We took our dog to Dr. Grimmett while visiting edmond for a skin condition that had been ongoing for months. Our home vet had seen her 3 times, prescribed the same treatment all 3 times and it clearly wasn't helping. Dr. Grimmett asked more questions and learned more about the problems and gave us better information than our home vet had in all that time. She was amazing! We have an updated treatment plan and some hope. I recommend her HIGHLY! Thank you so much! read more

I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else! My baby is highly fearful and Sunset works with me to make sure he's taken care of! The staff doesn't treat his visits like a hassle and instead greet him by name and try to comfort him. Dr. Maggie and Dr. Downs have been so kind and thorough in taking care of him. read more

Not the greatest place. Wants to get you out of the room quick. Doesn't have a good bedside manner. Overpriced!! Upsells!! New staff all the time. read more

Sunset vet clinic is not only there for your pet but also us too. The Veterinarians and staff are top notch. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies. read more

We LOVE Sunset! Everyone on staff is friendly and treats our dogs with so much love and care. We can't even say the word "vet" in our house because the dogs will get excited and think we are going to see their favorite people. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Sunset. read more

We had a very good vet here. He left & was the last vet to see our dog. Our dog had had his yearly testing for heart-worms (negative) & given a prescription to prevent them. I went in to get his pill like I always had & a tech told me that the dog may have changed weight & since the doctor that saw him last was no longer there - I would have to bring him back in for a visit (I already paid for this). I called the front desk later & asked why they would attempt to bill me twice for something I already paid for (they really need to take a Business Law class). She told me that none of the people working there would have said that because they all know the policy. I'm not so many words, she called me a liar. She said it must have been a misunderstanding - it definitely was not. I am a highly educated person; I did not misunderstand. Then she said that she wasn't going to "sit on the phone and argue", though this is a problem that is their job to solve & calling a client a liar (saying that I would misrepresent facts) is her attempt at an argument. STOP BLAMING YOUR CLIETS FOR YOUR OWN ERROR IN JUDGEMENT... I am so confident in what I was told that I will leave a written statement & if you want to sue me for it - try. Your people must not understand your policy. read more

Sunset veterinary has never ever disappointed me. I have taken both my dogs there for several years and they always get top notch care and attention. read more

My dog Peaches needed medical attention, nothing serious, but I was worried none-the-less. The entire staff at Sunset Veterinary made sure Peaches had the right care and I was calmer too! Great facility, fantastic staff, and a very positive, supportive and uplifting atmosphere. Thanks so, so much. read more

recently took my Min Pin to "Sunset Veterinarian Clinic" after being unable to get an appointment at her previous clinic. Everyone was friendly, efficient and gentle with my sick doggy. The prices were very reasonable and fair. I will be using Sunset for all of my Pet care needs in the future. read more

Sunset Veterinary Clinic worked us in same day when we became fosters for three puppies that were found during the winter storm. The front office staff and the girl that helped with the intake were all so caring and kind. Dr. White even followed up with me yesterday on test results for one of the pups. These folks were very caring and I really appreciated getting worked in two hours before they closed. read more

The owner of this practice has a heart of gold. He goes above and beyond to save lives. He and his staff care Deeply about each and every patient and client. Contrary to a review by someone claiming he stole a dog, he saved the dog's life when it was in critical condition. Hands down an excellent clinic and one I would not hesitate to entrust to my Pet's care. read more

Don't use them. They will rip you off every chance they get. I was told once we were an established patient there was not a fee to inject my dog with her allergy medication. Today they charged me a fee to inject the medicine, an office visit fee and a fee to run a heartworm test before they would refill her medication eventhough she's been on HW prevention. $500 today feels a bit much for a shot. They charge you a fee for everything they do. Find somewhere else to go!! read more

If I could give no stars I would! Did not inform me that if I got my dog a heart worm shot she absolutely can not have any oral medication until her shot date runs out!! My dog had an allergic reaction and the vet caught that she had the heart worm shot said it could have killed her to have oral meds! Very hard to treat ur dog with oral medication if it gets sick bc of it! They over charge so much it's ridiculous very disappointing! Will never go here again! read more

We found Sunset because two other veterinarians recommended the practice. I have had all of my dogs with Sunset since we moved here in 2015. Two of them have had some special needs. One crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2016 because of cancer and the other this past June due to complications from old age and hip dysplasia. We have our new puppy under their care now. When our primary vet there moved out of the area in 2016, I called her and asked where I should take my dogs. She said without hesitation, "Those vets are legit and will go to the ends of the earth for your animals." So, we stayed. I have recommended many friends to them and they have had the same experience I've had. In my experiences there, the entire staff is knowledgeable, compassionate, and we are grateful!!! read more

The staff is caring and helpful. I appreciate that the veterinarians take time to explain to you what is going on and why they recommend testing or treatment. They treat you and your pets like family. read more

I took my dog in today to followup an appointment and exam from 45 days ago. At that exam they indicated my dog needed a DA2PPV (3 year) shot and it would be 37.75. I clarified at that time that there would not be another exam fee as it was just a followup vaccination. They confirmed this. I cconfirmed before bringing in my dog that the total charge would be just the $37.75 and no exam fee again. That was confirmed. Today I took in my dog, she was in the room with me for maybe a total of three minutes to bring in the shot and another tech to lift the dog up on their table and immediately give her a shot. I took about 30 seconds total. The tech then totaled my bill and it included another exam fee. I refused to pay this citing their price and treatment confirmation. She came back in and reduced the bill to the agreed amount of $37.75. On the way out I talked to the receptionist to inform her I was not happy with the attempt to brazen =ly fleece me out of another exam fee. She straight-faced told me that the fee was to cover the time the VET TOOK OUT OF HER DAY TO CONSIDEER THIS REQUEST! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I infromed her I would NEVER come back with this unbelievable customer service treatment. I would not recommend this clinic as it appears to me ther are not interested in customers and their pets but fleecing the custome out of every penny they can! read more

Excellent veterinarian, technicians and staff!!! They truly go above and beyond for the pets that come to their clinic.

Absolutely the best Vet Clinic I have ever dealt with. Very accommodating to my older dog and cat. I had to call out of the blue when my dog ate something, and they guided me through what my next steps would be. Got a doctor's advice free of charge. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in the area!! Thank you Sunset staff! read more

Please do not go here. Nothing but terrible experiences from day 1. Front desk girls are rude on the phone, and in person. The female vet is there to scam you. She does not care about your animal, she cares about money. Do what you will with this information, but with so many others to choose from DONT CHOOSE SUNSET VET. read more

I love this Clinic, the people are great and really care about your furry family!

Excellent veterinarians, I'm super impressed every time I go in the front door. My dogs are like members of the family.

Here is the scoop with this place... The front-desk girls run the world! They are kind, polite, go out-of-their way to serve my pet-obsessed needs, laugh at my jokes, figure out ways to cut corners, and of course they make me feel like I'm their favorite client. The vet-techs are great too. They never make me feel like I'm a bad dog-mom or like I'm too dog-obsessed. They listen and some of them laugh at my jokes. BUT, the pricing/coding/fee scale is outrageous. The vets are all good and trust-worthy but every time I'm there it feels like there is one more thing my pet "needs", which equals one more charge. There is a office-visit price-range. WHAT!? This morning, my daughter took her dog in for an $18 Kennel Cough shot. That's all she needed. Her bill was $190!!! They also did a heart worm check ($39) and a Wellness Exam ($66) without asking first. That is $100 of services she didn't ask for! *They also discovered, after gathering his shot records up, he needed other shots... again, nice job front-desk girls. read more

Sunset Veterinary Clinic - Veterinarians Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

Sunset Veterinary Clinic is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the veterinarians are all very caring and have great compassion for the animals. Unfortunately, our first experience with the Clinic was when our dog became very ill and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I was not able to take him to the vet, and so my husband took him, but Although Dr. Grimmett didn't even know me, she called that same day and spoke to me on the phone for at least 15 minutes and answered all my questions and was very honest about referring our pup to a specialist. Spud ended up passing away the night before his specialist's appointment a week later. Sunset sent the nicest card with really genuine messages inside, and it is still on our fridge 7 months later. We switched our two other dogs' care to Sunset, and have also now seen Dr. Kennemer who is equally as wonderful as Dr. Grimmett. I would very highly recommend this practice! Not only are the staff wonderful at their jobs, but they are also relatable and genuinely nice people. read more

Overpriced...missed surgery quote by a significantly large amount. Make sure you get second opinions, and price options.

We have been going to this vet since 99 and have loved all the new people as it has grown. They staff here is amazing smiling with us during the happy times some have cried with us during the bad times. Our pup has had a rough year and the staff has been amazing with her. I showed up to get her thinking she would be in a kennel and they had her sleeping up front with them. We will always go here. read more

excellent veterinarians. excellent care. They charge appropriately for services provided, and truly care for your pet. Beware of angry people posting because they did not care for their own pet and then blame these veterinarians read more

We can't say enough about the above and beyond care, professionalism, and expertise everyone at Sunset Veterinary Clinic provides for all of our furry family members (and their overly concerned mom and dad). Our fur babies are part of our family and so is the Sunset crew. They are honest, diligent, fair, and so incredible at caring for our babies. True experts in their field. When we first came to Sunset, several years ago, our sweet Basset boy had been suffering from a number of issues that had been deemed untreatable by prior veterinarians. Immediately Dr. Grimmett identified the cause and began treatment that changed our boy's life and he enjoyed many years of health. Since, she and the rest of the Sunset family, have cared for all of our babies. We would never trust anyone else. I can't say enough to recommend Sunset. We've recommended them to many friends and all have had the same experience. read more

I have always thought they were a little overpriced but today takes the cake. At a wellness check in the past, they charged $8 to trim my dog's nails. So today, when I was picking up some medication, I asked if anyone could trim my dogs nails. I wondered why they weighed her for just a nail trim. Well when I checked out, my charge was $8 for the nail trim and then an additional $25 for "office visit/non office visit". $33 for a nail trim! Shady! I could have gotten a bath and haircut for not much more than that at the groomer. Go elsewhere. read more

I am so sorry to the staff and veterinarians at this clinic that have been slandered by false accusations through social media. I personally would like to thank each one of you for saving the life of a beautiful golden retriever in need of emergency surgery. read more

These people are really great! I use a vet who comes to my home for routine vaccinations. I've used her for a long time and really love her and want to continue with her. However, she doesn't do surgery or some other things she isn't equipped for. I wondered how I would be received when I called Sunset Vets about spaying my new pup. They could not have been more accommodating! They reached out to my vet to get my dog's history and treated me like I'd been their customer for years. They were all really fantastic across the board from how they handled my dog, to the professional way they interacted with me. They left me with the impression that they truly cared about my dog as an individual. Dr. Grimmett was knowledgable, personable, and took time to talk to me about my dog, not just her procedure. Awesome place! read more

Sunset veterinary clinic is the only place I will ever send my 2 dogs. All the doctors put your pet first, but also, Dr. Grimmett has the highest amount of compassion and love for all the sweet animals that come through Sunset Vet. She has loved my Dexter and Bowser for years and they are always excited to see her (probably because she gives them treats!) She saved my dogs life and for that I'm just beyond thankful for. but, Not only Dr. Grimmett, but the staff like Mark, Lauren, Christina -just to name a few were so caring and loving during one of our emergencies. You guys amaze us and we Thank you for all you do! If I could, I would give them 100 stars. They are simply the best. read more

Exceptional care by excellent veterinarians! One of my dogs had a bum leg and Dr. Grimmett wasn't satisfied when the tests showed nothing wrong. She referred us on to a specialist where we received bad news about our beloved PePe. Dr. Grimmett and Dr. Kennemer were with us every step of the way. They were never too busy for advice on treatment or increasing pain medicine during his final days. All the staff were so kind and compassionate when we made the difficult decision to put him to sleep--and they made the experience as caring as possible. Highly recommend this professional group to anyone needing great veterinary care! read more

Sunset and Dr. Grimmett are the absolute best!! If you love your furry friend, you must bring them to see the amazing staff!! They love your fur baby as if they were theirs!! read more

We have used this clinic since 2001. We have had multiple dogs and they have always been upfront about cost and honest with us. We have had a dog with diabetes and a thyroid condition; a dog with cancer; and a dog with an internal tumor unknown if it was cancer. We were given many options on what was best for each dog. If they are uncomfortable treating your pet they will recommend a provider who can treat them. I have witnessed first hand their compassion towards the animals and their owners. They also donate their time and services to the community. Free to Live and Dogapalooza at Bob Howard Auto Mall. read more

Terrible clinic, repeated visits they have overcharged and performed things not needed for our pet(s). They just say sorry and still say you need to pay after performing procedures that were not agreed upon. Another dog received improper care, and then charged us with the treatment to fix their mistake and dumped the dog back onto us, with no knowledge of the incident til we picked up the pet. No phone call, no courtesy warning, no call to even let us know the dog was ready to be retrieved. Do not recommend this place, there's many other options for good vets. read more
