For starters, it is one thing to decide not to return phone calls in a timely manner (I'm talking almost 24 hours here) and another thing to expect a return call within a few hours time frame when you call another realtor at 6am. I understand people have lives outside of work, I just don't appreciate double standards. But, that was the least of our problems dealing with Donna. She continued to entertain offers days after ours was accepted (fine if you want back up offers) by the seller. She then proceeded to call and ask us to match the highest offer, as they wanted to give us first rights and to be "fair." We reluctantly and begrudgingly came up to the new price - obviously upset with the situation. However, when our realtor called to inform her we accepted the higher asking price, she informed us that the sellers had accepted another offer...last night?!? Why even bother calling to ask us to come up in price? We had the contract reviewed by multiple attorneys and it appears this was legal...although HIGHLY unethical. We also asked for our attorney fees to be covered since the sellers accepted our offer and we began the attorney review process, only to be told three days later that they were backing out of the deal. They declined to cover the fee, as they did not believe they were the reason we incurred the cost? Really?!? All I can say is thank goodness we didn't have the inspection done yet... To say the least our experience was absolutely horrendous! Please beware if you are working with this office as a listing agent! I would hate for anyone to have to experience the roller coaster we have gone through these past few days.
