We live in Granite Falls and our IGA is fantastic - their pies, salad, food cooked to order all complement the IGA products and make this store stand out. Their chicken strips, fish, soups, surimi products and many other cooked to order items are fantastic for us while being just a couple minutes from the store. read more

All I can say is their fried chicken and rotisserie chicken is really really good. Prefer their chicken over KFC any day. Their meat and seafood selection is pretty good for a small store. I like buying their tray of oysters here. Fruits and vegetables are big and colorful. Large cake pastry selection. Not all IGA's are created the same, as in, I went to the darrington IGA after traveling through the mountain pass and their chicken over there is insanely dry with weird seasonings and flavors. read more

I will say as far as being easy and convenient, this place gets top marks. Not a whole to say really. Some things I would warn you of is this place isn't very good at checking for expiration dates (I'm not talking days, I mean months.) another reason for missing a star is there's times is place has a killer chemical smell to it. I have lived in Granite Falls for almost 20 years. I've been shopping here just as long as I have lived here. The variety of food is great. They always have something in the weekly ad that I am looking for. The Bakery is great as creating specialties and there are yummy pre-made items such as pies, cakes, brownies, etc. I also really like the people there. They are what I call my IGA family. The Deli counter always has special's going on. The produce section always has fresh items to pick from. I am happy I have a great grocery store local to me. I also find the people that work there to be very, very nice, and helpful. They will even walk you over to the section your looking for if there's something you didn't find on your own. IGA is a wonderful local store serving the community of Granite Falls! They go out of their way to keep lines short and moving quickly. They always have the freshest produce, including organic! They give back to the community in so many ways, from youth groups to senior citizens. They recently cooked Christmas Be Kind meals to over 100 kids at the local Boys and Girls Club. They also allowed my nonprofit to use their commercial kitchen to cook food for the homeless. The list goes on and on. Bottom line the staff is friendly, and they keep the small town neighborly feeling alive. I love IGA! read more

Since I work out in Granite Falls, I found myself running in here now and again to grab a sandwich, or snacks for practice or games. I don't grocery shop out that far, and prices there are too high for me if I did. The place is always clean, employees are always helpful and friendly. Here's what I really like about this place. They have this thing called "We Connect". It's the equidistant to a Safeway card or whatever...it gets you deals. They email you offers that are really awesome and you can choose to accept them or not. Last week it was a whole rotisserie chicken for $4.80. And a 2.5lb family sized chicken Alfredo pasta dish for $8.99. This week it is a gallon of milk for $1.48. I love the deals. They work out really well for me to pick up and bring home after work. IGA is an active participant in the community. I love that as the local grocery store they get involved and provide assistance as much as possible for school fundraisers. Their prices are higher than bigger stores but work well when you need the convenience factor. They also have a lot of tasty pre- made food. read more

This is the right grocery store for you. Not only do they have what most places do, but it is 10 times fresher than any other place. They have large selections of whatever it is your looking for. Not only that, but they also have a new self-checkout! My only complaint is they don't have very many vegan meat options, like a beyond burger. read more

I am all in favor of patronizing smaller stores as opposed to the larger grocery stores. Having said this, I understand the smaller establishments don't always offer a large selection of options. But this is the third time I've popped in only to fine they we're out of common things. One time it was Oreo's another time it was a Hello pudding in butterscotch today is was a common seasoning Cumin. I was frustrated enough to put the other items I was going to buy back on the shelf. They worked hard a few years ago to update the store and it looks nice. The cashiers are friendly and do nice work. Just wish they had better inventory. read more

The classic quote would actually have more dramatic effect if we didn't get the Kansas feeling in this grocery store about an hour out of Seattle, a common stop for provisions for those on the way to one of the various Mt. Baker range hikes along the Mountain Loop Highway, as there are few other reasons for a casual visit to Granite Falls. However, the forthright friendliness, the aggressive fundraisers flanking the doors, the sheer size and the amount of pickup trucks in the parking lot that made us glad not to have brought the Prius so we didn't stick out even further from the locals made it very clear that we were no longer in the confines of the breezy hand of the Freeze territory. Of particular interest to those who are about to engage in strenuous exercise, the deli counter boasts (~$6 full, ~$3.50 half) sandwiches including various pre-built grilled paninis and mountainous grinders as well as custom orders to cater to even the non-indigenous vegetarian species that often surfaces en route to the parts beyond. I wouldn't make a special trip out here to shop, but if one is in need, Granite Falls Red Apple Market, bucking the basic economic forces to only satisfy, is definitely nicer than what it would need to be to simply suffice for both passersby and the local residents. read more

Stopped here to get food, hydration tablets, water, Gatorade, energy bars, and hand wipes before a hiking adventure. They had a very good selection, I got everything I needed, pretty good prices I thought, and my turkey and bacon sandwich on a ciabatta roll was only $3.99 (and it was delicious), not $8-9 like I pay in the city at a grocery store deli. Baker. They may not have the fine dining options required of so many people on Yelp. But if that's your thing then bring your own stuff. It is expensive, but it is all about supply and demand. This place is so overpriced, you won't even believe it. I expected it to be pricey because Granite Falls is a smaller town, but it's higher than I ever would have guessed, and I guessed it would be high! I think they get away with it because they're the only grocer in town, though you can get some things at Rite Aid. I don't know how the people can even afford to shop there, especially older folks who can't get around much anymore. Also, they are nice to you unless you happen to use food stamps, then they treat you like you're a pariah. And, they make sure everyone in close range knows that you're on assistance, even though they have no idea why or what your situation might be, even if you're not happy about needing help. That's not cool, and I won't go back there ever.. I'll drive the extra miles and go elsewhere. I AM DONE WITH YELP. I WISH I COULD LEAVE A REVIEW FOR IT. Granite Falls IGA has a lot of problems as of late. They have become extremely overpriced, the quality of the products are substandard especially in the deli and meat department. The meat is old and out of date most of the time. This was evident in the few meat products we have bought. Hamburger is brown in the center and on the bottom, and found this to be true with most of the meat they sell. If you buy their breads check closely for molded, found mold on many occasions in the bread section. What is most frustrating is they seem to restock their shelves and can never find what we need. It is simply a poorly run business overall. On a positive note, the staff is always courteous and supplies good service. Unfortunately we have found out IGA is in the process of reducing their staff to install self-checkout registers. So much for supporting the community with much needed jobs. Although I only go to IGA in a pinch, self-checkout is a deal breaker for me, I don't and won't support self-checkout at any retailor. Taking jobs away, especially in small community's for greed is wrong. I for one will not be going to Granite Falls IGA anymore. read more

The deli in the Granite Falls IGA Fresh Market is outstanding. I usually get one of their large pre-made wraps for $4.99 or for $1.00 more a custom wrap. The veggie/beef, chicken parmesan southwest chicken ranch and chicken peanut are the best. They are made by friendly hardworking locals. You pay at the front of the main store. I love this IGA! The small town of Granite Falls is fortunate to have such a nice grocery store right in town. They have really good food and a large variety. Try their fried chicken from the deli! It's the best tasting imho between Safeway, Albertsons and Walmart. It even goes on sale maybe weekly for $5 an 8 piece! The stroganoff and other prepared food got us through the couple weeks we were still unpacking at our new house. Did you know they make it all there? All 4 of us thought the food was great and reasonably priced at around $12 for a tray of freshly prepared food that was more than enough for all 4 of us adults. The take and bake pizza is also really good a priced reasonably. They sell it by the slice too. Are some of the prices higher than Walmart? Yes, a little. So what?! We chose to move farther out of bigger towns and knew it came with thesedetails such as supply and demand always does, anywhere. It's to be expected. I'd much rather shop here than the supermarket. It's also kept clean, employs locals and everyone has been friendly and courteous each visit. read more
