She smiled, walked over to my car, and handed me a box of assorted pastries and said, "Today is your lucky day!" When I tell you everything in that box was absolutely delicious, I mean it! The stripes were much thicker and less precise, the finish was not as smooth or polished, the edges were softer, and the cake did not have the same clean, upscale appearance as the inspiration photo. I reached out to customer service because this was for a special occasion and I expected the cake to more closely resemble what I ordered. Their resolution was to offer me a discount on a future cake order. While I appreciate the offer, I do not feel that a future discount adequately addresses the fact that the cake I already paid for did not meet the expected design or quality. I believe a partial refund or another resolution tied to this specific order would have been more appropriate. Unfortunately, based on both the cake and how the concern was handled, I would be hesitant to order again.
