Exceptional care for my sweet Shadow!…read more When my kitty Shadow suddenly threw up seven times, I was in full panic mode -- but Walnut Creek Animal Hospital & Pet Resort got us in right away. From the moment we walked in, it was clear Shadow was in loving hands. She had recently been spayed there, and instead of being afraid, she pranced in like a celebrity -- clearly remembering how well she'd been treated before. Dr. Mackenzie Deviney came in and it was instant mutual adoration: Shadow rubbed, head-butted, and kissed her like an old friend. After x-rays showed a possible constriction, Dr. Deviney recommended a same-day barium test to follow Shadow's digestion from start to finish (yes, from intake to...outtake). The team kept me updated throughout, and when Andy picked her up, we were relieved to hear her intestines were back to normal size and the constriction had resolved. They even gave her anti-nausea meds to help with the vomiting. Shadow came home calm, bandaged with a dainty pink wrap on her little shaved leg, and promptly curled up on the bed like nothing had happened. She was never anxious, never scared -- and for this furmom, that means everything. The care, compassion, and love from the entire team were truly above and beyond. Thank you to Dr. Deviney and the amazing staff -- Shadow and I are forever grateful.

This is now CareVet and it shows. Everything we loved about this practice is gone…read more The DVM Caroline Christoff's awful attitude solidified we'll never go back. After 12 years of loving our vet choice and even driving 40 minutes to go there, she nailed that in the less than 2 minutes she gave me. They gave my pets prescriptions without an exam and now I'm off to another clinic because one of my cats has been limping and throwing up. The cleanliness has changed, clearly the care, and if you love your pet, DO NOT let them treat your pet outside of your vision. It was traumatic for my poor kitties and myself. The original owner is in Moore and I'm going to find Dr. Delaney because she was amazing.

I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer service and basic compassion at this clinic…read more I had an appointment scheduled for 4:30 PM for my dog who needed urgent care. Because I live 30 minutes away and had to rush home to get my dog during peak rush hour traffic, I proactively called ahead to let them know I was running late. Instead of showing any understanding for a working person trying to get medical attention for their pet, they were completely rigid. They strictly enforced a "grace window" policy, entirely dismissing the fact that they still had a full hour left before closing at 6:00 PM. To make matters worse, when we called to ask about payment options, the staff treated my wife with an absolute lack of respect. Their only solutions were entirely unrealistic for the average working person. They flippantly told me to just "reschedule" (which isn't easy when you work until 5:30 PM every day) or suggested I drop my dog off at 7:30 AM and leave her there until 6:00 PM. Why would I trust an establishment to watch my dog all day when they've already made it clear they don't care enough to do what they can to see her? This place operates like a rigid corporate machine, not a veterinary clinic that cares about animals or the people who love them. If you work a regular job or expect to be treated with basic respect and empathy during a stressful time with your pet, look elsewhere. They clearly do not care.
