COASTAL FLOORS IS THE BEST! We submitted a request for a quote online and within minutes received a response to schedule an in home estimate. Paul came and knew exactly what he was doing. He took our measurements for all hardwood upstairs, one guest room downstairs, carpet in basement theater room, and carpet on basement steps. We were moving into a new home and needed floors done immediately. Paul made a few phone calls and came and dropped off the material within a matter of days. This was a pretty big job but Paul and his team not only completed the job on time but the floors were installed perfectly. Paul also called me almost daily to give me an update and check in on progress. Harrison also came by at the end of the project and took some of our extra trash and leftover paint from moving to their dumpster (talk about going above and beyond). Once there was an incident with counter top guys who scratched our brand new custom cabinets during installation but the owner of Coastal Floors was great with taking care of the repairs. Even though accidents happen it is all about the attitude how the business wants to fix it. When I was talking to a friend of mine about refinishing my basement, she recommended that I stop in Coastal Flooring after they did her floors that summer. I had done my research and went to 4 different showrooms to get quotes on the same product. Coastal Flooring provided the best price per/sq. ft. It is easy to get lost in trying to figure out of you are getting nickel and dimed when you compare prices of products, underlayment, labor, etc. Paul (owner) and Megan (sales) took their time to answer every question I had to make sure I knew what I was getting for my money and how the installation would work. I was also in the process of coordinating painters and trim work around the same time. Paul asked if I would like his help with contracting the work out, so I didn't have to manage and schedule the jobs around the flooring and carpeting of my stairs. I have to admit that Paul has pretty good taste and talked me out of the paint color I chose and steered me to the perfect color. Just ask to see some pictures of the houses he has flipped! Every crew that came out from flooring, painting, trim work, to carpeting was honest, reliable and did a great job. I have had my hardwoods redone in the past, so I knew that this would be a stressful endeavor to take on, even if it was just the basement. We had a kitchen floor installed a few years back but didn't provide a review at the time because I wanted to see how things held up. First of all we were charged, (in advance) for moving and replacing appliances but they were not able to replace the appliances because the floor was not dry by the time the guys left. I've noticed some imperfections like pieces not matching up and other pieces pulling away from the floor. We also had a mystery stain that just appeared and came from underneath the flooring to the top. There was nothing we could do to remove the stain so we ended up covering the floor with a rug. We would not use this company again. read more

I was lucky enough to find Coastal Floors after I had purchased carpet from Home Depot and was having trouble with the install. I needed the install to be completed before move-in day. From the moment I walked in, Megan was AWESOME at helping me select a carpet and color. She is very design conscious and great at what she does! I left the store with 2 large samples and chose one that afternoon! The next day, Paul was at the house before 8am ready to measure. Paul has a great eye for design as well and gave me some great advice about future "upgrades and remodels". He's fair, professional, funny, and manages the installs like nobody's business. The old carpet was removed the next day and the new carpet was installed the day after that! I wouldn't change one thing about the install and I'm super picky. We visited Coastal Floors in March 2015 and were in the showroom for about five minutes looking around before leaving. There were two men sitting in chairs chatting and nobody approached us or even said hello. We left and continued on to a few other stores that day. When we were getting things narrowed down, we decided to give Coastal Floors one more chance. We were greeted this time by the same two men that were in the store three weeks prior. One of them was Paul and I think the other one might have been a distributor. We told them what type/style of hardwood we were looking for and our budget. They showed us a different style of floor that we really liked and said they could do it within our budget and even gave us a verbal price per square foot. Paul came out a few days later to measure and work up a quote and said he would call by Saturday. My wife called toward the end of the day Saturday and Paul was very abrupt and said "nope, I haven't worked on the quote and nope, I probably won't get to it today." We never did hear back from Paul nor did we contact him. The initial sales pitch was super aggressive which I was willing to overlook but the service was terrible all around. We have since purchased floors for the entire main level of our house from another company. read more
