Taggart's Ice Cream parlor has been around since 1926…read more This place transports you to the 1920s with its original high-backed maple booths, old wood and tile floors. Taggart's serves premium housemade ice cream. They also have an extensive menu of diner comfort food, from sandwiches, soups, salads, sandwich melts, burgers, hot dogs, and classic appetizers like French fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and even deep fried pickles! As far as ice cream selections, they have a wide variety: cookie sandwiches, chocolate covered bananas, sundaes, milkshakes, and floats. They also sell different varieties of soda. The cashier, Lauren seated and served me. I ordered a Clubhouse Sandwich with fries $9.50 and their Mini Bittner $5.45. The clubhouse sandwich was big and fresh. It could have been two meals and they gave me a hefty side of fries. It was surprisingly delicious. The MINI BITTNER is a Taggart's tradition and MUST-TRY if you are in Ohio. It is a smaller take on their Bittner, and includes about 8 oz of vanilla ice cream blended in chocolate sauce and topped with a huge serving of buttered, salted pecans. I kept eating it and the pecans were endless lol. I didn't love it, but it was interesting. It got quite salty after a while. All in all, the ice cream was good and the food was even better. Customer service was excellent and Lauren came back to check on me. I will definitely come back to try their other dishes and varieties of ice cream. Tip: if you are just getting ice cream, you can enter and go to the left, and if you are dining in, you can go to the right and they will seat you. Happy eating! Yelp Review #48

As far as parking, there is no parking lot and offers on street parking only. There is usually plenty of side street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. There are two sides to Taggarts: the order ice cream only side (inside on the left) or the option to sit down & order. The staff is super friendly and absolutely love working at Taggarts. During this visit, we tried the cheese curds and fried zucchini. Both of these fried appetizers were awesome as to be expected. I got a bacon cheeseburger which was actual ground beef compared to other places who use frozen burger patties. If you are looking for a classic tradition of Taggarts, you must try the Bittner ice cream sundae. The Bittner is "A Popular Canton Classic since the 1930's! Three-quarters of a pound of vanilla ice cream with homemade chocolate syrup blended throughout and generously sprinkled with roasted pecans." It is soooo goood!

The staff member informed me there are other locations in TX and FL as well and seems to be expanding. Smoosh specializes in cookie sandwiches (I also saw brownies and donuts), but you pick a cookie/baked item, then ice cream, then toppings (if you wish), and then they "smoosh" it into a sandwich. However, you can also have baked items & ice creams separately, as well as, sundaes, and milkshakes. We got: - red velvet cookie, cookies 'n cream, gummy bear, sandwich: overall pretty good but for the price, I wish the cookie was bigger. She did put a copious amount of ice cream and the gummy bears were not dried up nor stale - superman ice cream scoop - my kid seemed to enjoy it - chocolate milkshake with brownie (I opted not to get the brownie mixed into my milkshake so she packed it up separately for me which I thought was really nice of her to do) Overall, pretty pricey. All three items totaled approximately $31 and some change. I think the ratio of cookie to ice cream on the cookie sandwiches could be more balanced, the small scoop was really pricey for a small scoop as compared to other specialty ice cream shops and the milkshakes should be offered with options with or without the mix in of a cookie or brownie. There was a little hiccup at the end at the cash with the staff member ringing up the items while she was making the different items, then forgot that she rung it up in advance and when I finally paid, she rung me up twice for 2 items. She had to call the manager who resolved the issue over the phone, but I would suggest that staff members should have a better means of resolving refund issues quickly when managers are out of the office. I didn't mind waiting but then more customers came in and I could see the staff member started getting stressed and I felt bad for both staff member and the new customers who were waiting. Nice little treat after a walk around the Pro Hall of Fame. Enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!

I was drawn in to Pav's Creamery because friends and family knowing how much I love Star Wars and Oatmeal Cream pies messaged me about the Wookiee n Cream flavor of the week. To sweeten the deal, I saw an ad for their chili cheese dogs... this week was a win win (two of my favorite things). The Pav's Chili Cheese dog without onion was flavorful and wow it was good! It wasn't your boring hot dog. The Wookiees n Cream flavor of the weak single scoop was from a galaxy far far away... delicious. It is similar to having oatmeal cream pie mixed with ice cream. The mixture of flavors in every bite. The location was clean throughout and well kept. A great place to grab and go or spacious enough booths to have 4-6.

Hands down, it was delicious. I went simple, a scoop of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of dark raspberry chunk, they were delicious. Eat in, take out, order ahead, the grab and go freezer is stocked so you will not be disappointed...I mean they even have a 21 and older milkshake menu!

It's one of the newer additions to Hall of Fame village. Myself and 2 friends arrived at 8pm on a Friday night. They were pretty dead and already starting to clean, but the staff was nice. I ordered the Crunch Wrap as my entrée however it's not what I was expecting. It was more like a Cheesy Gordita Crunch than a Crunch Wrap. Still tasty, but a bit small and not what I was expecting. My friend ordered a cocktail which I tasted and it was refreshingly tasty. My friend and I both ordered the Ohio Buckeye dessert, it was quite delish! We agreed the ice cream included was too small though considering how rich the actual dessert was. The menu has a lot of either items so I think I would go back and try again. Cons: -Parking - if you don't get one of the roughly 10 spots out front, you will be parking in a lot uphill. -Hours - they close at 8pm on weekdays, 6pm Sundays, and 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. This feels a bit early considering the area and type of spot it it.
