My last experience I ordered a rib eye. OMG. I was served a piece of grizzle. I had a sharp knife that couldn't cut through it. I needed a chain saw. I was done with that steak. Any one star chef could tell this wasn't to eat. It was strictly for the garbage. They brought a better piece. I was exhausted. I really think they changed chefs and got 'a want to be' with no experience. This person came out to retrieve my sorry piece of fat and grizzle he served me and had absolutely nothing to say. No apologies at all even though I almost choked to death. The chips and pace salsa are good.

We were really wanting a good steak; didn't want to drive to Sherman or Gainesville with storms coming, so thought we would try again. What they got right. Blue Cheese dressing was good and thick and the salad large for a dinner salad. Seasoning on the rib eye steaks were very good and they were cooked to medium for me and medium rare for my husband. The cheesy potatoes were pretty good and husband's baked potato was fine (hard to screw up a baked potato). What was wrong. 1) Green beans tasted literally like they had been dumped out of a can and some commercial bacon bits thrown in and this is after we asked was there bacon in them. We expected real bacon, not bacon bits. No other seasonings could be tasted. 2) Rib Eye Steaks: My rib eye was ok, a little tough and gristly - I could eat it with a lot of chewing. Husband's was nothing but fat and gristle (see photo) - over a 1/3 was left on the plate because it was not edible. It is obvious that the steak is not a prime grade, but commercial grade or less. 3) We were also surprised that no rolls, toast or any type of bread was served with our meal. Their response was "we only serve with the BBQ". Guess this is an area where they cut back. I find it very hard to recommend this place for anything, especially with our first experience with the BBQ being so bad and now with the expensive steaks.

Restroom was clean. We had one of the lunch specials. Meatloaf, cabbage, mash potatoes and I can't remember the other vegetable. It also came with peach cobbler. And 3 teas. Service was great and the food was excellent. I'm pretty picky about meatloaf but it was really good. It did need a little more juice topping. I kinda like my meatloaf a little more moist but that's me. The flavor was really good. Everything was good. The price was great for the amount of food. Mom and I also purchased their homemade fried pies. I bought Apricot and Cherry with crème. We took those home. They were both awesome. We live over an hour away but I would return for lunch or dinner!!

NOPE, don't do it. Service here is the WORST EVER. This restaurant is north of Hwy 82 (Texas) off…read moreof Hwy 377 on the way to Lake Texoma. About 10 miles before you reach Lake Texoma and Megastar Casino. We stopped for breakfast on Saturday morning, September 19, 2026 @ 10am. Took forever to get waited on (about 20 minutes). Then waited for over an hour to receive food, as did 12 other customers in the restaurant that were there before we arrived. An older female employee with short light brown hair (about 60) kept refilling my coffee and apologizing for the slow service (as if this was not typical). I mentioned to her "Yeah, you must have a serious problem with the cooks in the kitchen." She laughed it off. Food finally arrived 1 hour later. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. Had to ask for the check. Went up to pay. The young male (about 16) at the register gave off a vibe that we were inconveniencing him. I asked for a discount since we had to wait so long. He responded with "There is no discount." I asked him to check with the manager. With irritated body language he walked away to ask a manager if we could receive a discount for our long wait time. He came back and said no discount. My husband asked to speak to a manager. A female employee came out to speak with my husband. She told him, RUDLY, there is no discount, there is no manager on duty, and the customers don't mind waiting. She acted as if how dare we ask for a discount for over an hour wait to receive food. He looked her in the face and said "We won't be back EVER, your customer service SUCKS, and we will be writing a YELP review." I find it hard to believe there was no manager on duty and they are running this restaurant like the wild wild west.
