The install of our granite was great and it all turned out very well. The problem we had was with the lack of remembering wHat we had wanted and agreed upon doing. They over ordered tile for our backsplash which we were refunded. We had met and gone over everything we wanted done in the kitchen and on the day of the install it was all wrong. The install guys actually had to remove the counters to take them in and recut them to get the counters this way we had originally talked about doing them. I think maybe the owners just have to much on there plate and are not organized well enough to remember the major details. The counters turned out greAt but the process we had to go through to get to that point was very poor and could've been a lot less painful had they remembered what it was we had asked for. I wished I'd read these reviews before I got my counters with them. All the negative comments are true. Scott tells you everything is fine til the end of 2 plus months. He says please be patient about ten times. Had to redo my one side of counter twice because they measured wrong. I would of asked to replace the other counter if I would of taken plastic off before they installed. ( probably that's why they kept it on.) had 3 brown marks on it. Scott never told me that was a possibility, he just said it happens after the fact. Then when replacing the one counter he said he was going to try and match other one. Craziest thing I ever heard. And right, your deposit is not refundable. Once you start your in it for the entire job or lose your money. I'm not saying don't go to this business, just BEWARE of their practices. Make sure you chk every detail before they install!!! Scott is pretty nice if you don't get mad. Lol! But because i didn't do my homework, get more details and look at these reviews I now have shitty counters. More issues I didn't get into. But what's the point. It's done. read more

Buyer beware, we got a bid for some work paid them $50 to get the measurements called them up to get info to order and pay for the job and the company refused to provide a W-9 with tax id and info as required by the IRS for payments over $600 he then tried to justify that his accountant told him that he did not have to do this. Obviously the owner has been given bad advice but he refused to provide. The IRS requires the following: "If a company or person does not provide a W-9 to the requester, the requester must immediately initiate backup withholding. This means that the requester must withhold an amount from any payments made to the company or individual for whom no valid W-9 is on file. At the time of publication, the rate to be withheld from every payment and forwarded to the IRS was 28 percent." So I guess this company thinks its above IRS laws and general business requirements. So if they do this what else will they do or not do. update: the owner subsequently called me and left a message to threaten me "wanting to meet me" ... great business practices here, and told me that if i wanted to request a W-9 I had to do that when I got the bid ???? why is that Been in business for over 30 years and never have had a reputable company refuse to provide this info to get a job and be paid read more

These are the people that you want to hire ONLY if you want to live in STRESS for months at a time. They tell you how everything is going to be beautiful and perfect and wonderful it's going to be done in 14 days. The process started out they came and measured and then when they brought everything and started doing the granite was put in I had a problem with one of the granite slabs they took it back real ordered me another one OF COURSE they were only to happy to charge me extra because they put a slab with an 18"x 12. Black streak through it. That is when I should have gotten someone else. Once the granite was in and the next step was to put glass tile on the walls. The glass tile was EVEN MORE HORRIFIC... They put in glass that were chipped and scratched,uneven, ungrounded, and broken. I WENT THROUGH AND MARKED 58 mistakes that they had to repair. When I came back all the places that were marked were not marked anymore yet they were not fixed. They tried to get away with as little as they could possible When I complained about the glass not being flat against the wall but puckering out in places, they told me that was normal. When I got upset the second time the installer said " look we did not do it the way it should be done, we did not put new sheet rock and wire and therefore it's not going to adhere the way it needs to. We didn't do it the way it should so this is as good as it's going to get. The right way was Too Expensive. They had to come back and redo it four times. They left the house and the garage and the front driveway full of caulking and chalk the house looked like they took bags of flour and just threw it on the floor. And that wasn't even the worst part after they fixed it for the third time they left grout everywhere and even and cleaned I had to actually scrub and I took me eight hours to clean it they dented the refrigerator on the side they dent in my dishwasher. I had no proof because I did not take pictures from before. So if you're going to use them you might want to take pictures of the whole kitchen. I had just had my cabinets stained and they were beautiful until they were done then I had to clean them all over again as they left a horrific mess. They had to retro fix a cabinet and were going to leave it finished with a half ass job. When I asked the cabinet guy if he would do that at his home, he told me know that he would do it the right way. So then I asked him so why wouldn't you do that for me. I made him do it the right way. As far as paying them. Watch out, the contract is written ONLY to protect them. They came to my house did all the measuring asked for a third of the money upfront when they brought the granite they got 60%more of the $8000 payment leaving minimal to make sure that the whole job is completed. When they came to finish the job, the job was not done correctly and I told them I could not pay them until the job is in correctly. He almost got into a fight with me over the phone yelling and screaming because I would not give him his $700. I refused to sign anything stating that he had done the job because he didn't. He was threatening me to sign the paperwork. I refused. They finally got it done and I was so happy to see them out of our home. It was supposed to be a 14 day job it became a 38 NIGHTMARE.. When I asked the owner about why it was taking so long and I told him maybe he has too many jobs, his response to me was " what, are you jealous?" Who does that? I am very good at referring people that do great work and have great customer service. I would never ever refer them to anyone. This stress was horrific and it was so very stressful to ask people to do with they were paid to do. They were horrible. I hope that I save someone from going through what I went through by posting this. read more

Did not have them do a job. Just picked up some granite. What I don't like about these folks is that : 1. Asked woman 2x if they take credit cards. She said yes. But what she didn't say is that she will charge $10 more if we use them. So when worker picked up granite that's when she told him not the day before. I guess they just want cash to cheat the state out of tax money. Their receipt doesn't even have their company name, address or phone number on there; just a plain white piece of scribble on it. 2). When having to use the restroom we asked where it was and she said 'we don't have one' you'll have to use the outhouse outside. I can understand if vagrants walk in but we were clearly not of that sort. read more

The owner is very professional and after all the review we decided to go with it. They installed new cabinets and granit kitchen counter. They finished the job within a week. I have to say anytime when you do a home improvement, it is very time consuming and not everything goes as planned. However I am really happy with the result of my new kitchen. All the workers were professional and they try to clean up after as much as possible. Overall I am very happy with the experience I had with them. So the owner came to our house to do the measurements for the granite. Afterwards, he said it was all good to go and they would install the granite in about one week. Well, three weeks went by and still no granite! Finally they sent their crew over for the installation. Well go figure, the workers informed us that the measurement were wrong and the sink we picked out from their store wasn't going to fit! Hmmm Mr owner....thats your fault!! After many phone calls and trying to get ahold of the owner without any luck. We eventually got in touch with them and told them we found another company to install the granite for WAY cheaper! We did leave a deposit with them which was more then the granite was worth. So when we picked up the granite they refused go give us our credit back. Then they wanted to charge us 6 months of storage fees for the granite! What a joke!!! If you have to deal with these people don't leave a big deposit with them because you won't get a penny back from them. So save yourself a headache and go to a different granite place! read more

When my wife went back to order without me they added an installation charge almost as high as the cost of vanity and granite top. I used them for two projects. I"d not use them again. The gave me the wrong layout, forcing me tome two refrigerators from other houses around, ordered the wrong cabinets, delayed and didn't show up week after week--without letting know in advance. Ordered a cabinet I didn't need. They hung the microwave 14" over the stove and told me it was to code )which is 24"). Required 50% deposit in advance which is illegal. They also don't even place appliances to see if they fit. Won't connect faucets. Just the granite. read more

After making up my mind, the checkout, setting up an appointment to come measure my bathroom counters, and having the granite installed went smoothly. I looked at the other reviews and it seems you either love Granite Gallery or you hate it. We had a very good experience. We only purchased backsplash and had it installed. The person who came out to do the measuring came at the appointed time. The estimate we were given based on our own measurements was the one they adhered to. The installer arrived at the agreed upon date and time. He needed to return a day or two later to do the grout. It looks beautiful. We are very pleased. The prices were extremely competitive. My only complaint is that the backsplash selection was pretty l was limited, but we were able to find one that we liked. A co-worker recommended Granite Gallery and they too were very pleased. I would recommend them to anyone and if we need to replace our counter tops I will definitely go there. read more

We just had our home partially renovated and Granite Gallery had the best prices for our countertops. The material was beautiful and the communication on their part was fantastic. They took measurements and installed plywood on a Monday and on that Friday the slabs were put into place. I had a dinner party to attend at 6pm that day, and they worked with my schedule. I don't really know why there are so many bad reviews. Yes, it's a small hole in the wall shop, but that's what keeps prices lower. I had a great experience and the final outcome looks great. I purchased a quartz slab from them that turned out to be defective. They did not offer a guarantee and even though they told me the replacement would be at no cost I ended up paying full price for another slab. What a disappointment! Ok, so I am writing this review which is long overdue. This happened in July of 2014. I went to the gallery and picked out the color and stone I needed. Went home and talked it over with my family and we decided to order the granite. I called at around 3pm and ordered the granite. The person on the phone told me ok and we were done. About 30 minutes later I called and told him I gave him a wrong measurement on my island and I needed a bigger one. He told me ok the warehouse was closed and he would cancel the order in the morning at 8am and he would call me. At 11am I decided to call him and see what happened, he then told me too bad that they had loaded it and they would deliver it. He said he would refund the money minus a 20% or 25% restocking fee. I then got pissed and said how could you charge a restocking fee on something that was cancelled before it was loaded. We obviously argued back and forth and I told him that he is a crook and I would not let this slide. Well I checked my credit card statement and he charged me full price for granite that I did not even receive. I filed a dispute and my credit card company took care of it after a few months. Long story short...Granite Gallery is not an honest business establishment. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that doesn't rip off people. read more

We have been remodeling bathrooms and our Contractor suggested we check out Granite Gallery. We could not believe the choice of granites they have. The Staff is very helpful. In fact when we took in a piece of our tile the Staff found the perfect granite to go with it. With ill Contractors and deaths in another's family our remodel was over quite a period of time between granite installations. No problem for Granite Gallery. In the main bathroom they had to piece granite. This was concerning. Unless you get really close to the granite and even some times you have to run your finger over it you can not see the seam.
