What a pleasant surprise. Lately I've made a better attempt to noticed my surroundings. Well, today I found Melodic Bake Shop. The definition of Melodic is having or producing melody. Well, let me tell you, they are the Beethoven of baking. Baking done to the highest degree. Not overly sweet and just the right amount of density. Thus far, I've tried the Tres Leches Cake and the chocolate chip cookie. Both were out of this world:) The icing on the cake, was the customer service. Service with a smile. Gotta love it. I came in to try a few different items since I love supporting local businesses. Even more than supporting local business I love a good pastry. I walked in and was instantly greeted even though the lady behind the counter was on the phone with another customer. While she finished with the customer on the phone i looked over her selection, and decided to try a brownie, a funfetti whoopie pie, and a mini cheesecake. The brownie may be one of the best I have ever had. It was so fudgy and rich. The cheesecake was delicious with a very legit buttery graham cracker crust and the whoopie pie was also delightful. I bought my wife a cake from here for her birthday it was dry, gritty and left a bad vanilla aftertaste. I voiced my concerns to the owner but wasn't able to fully explain due to her rudeness and unprofessional attitude. She insisted that she use real butter and talking to me like I don't understand that difference between custom cakes and box cakes. I tried to explain to her that I have over 20 years in food service and this is NOT the first custom cake I ordered or made. She got so belligerent over the phone with me and in person with my wife I had to hang up and my wife walked out the shop. Bottom line the cake was horrible and not worth $185. The owner offered store credit but who would trust another product after a custom cake was messed up. The visual presentation of the cake was nice but you couldn't eat it. I followed all directions from the cake shop which is another thing. The store owner told my wife that she told me not to refrigerate it; however told me to refrigerate it because of the Bavarian cream filling and take it out 3hrs before serving and that's what I did. I ordered this same flavor of cake each year for my wife from a different cake shop and had no problems whatsoever. So since I couldn't get back down to Conroe TX to get her cake I tried this place and instantly regretted it. If you have an issue this owner is horrible when dealing with a complaint. Regardless who you are in business you have to take constructive criticism. If you can't then you will get bad reviews. Also for those who is reading this keep in mind everyone experience is different. read more

We ordered a cake for my sister's baby shower and it came out so dreamy! Just look at the pictures When we arrived to pick it up the top was plain white- which was our fault, because the reference picture didn't show the top of the cake. Love that you can go in and grab one single cupcake, cookie, cheesecake, etc. they have custom things for holidays. Love the coffee cup shaped hot chocolate bombs they did this year. It is harder than I realized to find a custom cake bakery these days. I appreciate that. They answered the phone, unlike a couple other places listed on Google and Facebook! Everyone enjoyed the cake. It was ready on time as promised. It was pricey, but what I realize is that it takes time & the commercial rent isn't cheap so I appreciate that the service is even available. read more

Really great place with a huge variety. The key lime pie is excellent as is he cheese cake and the truffles. Staff is extremely welcoming and prices are more than reasonable. If you are buying cakes, cupcakes, brownies, etc. don't mess with the big chains. This place has much better quality for the same price.
