The one person inside the truck who took my order and served me my food was really nice. She informed me of what items she currently had, made suggestions based on what I felt like eating, and smiled the entire time she serviced me. This isn't someone claiming Louisiana roots from 5 generations ago when their kin folk lived on the Louisiana side of the Texas-Louisiana border. She's from the East Bank of New Orleans, and you can hear it in her speech. Let's get to the nitty gritty... the food. Overall, I tasted enough spice and quality to warrant going back to explore more menu items. I was definitely pleased to know that she served fried ribs, considering I've never had those before. Out of all the fried items I had, which ranged from fries to oysters, nothing was fried hard, and nothing was burnt. I will give this place more of my money. Side note: The pecan candy lady that makes the pralines for this establishment is okay as well. She makes a firm textured pecan candy. Some people may not like that, but I'm a fan. It is not overly sweet. For the price point, I would expect a thicker piece, but that may be because I'm spoiled by the pecan candy maker in Dallas (check my reviews of some time ago). All in all, come here and find something to chew on. I think you'll be as pleased as I am.
