He took our measurements for all hardwood upstairs, one guest room downstairs, carpet in basement theater room, and carpet on basement steps. We were moving into a new home and needed floors done immediately. Paul made a few phone calls and came and dropped off the material within a matter of days. This was a pretty big job but Paul and his team not only completed the job on time but the floors were installed perfectly. Paul also called me almost daily to give me an update and check in on progress. A renter was in there with temporary plywood countertops. Jen and GK jumped right on it and helped out. They came out the next day (they drove from Kennesaw to Buford at 4:30 p.m.), and I just heard from Jen and they are installing the countertops today!!! Wow!! a 48-hour turnaround. This is just the fabricator, (which was not indicated in any of their written materials or outside sign). When you enter the building, you will encounter hallways and a series of doors. There is no reception area, but if an employee hears you he or she will come out an provide assistance. The employee available referred us to their wholesaler, Easy Stones which was just a few miles away. When we arrived there we were asked to sign in before being taken back to view slabs. They had a great selection of slabs but they were of the exotic variety and reminded me of something I would see in a brothel or club. They were wild! We did pick out a couple we liked but we already have a preferred fabricator and a list of wholesalers from which to choose. When we arrived at Provin we specifically mentioned that we wanted granite to cover our shower walls. This is a specific thickness that is not carried by every wholesaler and we were told that Easy Stones could provide this for us. Well, they can't because they don't carry the necessary material, so we wasted a trip. Anyway, if you are looking for some wild and crazy granite for your brothel, they've got the hook up! *** For me, this was not an effective way of doing business because I would only go to a wholesaler if I wanted something very unique, if they were close to my home and used by my preferred fabricator. Also, I need something very simple for my bathrooms because they need to purr not growl when I walk in. I prefer to just go to the fabricator who has their own slabs, pick what I like, and leave with an estimate in hand. That's what I do, easy, peasy!

He scheduled Scott, who leads the remodel business to come out to give initial consultation of my multi phased full home remodel. Scott was a NO CALL, NO SHOW. He was schedule to arrive at 3pm, at 3:30 I contacted Bennett and he told me Scott had a client emergency to tend to "broken pipe". YEAH RIGHT! Even if this were true, so far, the brief history of NO communication reigns supreme with this company. I understand things happen, but there is no excuse for NO communication. Maybe Affinity Stoneworks is accustomed to customers with unlimited time and money to waste. I am not that customer. I had to take off work to accommodate Scott's schedule just for him not to show up. How am I to trust Affinity Stoneworks will not take thousands of my dollars and disappear, not show up, and string me along. I cannot. I was really looking forward to collaborating with this company, their website photos are beautiful; I was hopping my house would be a gorgeous as the one's in their photo gallery. What a disappointment.

We were very unhappy with both the process and the results of our two-bathroom renovation. No…read moresupervisor was present to coordinate the crew or oversee the work, so we came home to find mistakes daily: they installed the wrong bead board, reinstalled the old medicine cabinet rather than the new one, didn't measure for wall switches, painted the windows shut, re-installed a clearly broken electrical outlet and didn't bother to sand, leaving rough edges as trim. Aside from the mistakes, the lack of supervision meant crews operated at unpredictable times without notice (nights, weekends) and were very disrespectful of our home. They used our bed as a staging area for drywall, stored hardware on our glass picture frames and used an electric saw on our couch to cut tile. They left a mess inside every day and piles of trash outside every evening. Despite repeated requests to clean up the construction debris, no one would pick it up and we had to take it to the landfill ourselves. Each crew blamed the other for the problems so I had to contact each crew to find out how to fix the other's problems. I wondered why we even hired a contractor if we had to do this ourselves. The bright spot was Taylor the plumber, who was prompt, friendly and detail-oriented. Otherwise, we were disappointed start to finish.
