Had Barbara Jensen out to do some measuring She was nice at first when doing her sales pitch But will not give a written estimate or any type of paperwork Price ,breakdown or information on how the price is broken down.. Have never had any sort of estimate that was like that have never had someone tell me that they will not tell me how many feet they will be doing or what the size of my kitchen is or give me a written estimate.. Price also was extremely high, but even the price was not as discouraging as the salesperson.. Also she over measured by over 30 feet Had two other people out who measured at that measured my kitchen at 70 ft.² She had quoted over 100 ft.² but would not give me exact numbers.. I am very disappointed with the floor the Granite Transformation worker put in my master bathroom. They have come three times to redo it. It's still not right. Granite Transformations of Chico came out to do our bathroom countertops. They came out unprofessional looking because the sink faucets were not lined up correctly. When you have a double sink vanity and the faucets are not the same distance from the sinks it is not a good look, to say the least. I got several estimates before I made the decision to use granite transformations. I was pregnant when I made the decision for install and the date was set before my due date. A few days before my install they wanted to change my install date to several weeks later. I agreed for a week later which was 4 days before my due date. When they got there they started promptly. The guys were courteous at first. They quickly realized the piece would not fit. I had to help them lift an enormous piece of granite or they would have had to cut it in order for it to work. When they left for the day there was glue every where! They touched my fridge and cabinets with glue in their fingers. When my kitchen was measured I was told to purchase corbals but not to install them the crew would. They placed corbals under the bar and only glued them on so my husband had to remove and screw them in properly. I told them I would do my own plumbing. They caulked my sink in backwards and did not use sink clips. My husband had to tear out the sink and place the clips and caulking. I had to have them come back out and fix the seams because my cups were catching on them. When the young man came back out I told him all of my complainants and he said someone would be contacting us. I also told him a bottle of liquor came up missing as well as a target gift card. He informed me the young man he was training was acting suspicious and the next day his tools were missing and the truck was left unlocked overnight. He also told me he had no idea how to install corbals he was guessing. No one ever contacted me about my experience as well as the possible theft that took place in my home. I am very dissapointed in the service. Nothing like taking your money and running as well as having an almost term pregnant lady help with heavy lifting. Update July 27, 2018 yes 3 years later My countertops had holes in them all over. Like tiny pencil holes. I had submitted several complaints for the seams and holes and on this day they replaced the countertops. They look beautiful. Seams are so much better and they only left a little dust behind. No glue found anywhere and no theft. I got a better crew this time and I didn't have to help them install. I'm glad my persistent complaints got me the countertops I paid for. I was told the cosmic brown I originally ordered was a defect and the new one I choose would be better. I hope to not have to update again! read more

In full disclosure I did not have them do any work so this review is based on the initial consultation. Representative was on time and gave us honest feedback. Problem is the estimate was waaaay overpriced and they wouldn't be able to complete all the work because they are not contractors. Given the high priced estimate and the fact we would still need to hire other work done we decided to go with a general contractor. read more

I have mixed reactions to Granite Transformation of Chico. I like my counters, they seem durable and I have had no problems with the material. But.... The salesperson was very rude and obnoxious. He made snide and sexist comments. Also, out of 6 or more appointments we made with the company for measurements, installation, fixes, etc., all of them required at least one, up to four, changes of times and days. The counters were promised on one date, them moved 3 times to 6 weeks later. The sink had a crack, which they replaced, after 2 or 3 changes of dates. Very difficult to schedule! read more

I was in My Home for the work and had to call the fire department to remove the poisonous vapor used to glue the flimsy count top. I had to remove the old counter top that they measure wrong. It took forever to start the install. It was not seamless and only one person knows what's going on. I got my money refunded, most of it , except the price of the material. I paid a plumber and contractor to finish. More money out of pocket. read more

We wanted to do some remodeling, and so began looking around. About then I heard from a niece who lives in another area, that she had a GT do her counters and was thrilled with the outcome. So we checked them out in Chico. Out of 9 people we met, there was only one who did not mesh well with us. His job was short but was perfect. All the others, awesome folks, we miss seeing them now that our job is finished. We got new cabinets, and then new granite countertops. The cabinet guy also removed an old fashioned big fluorescent light box and replaced can lights for us as well as removing part of a wall. WE LOVE THE ENTIRE JOB. Overall I love this product. The employees who came to my home were courteous and friendly. They did their jobs professionally and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves and took their trash when they left. I only have one complaint. We live in snow country. When I had my initial appointment I expressed concern that the company would be able to deliver the granite in snow. I was assured that there would be no problem, but it would be noted that our home would have at least three feet of snow on the ground when the product was ready to be installed. When the time came for the templates to be made, I again told Don, who made the appointment that there was snow on the ground and I was again assured that his"guys were used to driving in the snow". When the template maker showed up he was in a rear wheel drive van and was not excited and visibly nervous to be in the snow. Seems he was not told. When the appointment was made for installation, again with Don, I told him we had had an exceptionally large snowfall and there was currently six feet of snow. I told him the road was plowed, but since the installation was two weeks out I wanted to be sure his installers were aware. He again assured me it was no problem and "he would make a note of it". Well the install day came and a rear wheel drive pickup shows up. The driver didn't think the trailer he was towing with all the install supplies could make it on the snow covered road so they had unhitched it and left it a 1/4 mile away. Luckily, I had a 4wd truck with a hitch and was able to get the trailer to my home. This truck is usually what my husband drives to work but he luckily drove another vehicle this day. If my truck was not available, I believe my granite would not have been installed and I would have been extremely irritated. As it was, having to ferry installers back and forth was not my idea of good customer service to say the least. The install was completed and I again had to ferry their trailer to a wide point approximately a 1/2 mi away so they could unhitch the trailer and be on their way. This was uncessary since they told me the company has a 4wd truck. They were never told they were going to be driving in the snow. Also. If you want to pay by credit card (which I did) be sure you tell them when they get there. I didn't and had to write a check because the office was closed when they finished my work at 6:30pm. Overall, I will say again that the product is great, but the office needs to work on their communication skills. read more

Years ago when GT Chico first opened I had them install new counters in my kitchen. This involved one counter that had a big sweeping radius and several other straight edged counters. The product and installation was flawless. Recently I remodeled my family room bar area that included a large bar surface, new sink, etc. Again I chose GT. I think it speaks well of the company that both the template person and installation person were the same people who long ago did my kitchen. The product is wonderful, durable, and always looks like new. The staff is very qualified, professional, and pleasant. They coordinate all other necessary tradesmen,(plumber etc) so it's one stop shopping. We just had counter tops and sinks installed in our kitchen and bathrooms. The sales woman that came to give the bid was great! The gentleman who made the templates was great! The installers were fine except that they backed into our gate. My husband was able to fix it. Things happen so we didn't make a big deal about it. The plumber was suppose to be there on the second day to hook everything up at 8:30 in the morning. He called the night before and said it would be around noon. A little before noon he called and said it would be around 1:00-1:30. The installers needed payment in full before they left. So, we paid them. 2:00-2:30 came around still no plumber. No one from the sales staff called to see how things were coming along. My husband called the store. Don was rude to him and told him that this is to be expected and that the plumber might not be able to get there until the next day. We were not told that at the time of sale or during the template portion or the install for that matter. The plumber arrived finally. He was overbooked that day. I think that is rude of a company not to plan things to run smoothly for their customers. With him being overbooked he was in a hurry to get things done and when he left 2 out of 3 sinks leaked. He came on Saturday to fix those. When he left we noticed new leaks. SO, long story short. We currently have 3 leaking faucets. read more

I had recently purchased a 60's ranch with a a severely outdated small (yet very functional) kitchen (white tile counters and the original cabinets that had been painted multiple times and hardly closed at this point). I hired Granite Transformations and, after looking through sooooo many options, elected to go with white recycled glass countertops and a dark finish on the refacing of the cabinets. I also increased storage by buying 6 unfinished under counter cabinets at a box store and stacking them against a facing wall to become my new pantry. I left for work as Granite Transformations showed up to start work and returned home to a brand new kitchen. So fast and so easy and looks great. More than a year later everything looks as good as the day they went in. This stuff is indestructible - nothing stains (and I am the opposite of careful with these things - eg. spilt red wine has sat on the countertops for days at a time). These guy turned out my project fast with quality work for a very reasonable amount of $$$. read more

I'll start by saying we are very happy with the results of a bathroom remodel (shower and vanity top). The people who did the templating and installation are absolute geniuses. They skillfully combine engineering and artistic talents, and, again, the results are beautiful. However, all of the other people with whom we worked were very very difficult. They were rude, pushy, and extremely poor at communication. They seldom called when they said they would. The final stage of the job was put off for over a week. It wasn't just "We'll be back in a week." It was not calling and then saying "tomorrow" over and over again. When we expressed frustration, they never apologized. It did not end on a friendly note at all. It ended by the person walking out with one of those angry "have a nice day" comments while not looking at you. This was after first, agreeing with me as to exactly what needed to be done, saying he would make it "perfect" in forty minutes, taking three hours, And NOT doing the thing we all agreed needed to be done. Someone else ended up finishing the job and doing it very well. We didn't call them back to fix it because we were as happy to see him go as I'm sure he was to leave. Again, the bathroom is beautiful, and we are very happy with it. But getting there was difficult to say the least. read more

The material was cut wrong leaving 3 seams instead of 1 and a wall plug with a 1/4" gap between the wall plate and the material. The stainless steel was damaged. They did not make it right. Allegedly I "let little things bother" me. read more
