was able fix both issues before I signed any contracts. My only complaint was that communication between the loan provider and the dealer was poor. So it took longer than necessary to finalize the paperwork (also due to my own behalf). It is also hard to find a loan provider that would host this company since it's not a technically a dealership. That being said the interest rate may be higher than if you were to go to a traditional dealership. However, the price of the car plus the interest rate equals to be about the same as a dealership price with lower interest (pending credit score). Overall, Grasso's is a great financial decision especially if you pay in full. P.S: I noticed many reviews stating issues with cars purchased here. My recommendation is to always get the car inspected before buying. Unless the company provides a warranty which they would fix any problem for FREE. Otherwise get your car inspected before purchasing. read more

After bringing my car to a widely-known, well-advertised local dealership to have service done on my car, I felt it might be prudent to ring it to a local, family-owned business for a second opinion. I am so glad I did. Grasso's customer service is, by far and away, stellar. Grasso's provided me with a quote that they stuck by, regular communication as to how the progress on my car's repair was going as well as just being nice. I think you'll understand that last comment if you have been to any of the RI dealerships recently. Simply put: GO TO GRASSO'S (all caps intended)! A+++++++++++++++ everything. Thanks, Grasso's!! Bought my daughter her first car from here..paid him top dollar for the car $11,000..no haggling due to used car shortages.less then a week later coil went bad..grassos was quick to fix issue...all that is fine..however when work was done the mechanic neglected to replace cover on engine..when I realized this I contacted dean..he informed me that mechanic who worked on car was recently fired and would try to locate engine cover in his shop..after a few days I called and was told he couldn't locate cover or find another cover from a salvage yard and it really wasn't a mechanical issue and it was more of an aesthetic And the car was good..I guess when BMW designed the car with a cover to protect the coil and fuel rail connections it was just for asthetics..made it sound like he was doing me a favor..so instead of replacing an $80 cover he would rather get a bad review..I will also be contacting the dealer association..will never buy a car from him again and will advise others to do the same..enjoy your $80 cover dean read more

I recently moved to Rhode Island, and brought my vehicle to Grasso's for a $39.00 state inspection, since they were close to where I lived, the inspection was routine, and I had already had anything that required repair already fixed at another service center. I had a bad vibe about the place as I left my car there, but I shrugged it off, assuming the people there would be professional. It took them three hours to complete the inspection before they called me to come pick the car up. When I arrived, they said that the car had failed the inspection, due to "a leaky rack & pinion assembly" and "inadequate windshield wipers". This despite the fact that the previous repairs I'd had to the car had noticed no such problems with the front rack & pinion, and that the wiper blades had been purchased and installed the week before. The mechanic at Grasso's claimed that the repairs needed to pass inspection would cost over $700, and of course they were all too willing to complete them there. I angrily gave them my $39 inspection payment, and left the premises. I drove my car to another local inspection station, after receiving a credible recommendation from an auto mechanic friend in the area. This new station found no problems whatsoever with my car, and provided me with a passing inspection sticker lickety-split. It was upon leaving this shop that I noticed that the wiper blades, which had been installed properly before I left the car at Grasso's, had somehow "inexplicably" been turned around and loosened, so that they wouldn't touch the windshield properly. Grasso's, in a word, is a automotive clip joint. I will never be taking my car there for any sort of service ever again. I pity the fool who would actually BUY a car from this shady joint. A very dishonest, disreputable operation. Take my advice - go elsewhere. read more

Was so excited to find a great car at Grassos for a good price, but as I was recieving the results of my prepurchase inspection which I ordered and paid for, before I could respond to the information..A previous looker walked in with full cash and the car was sold to them with no prior deposit or agreement in place. He wanted the car but was short of funds but had gotten the needed money and Grasso cut me off in mid conversation on the results of the inspection and I lost the option to buy without the chance to take the car..I have to cry foul and just say they took the fast money and blew off all my hard work I had put into finding and having this car checked out..Im a long distance buyer and may have flaked out but they still would have had the sale..Oh well! Nice guys, prompt and responsive but definitely not on my christmas list! I would say I had the right to buy until I passed on the car, after the inspection..Or took it. I should not have been bumped out of the conversation and lost my prepurchase investment without a shot at the car. Wrong wrong.. read more

He found I needed a starter. Two hours later I was back on the road. The price was rite and the service was also.he told me all of there work was guarenteed one year. read more
