Last week I drove to New Hampshire to visit my parents. En route, my beloved car died. I managed to get to my old mechanic in Manchester, who put a battery in and said to get to a dealership/service department quick, since my IMA system was on the fritz in my 2013 Honda CR-Z. I immediately thought of Grappone. When I called, I tried to explain the story. I explained that I wanted to come in that day, look quickly at my car to tell me if I had any options, and that I would like to buy a car that day if I did not have any options. I was transferred to the service department. Before I even finished speaking the bored, uninspired woman on the other end told me there were no appointments until the following Thursday. Taken aback, I tried to explain my situation again. She couldn't have cared less. Frustrated that she didn't understand, I hung up the phone and asked my mechanic what to do. He said to call AutoFair in Manchester. They took me in immediately and told me my IMA system had failed. They were gracious and kind when they told me how much it would be to fix. I made the decision to buy a car the next day from them. I bought a 2021 Honda HRV. I'm writing because I am totally baffled that you literally refused to help me in this situation. I told the woman I was planning to buy a car if my old one was too expensive to fix. Grappone pretty much refused the sale!! To make matters worse, I randomly kept getting messages that a service appointment had been scheduled for me tomorrow, June 27. I kept trying to cancel it, but no luck. I am deeply disappointed and honestly confused by your dealership, and won't be able to forget this. I live in Connecticut now, but I'm in New Hampshire all the time. I will be telling as many people as possible how your dealership refused to help me, then had the GALL to schedule a service appointment. It was clear the person on the other end wasn't even listening to me in my hour of need. If I were management, I would want to know this happened. I will also be posting it on your reviews. After being away for a few years I recently found myself a Grappone customer again. Initially I was drawn to them because they were the only Hyundai dealer in the area that had what I wanted in stock. However, as the process progressed I was very impressed with how I was treated by salesman Joe Hardy. Zero pressure, zero games, all my questions answered honestly... plus a very friendly, professional and courteous manner. When I took delivery the same was true with the "finance / business" lady that handled the paper work. I believe her name was Renee. All in all, a very pleasant experience. One of the talking points of my salesman was that if I bought a car from Grappone, they would provide "free" NH state inspections for 10 years. Took my less-than-two-year-old car to Grappone for a state inspection and was presented with an estimate for over $700 in repairs "needed to pass state inspection". I declined the work authorization and took my car to a reputable independent garage and NH state inspection station for a second opinion. We have been purchasing vehicles from Grappone (Concord, NH) for over 20 years and have been loyal customers, referring friends and family. Having said that, it is not likely we will be returning to Grappone in the future. Earlier this week, my husband drove 2 hours to get there, and decided within an hour to purchase a truck he test drove. When he called me about the interest rate they set, I was confused (our credit rating is above 850), my husband inquired and was told that the 5.4% was "just a starting point". We were then given a 2.4% interest rate. I was not aware that interest rates were negotiable and the goal was to find us the BEST interest rate, right?. In any event, my husband waited while they processed the paperwork, then just before 7pm (closing time), he was told he would need to come back the next day to complete the process, as the finance person left as 6:30. Pardon?! Who leaves in the middle of a deal? My husband left and was not pleased. He left a message the next day for Amanda, wanting to talk to her about our experience. As the owner, she would want to know. Our call was not returned. Apparently, the loyalty only goes one way. read more

I cannot say enough about how amazing Grappone Automotive Group was in my recent purchase of a 2020 Mazda CX-5. I found the car I wanted on line and reached out to Grappone to make an appointment to see the car. Ashley was able to get me an appointment and I met Sam Maloney on July 28th. Sam had the car ready for me to test drive when I arrived. I already knew I was going to like it, I am a big Mazda CX-5 fan....and previous owner. Just the same, Sam was able to walk me through the details of the purchase, explain the benefits of purchasing a certified pre-owned Mazda, offer/explain--without pressure -- extended warranties, and bring in members of the team in which he functions, to get me the car that I wanted. It seemed slam dunk, except that I screwed up my on-line wire transfer for the cash purchase. Sam remained patient and calm and assured me that he and the team in which he works would hold the car and wait for me to figure things out. Which I did. Buying this car was stressful for me and yet Grappone and Sam and the team in which he works, were able to keep me calm and confident. What I am saying is that professionalism, knowledge and kindness were all exhibited by Sam Maloney and the Grappone team. I will be forever grateful. read more

After contacting several dealerships while shopping for a Tacoma, I ended up walking into Grappone, and an I ever glad I did! Several other dealerships either did the bait/switch/up-sell game or low balled the hell out of me on trade-in. Lori at Grappone was very patient, explained everything clearly and even came in on her day off to help me with my Tacoma lease. My credit situation wasn't the greatest but they were able to secure tier one for me regardless, gave me TWICE what other dealers were offering for my trade (an 02 Explorer) and made the whole experience not only painless but down right enjoyable. This is my first lease, but if I buy this one out or lease another, I'll be back to Grappone from now on! read more

I have been a Grappone customer for 9 years, and my family has always had a Grappone vehicle. I just hopped into a new lease this past summer, a Mazda3. I've leased twice before and my first car (used) was off the Toyota lot. Why do I keep going back? Affordable, friendly, thoughtful & safe. Their new negotiation free system that they've just put into place this summer is a huge game changer in the car industry. Price is important when making a big purchase but customer experience and the interaction at all of the Grappone locations is now the focus of the car buying experience. It's now hassle free and not such a chore to shop for a new car. I've been to other dealerships in NH and they don't even come close to Grappone. Grappone fan for life! I had been what I thought was a loyal customer of Grappones since 2006 when I bought my first new Hyundai there. At that time I was treated very fairly by Joe Orlando (no longer there) and continued to return there for all my service work. Both Mike and Brandon in the service dept. were always fair and polite with me and any repairs were done properly and in a timely manner. ...Fast forward six years to when this vehicle is totaled in an accident and I find myself unexpectedly in the market for a new one. Naturally the first place I went was Grappones, fully intending to buy from them. I spoke with a "product specialist" named Melvin who I found to be very knowledgeable and pleasant, and assured him that once the insurance was settled most likely we would be makng a deal. However... during the next few days I noticed that their competitor to the north was offering the identical car for $2000 less. When I brought this to Melvin's attention -- hoping they would match it -- his comment was,"If you can get it for that price, do it. We can't beat that." So, reluctantly, that is what I did. To my knowledge no sales manager was spoken to or consulted. Sadly, this tells me that Grappone has no interest in retaining good, loyal customers. I had planned on being a customer for life, but this incident has shown me how important my business is to them. If i could give negative stars i would. Spoke with my sales person on the phone several times over a period of about a week. Came to an agreement on a price and car....Made an appt. to go buy it.....When i got down there the scam staqrted....Waited a half an hour while they "looked for the car" They couldnt find it ...another half hour later she came and told me oooops sorry that car was just sold.....!!! I explained to the sales manager we had a deal....She said oh we have lots of other cars and showed me several (Toyota camrys) that were from 900 to 100 dollars more! This was the classic bait and switch! We eventually bought our car at IRS's in manchester and got a better deal...and they were awesome! Three years later they fixed an auto tranny problem out of warranty for no charge! One of the salesmen there told me that grappone is known for their bait and switch tactics....So im very very suspect of their 4 and a half stars.....I think some employees wer`e working overtime on the computer! read more

I have had two not so wonderful experiences from Grappone Hyundai and The Grappone dealerships in general! The first time I went there was last year to trade a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe & a 2001 PT Cruiser for something newer, and got talked into trading for a 2013 Elantra. They only let me test drive it around the parking lot, so, I really could not tell how good the car was. Well, my mistake , I ended up purchasing it and hated it, and it was terrible in the snow! I ended up taking it back, and leasing a Honda CRV because every car I wanted was either sold, or had way too many miles for the price. Could not even afford the registration on the Honda as it was over $496! It sat for two months, and I ended up having to sell it to a dealer losing $3,000 on the sale! They would not even buy it back from me, and I had already lost my two cars in trade, so, basically lost out the $3,000 which was rolled over into another car! They will offer enough for a trade, but, they charge a high fee for processing, and I even tried once again this year to give them another chance, and they really disappointed me tremendously not to mention very much angered me as well! I was looking to trade a 2002 PT cruiser for a 2006 Hyundai Tucson, so, I called them, no problem, they had the SUV, but, said they could not sell it yet because they were waiting for the title. So back and forth we went, and I was told as soon as it was ready to sell they would call me, as I was ready to come and purchase the SUV. Well, about a week later I get a call from someone other than who I was dealing with saying Sorry, we sold the SUV this morning, it is no longer available! They are all in it when they want to sell a vehicle, but, will not hold it even if you are willing to put money on it! It is all about the sales for this dealer, and when it comes down to it could care less about the needs of the customer, and are more than willing to screw you over! They are very nice when you are purchasing from them, and even while they are a commission free dealer they make up for it in the dealers fees! If you want a car they have on their lot, you'd better buy it right away, because they will NOT hesitate to sell it to the next guy in line! read more

I recently went in to Grappone, having always bought privately. I had heard their ads on the radio about being a family owned business and I learned that their employees weren't commission based so I figured I'd give it a try. Cortney greeted me when I came in and she was an absolute dream through the entire process. She helped me find a car that was even better suited to my needs than the one I had originally come in for, and she was thorough and clear throughout the entire process. I never once felt pressured into the purchase and the few questions I had she was able to answer easily. I honestly never thought buying from a dealer could be such a pleasant experience and I attribute that fully to Cortney. I have to give a shout out to Michael as well, who helped with my appraisal and offered me multiple coffees and was equally as clear and friendly as Cortney.
