I cannot say enough good things about this vet. We had a bad experience from Vetco with being overcharged for an ear infection our dog had. They had put him to sleep to treat him 3 times during his treatment and charged us a little over $2,000.00. Silverleaf not only cleaned his wounds on his body, his ear and also vaccinated him for $179.00 and my dog loved Dr. Floyd. My dog don't trust anyone. Everyone calls my dog a butthole because his anxiety is so bad but he melted like butter in Dr Floyd's hands. Thank you Dr. Floyd for taking care of my fur baby. read more

There is a cat that lives in my neighborhood. I could tell the cat was sick. I trapped the cat and took her to my vet ( Silver Leaf). They put her on a special diet and I've been buying the food from Silver Leaf. Silver Leaf knows that she's the neighborhood kitty and that I had to trap her to get her into the vets the first time. After 6 months they wouldn't sell me any more food or give me a prescription for it unless I brought her back in. I paid over 650$ when I brought her in the last time and the bag of cat food was 30$ a bag. I couldn't afford to take her back in. Plus I could tell she was much better being on this prescribed cat food. I begged and pleaded with them but they still wouldn't help me. This is all about the money. I've been using this vet since the 70's but I will NEVER use them again. They are heartless. I'm a senior citizen and I just don't have any extra money for another vet visit. The neighbors are kind to the cat but they're not going to help with any expenses. If you want a vet that really cares about your animal then you need to find another vet. read more

I called and received an appointment for the same day. When I arrived they were friendly and professional. My dog was looked at and the symptoms were taken. The tech was efficient and took care of my dog. She took my dog in and gave me an estimate on the time it took to run the test. After the test was completed she gave me the results. She had me wait for the Dr. Dr. Frost ( if remember his name correctly) explained he wanted to look further and took my dog back again. He checked her and looked at the blood work again and told me what he was looking for and explained it then prescribed medication for the dog. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I'll take my dogs back. Thank you for what you did and the follow up to see how she was doing. read more

People were great and loved the vet. I was unable to keep an appointment one Saturday because I was caught in blocked off streets during a Saturday marathon. I called, talked with someone. My dog was barking frantically, and I was lost. I couldn't hear her and was yelling at the dog. I just now called to reschedule; they said I'm not allowed to come on their property. Whoever I talked with that day said I cussed her out; I would never, ever do that EVER. I was upset but only at the situation and my dog. So I guess if frustration is considered cussing someone out? I don't recommend visiting this vet for this reason. This is such an awful feeling to be treated like a criminal, especially for something I would never and didn't do. Very, very, very upsetting. I've been taking my dogs to Silverleaf off and on for the past 30 years and has been the only vet I use for the past 10. I had to have two of my dogs seen. One for chronic ear infection and one for cough. The techs and vet were so nice to me and my babies. They were all so gentle with them (not that I've met one that wasn't because that would be weird) as well as didn't do unnecessary xrays. The vet explained to me why I could opt out of the XRay this time instead of adding $140 to the cost or not being thorough. My dogs are already acting like they feel better and that's what's important. If I had a complaint it would be that I was alone with two dogs and when leaving I was clearly struggling to get out the door and the young lady at the desk didn't even offer to help me. But I'm grown and made it out haha We're currently social distancing due to COVID-19 and i was the only person in the lobby and was taken to an exam room immediately as well as the only patient in the building the entire time I was there. I was so glad they were open and so relieved forthe risk protection. read more

I have used this vet over 10 years, It used to be a good place. I often have appointments since I have 4 dogs. Lately things have changed at this place. I took my dog Bullet to silverleaf on two occasions, both appointments were a month apart from each other and one was a follow up. He had a ear infection which I paid around 350 or more to treat, The follow up was 250. He still had issues even though I gave him two full bottles of prescriptions, they say the main treatment didn't work, so they wanted another appointment for me to pay 250. I simply asked if there was a way to just get the 75$ ear medication and waive the other fees. I asked this during my other dogs spay appointing I wanted around a month for. They said I had to pay the 250 and I agreed, I took mocha in to be spayed on time and they gave me a list of 600$ worth of treatment when I had been told 250 on the phone, so I politely denied everything but the spay and pain meds. They said its all required and the dog should get the full course. I asked to just have the spay, the lady started getting hostile behind the desk, she claimed she would go get the manager for my questions about extra fees. I just waited 5 minutes and the supervisor came out saying that she was informed I was cussing out the employees and being rude, I have never done that to anyone let alone silverleaf employees. I was then asked to leave simply because I denied the full treatment and just went with the minimum required. They always acted as if the stuff was optional, however if you did not buy it they looked down on you. a spay appointment that is estimated at 250 is actually 600. It goes up based on dog size. I simply asked if she would calm down and explain why she was so angry and why I was being accused of stuff I didn't do, she simply said the police would be called if I didn't leave my vet of 10 years. I was confused and felt much disrespect. I hadn't been treated so badly in my life. She falsely accused me of things I didn't do, now I have to go to civil court and Sopena their video cameras so I can sue them for the mistreatment. I have a lot of respect and patience in Silverleaf, it would take on average 2 appointments each time my dogs were sick and they blamed that on traveling veterinarians. I also paid around 4k to treat my dogs for heart worm a while back, I didn't complain but I have since learned that they were very overpriced. Now I am trying to look for a new and affordable spay appointment because I waited almost two months for this one, now I have nothing scheduled and they refused to do it for 250$. I haven't found a place that is under a 2 month wait. My new dog goes into heat and has gotten into several fights that almost lead to death, silverleaf claimed it was because she was in heat but they now will not do the procedure on her. This vet does not care for their clients. read more

This has always been my dogs vet since he was born. Even though we have moved further west, we still visit here for his annual. The vet has changed however. It used to be an older gentleman but now it is a young male named Scott Floyd. He is straightforward and his manner is nice. Staff is also nice and usually if you call during business hours then they can usually pencil you in for same day appointment. The establishment is kept clean and doesn't have that animal smell. They used to do a grooming service but I'm not sure if they still have that. Either way I come here more because it's familiar and I'm really too lazy to go elsewhere read more

My family and I needed an appointment to get our cats up to date on shots. We had appointments on base, but they had to close because of Covid. I asked friends who they use and Silverleaf was mentioned many times. I decided to use them. I called, and made an appointment. They do offer a military discount. When we arrived they had great covid steps in place. We were placed in a very small cramped room. I had my two kiddos, and three cats with me. I could hear everything going on in the back room. Some of the things I heard just did not make me feel comfortable. One employee was peed on by a dog and he was not the happiest. I understand that, but... yeah you work at a vet. Two techs finally came into the room to to administer the shots for my cats. Both seemed a little uneasy. I ended up having to step in and help out the one employee and hold my cats instead of them. Normally I let the vets do their job. I figure they know best. Finally the doctor came in. Thanks goodness! I think he was the only one who gave me a warm fuzzy and made me feel like my pets and myself were safe. In the end one of my cats needs a surgery, I will look for a place instead of coming back to Silverleaf. I need to feel comfortable especially if my pet is having a surgery. This was not the place for that. read more

I want to appreciate Silver Leaf Animal Hospital. My husband got sick while on a trip and I urgently needed a vet certificate so that our pet dog could fly home to NC with us. A number of offices I called said they had no appointments available, and did not seem familiar with the required health certificate (needed for a pet to travel as air cargo). But Silver Leaf fit me in on the next day and were so kind and efficient. Dr Floyd was well informed, professional, and kind. This has been a family vet since Dr. Briggs, and now that I have my own animals it is my vet. Dr. Floyd and the staff have never been anything but amazing. The lady who works the front desk is a little brash at times but that is okay by me. As far as the pricing goes, I have always been told upfront before a procedure or anything that would cost money was done. I have never been surprised with a charge or upset with the service provided. They offer grooming on select days and boarding too, one should call first to confirm schedule and availability. And as another yelper stated if you need to get in they can normally fit you in next day, that is what I did. read more

I have been taking my dog to Silver Leaf for a little over a year and they have always been very courteous and thorough. Back story, Silver Leaf treats the animals at The Moore Animal Shelter and that really impressed me! They obviously have a heart for animals and helping the ones that need it the most. My latest dog came from the Moore Animal Shelter (all my pets come from either Animal Shelters, Rescues or neighborhood animals that are neglected or left behind) and that left a great impression on me. If you want to use a Veterinary clinic that cares, truly cares about the welfare and happiness of your pet (we call them our fur babies because they are members of our family). Dr Floyd is so awesome, he's super knowledgeable and takes a conservative but effective approach to my dogs healthcare. I recently lost one of my pups (old age) and he personally spoke to me over the phone and helped me multiple times throughout the management of her health needs towards the end. Started going to Silver Leaf years ago when Dr.Briggs was there. He was such a good vet with a lot of compassion for animals. When he left, it turned into something that I believe he'd be ashamed of. Myself and my other family members and friends in the community were so disappointed in what this long time loved vet's office turned into, and we all decided we would go to Scroggins instead -- best decision ever. Today, my elderly grandmother's dog was attacked and bleeding out and I called them and told them she'd be there in 10 minutes and asked if they would wait for her because it was about 5:15pm or so. They told me NO they wouldn't wait for her because they closed in 10 minutes and for us to drive this dying dog across town to the rip off emergency vet clinic off 240. To say that these people care about animals instead of their precious closing time would be a lie. I would never leave a negative review, but rather never go to that place again, but this needs to put out there. This vet's office doesn't truly care about animals, they care about money first and closing time second and maybe, just maybe, an animal if it's convenient for them. Go to Scroggins, they might be expensive but they have a real heart for animals. (yes my location says Texas, I am an Oklahoma native and yes the poor doggo died before they could make it to the emergency vet). read more

Once again Dr. Floyd and his staff have gone above and beyond. They took such good care of my girl and have even called to check up on her multiple times after they had to do a blood transfusion last week. They even checked on my other dog that was the donor. My husband brought our 11 year old fur baby in for an exam. Rambo, our cat, was not nervous or anxious. The staff was very friendly and caring towards him. My family did not wait long to see the doctor. There were no surprises about the cost of care. We will be returning with our " scaredy- cat", Junior, soon, He will be in good hands. read more

My puppy has never received bad service here however on our last visit, our puppy was having pain around the head/neck/ear area and yelping. Vet looked at him and said he thought it was possibly inflammation and prescribed meds. He said that if it continued, he recommended further treatment included x-rays etc and supplied us with a printout of what the treatment would cost. It was nearly 400 dollars. Turns out it was inflammation thankfully. While we were there he flushed the puppies ears and later when looking at the bill, I noticed we were charged 40 dollars for this over the counter liquid to be "flushed" in his ears I have since purchased online. (8oz for 14.00-free shipping) After calling around and comparing prices on not only the flushing but the printout he provided us, Silver Leaf is much more costly than the surrounding vets so we will be going elsewhere. Staff was always pleasant though. read more
