This is his coat after the lion cut. Before his cut, we couldn't even pet him because it hurt too much due to dreads.

My name is Kasey, and I'm a cat lady. I got my first cat twelve years ago and soon had been gifted with two more lost kittens with no home. I try to treat them the way I would want if I were a cat: good food, plenty of petting, clean litter and of course, no declawing, in case they ever get out and have to protect themselves. This means over the years, I've gone through some furniture. The cats knead/claw the furniture to sharpen their nails. I've bought $100+ scratching posts, tried sprays to calm them, tried redirection, consistently cut their claws to keep them short, etc. Nothing worked. I always had scratched up furniture, and I just decided there was nothing I could do but be comfortable with the idea of replacing my couches often. Then two of my cats got cancer and passed. My only remaining cat had trouble grooming himself because he has always been with two older cats who groom him. So, I called everywhere. No one would groom a cat during COVID they'd never groomed before. All the big chains said no. I searched and found Aristocats. After a 2.5 month wait for the appointment, they were so kind and took care of his coat with the most beautiful lion cut. He was so happy, he'd let me pet him again without getting upset about his coat. They asked if I wanted claw caps, and I gave them a try. *MY CAT WILL FOREVER HAVE CLAW CAPS NOW.* Such an elegant solution and for only $18. He has been a different cat since. He is so happy with his coat and I haven't seen him claw anything since we started doing caps two months ago. It is beautiful. I bought new dining chairs and bar stools that are velvet, and I never would have been able to do that before. The cherry on the sundae is I brought medicine with him because he can be anxious and I wanted to make sure they were able to fix his seriously dreaded coat. When I picked him up, they said he was great and he didn't need medicine! I would give them six stars if I could.

This is my 18 year-young girl fresh from her grooming appointment at Aristocats.

I have taken my old cat here for several years now. These ladies have such a heart for kitties. My old girl is now 18 and I wouldn't trust anyone else to bath or shave her. In the last several years she stopped grooming and is prone to getting big mattes in her coat so shaving her is really our only option. I would not hesitate sending anyone here for boarding or grooming.

I usually get a bath and a potty trail for both my cats every 3 months and it runs me about $100 total.

First visit went well, 20-minute wait, but overall care for our dog was fabulous. Very reasonable fees too. Next trip was for meds only, unlike other vets, an appointment charge was not required. Another win! Unfortunately, today, less than an acceptable visit. stopped in at 11:23am, was told that all vets were at lunch, understandable, so non-issue. We purchased the needed meds, $439. An employee apologized that no vet was available but suggested we come back again at 1:30 pm. We did so, actually 1:15 pm. Two others were there before us, so not a huge time concern, plus I falsely assumed that been asked back at 1:30 pm from the no vet available at 11:30 am, we would have a priority attention. After waiting nearly 90 minutes, a long wait to be sure, but the frustration was that four other people came in after us, but were attended to before us? Their protocols and communication were very confsuing and seemingly inconsitantly enforced. A total wait time for the day nearly three hours. When I went to the check in counter expressing my confusion and dissatisfaction, then, miracuoulsy, they could "get me in" next. It was a frustrating experience, an unnecessary waste of time for me and very traumatic for our 14-year-old dog. She spent the same three hours shaking, shivering and fearful. Very unprofessional communication and concern today for us and our dog. Batting zero no, dropped from batting 1000, at best the clinic is a roll of the dice. Didn't live to the rave reviews I had heard about the clinic. Hence the maybe recommend rating.

Amberlynn from Happy Tails - A True Gem…read more We've had our fair share of petsitters, but Amberlynn from Happy Tails is something special. She's got this natural way with animals that's just amazing to see. Our puppies took to her like she was part of the pack from the get-go. It's clear they adore her, and honestly, we can see why. Amberlynn does more than just the usual feed-and-walk routine. She really gets to know our pups, giving them the kind of attention and love they need when we're not around. It's comforting to see how well they respond to her; it's like they've known her forever. What we love about Amberlynn is how down-to-earth and genuine she is. She's not just checking off a list; she's there, in the moment, with our puppies. It's that level of care and connection that makes us trust her completely, especially when we're out of town or out of the country. With her, it's not just about safety (which she's great at, by the way); it's about making our puppies feel happy and at ease. Every time we book her through Happy Tails, we know we're leaving our pups in great hands. Amberlynn's just got this way about her, a real animal whisperer. If you're looking for someone who'll love your pets as much as you do, she's your go-to. We're super grateful to have found her and Happy Tails. Amberlynn is truly one of a kind.

I checked out a few daycare/boarding places for our 1/yo corgi girl. We had a vacation coming up,…read moreand I wanted choices of places I'd feel better about leaving my (self-diagnosed) emotional support fur baby. I found 1 other place that charged a little less for day care and boarding. Truth be told, our girl had fun for her test run play date there too. Popular place, with recommendations. I still wanted to find another. A neighbor told me about Happy Hounds. I'm glad they did, bc Happy Hounds was the best decision. First, the owner herself is extremely hands on in the business. I liked that she was there to greet the customers. In fact any time I've walked in, she's been there. Early AM or for the PM pick up. For our temperament test, we arrived during a shift change. As I watched on the lobby cameras/screens how my girl was doing for her test, I heard the staff exchanging stories of how the day went. ...Which pup was there, and their activities, moods, etc. The whole staff was clearly engaged in the convo, with clear intent to carry the information into their care. When I dropped my girl off for her staycation, I was a mess. It was new spot for her, she looked at me like "why are you leaving me?" Like a good parent, I swiftly walked out with a smile, and only lost it once I got outside and she couldn't see me. The staff was so nice about my clinginess, always gave me a swift response when I asked about my girl. That first night saying she quickly adapted, ate dinner, and fell into the routine quite well. I chose HH because they said they touched base 2x a day. And they did! At another spot we'd tried for a shorter stay, they said they would - but I had to ask and wait for a response to find out anything. But, with HH, I got a pic in the AM and PM. Every time I could see my girl was doing great and having a blast. Which every time my husband would tease, "she looks like she's having a horrible time. All smiles, and happy." I always received a little extra info on her if I asked. Never made me feel like a bug bc I asked. The more days we were away, the less I asked bc I could tell she was happy and just fine. I hesitate in telling too much about HH, because one thing I like about it is that they don't seem to have 100 dogs everyday like some of the other places we checked out. Happy Hounds made it feel like your dog would get personalized attention, and not in this large corral and a sea of furry faces so they could have more $$ per day. I liked seeing posts of days they were already full - and not trying to squeeze in more dogs just to make more money. I want my girl to get interaction, not be a number for the day. The proximity is close for us, so we've been back for day care. The easy drive up pick up and drop off is super nice for the play dates. Their center is SUPER clean. When I picked up my girl after our long vacation, my heart filled with the staff on duty swooning over my girl. She was happy to see momma (me) , but also saying her sweet goodbyes to the staff. I could tell they took care of her the same way I would have. Which is why HH will be the only place we board our corgi girl when need be.
